My wife & I are extremely pleased with our experience dealing with Elliss Construction. The work itself is top notch, that should be a given for any contractor. Our satisfaction, & the reason we'd overwhelmingly recommend Elliss Construction to anyone with the need, is how we were treated. From the very beginning we were treated less as clients, & more like family. They addressed every concern we had in a timely, polite, & professional manner. When we were going through the initial process of selecting materials they found us less expensive options that we would've never known about, but they took the time to research & find us materials that would save money.In addition, every sub-contractor they used was fantastic. It's hard to have people you don't know in your home. Every person Elliss Construction sent to our home was great to deal with & made it that much easier having people we don't know in our home. In summary, Elliss Construction, top to bottom, are people of good character, & that has a value beyond any price tag.

We just had a bathroom installed downstairs by Elliss. The planning sessions were great. All of our questions were answered. They were extremely good at communicating throughout the entire project (even on weekends). We always knew when crews were coming out throughout the various phases of the project. The workers were prompt, and courteous. Every interaction with Elliss was construction was a pleasure. The craftsmanship was fantastic, and they were very good about the final walkthrough to make sure all of our questions were answered and concerns handled. Will do business with them again!

If you are looking to upgrade your home then Elliss Construction is the place to call. From the first meeting to the final walk through they provided excellent communication. We had a good vision and with their team it was seamless. They handled all permit, paperwork,zoning meeting and cleanup.We and our puppies are more than happy..

We had Elliss to construct a wheelchair ramp for us, re-clad our chimney, remove & replace siding on our dormers, close up many gaps where critters were able to enter, remove a balcony, replace windows and replace french doors into a window, so some drywall work inside and replace three huge deck supports that they noticed were splitting & not done properly by a previous builder. We were very pleased with the work they did and we are pretty picky when it comes to construction projects. Whenever we had an issue with something, they were very responsive and corrected it. Their online system to communicate & stay up to date is a big help because messages pretty much stay in one place. Sometimes, due to timing, it's necessary to receive & send a text to project lead Daniel rather than rely on system emails, but truly, we look forward to our next project with them!Services: Deck construction, Exterior structural repairs

We used Elliss for repair on our basement after water damage. From start to finish, they were extremely helpful and easy to work with. We were kept in the loop on when workers would be showing up or if they needed to reschedule. Subcontractors were professional and cleaned up the work site when they left. The finished project was exactly what we wanted. Should we ever need these types of services again, Elliss will be our first call.

Ellis is who you use for a remodel or room addition when you want superior quality. This company exceeded our expectations and the room addition we had added looks like it was part of the home when it was first built, the subcontractors were all very friendly, professional and skilled. We are so pleased with the work and the added value to our home. I had the master bedroom bath remodeled. They installed all new drywall. They removed the tub/shower and moved my washer and dryer to that space. A closet was turned into a wonderful shower. I also had the vanity top replaced, new tile floor, pocket door installed, mirror and other accessories installed, new lighting, and room painted. The project included a complete rebuild of our bathroom, replacement on hydronic heating boiler, water isolation valves, bathroom lights and vents, drywall repair in kitchen, and painting of kitchen.Planning and scheduling seemed to be the major problem. There were several trade groups that needed to be coordinated and most of the time the work only required a few days or even a few hours to complete. Several times the scheduled group did not show which compounded the problem. We anticipated that this work would be completed in October , but was not completed until February with the final boiler inspection.A big issue was that many of the workers weren't familiar with the work to be done; particularly hydronic boilers, heated flooring systems, and linear shower drains. I'll discuss some of this below.Ben did a good job overall. He was unfamiliar with the floor heating and boiler systems. This is understandable and not a problem as long as they are installed correctly and there are no issues with the other trades. (there were) I know he did his best to keep the work flowing, even doing some smaller things himself. This wasn't always good though since he chipped the tile floor by using a jackhammer to provide space to relocate a radiator pipe. I was able to fill this with grout and most of it was under the radiator.The demolition went well and ended up with removal of all ceiling, wallboard and flooring to accommodate relocation of wiring and piping.New flooring had to be installed in the shower to accommodate the wall drain. Most people thought we were installing a central drain and those everyone who knew about the linear drain thought the floor was draining left to right, instead of front to back. The flooring was installed correctly, but the sidewalls weren't extended to the floor causing a problem with installation of the wall tiles. This had to be addressed before tiling was completed.Drywall installation was very messy. They left a huge mess the first day which I had to clean up after they left. They did install plastic over the bathroom doorway after that. They failed to show up several times when scheduled.Electrical work went very well. Dave was probably the best contractor we worked with. Very competent and accommodating.The plumbers were also very good and accommodating. The only issues were with the hydronic system.. Their electrician had never installed on of these and the design did not interface with my electronic thermostats. I designed an interface circuit which he installed and this worked well. Getting the radiator piping systems fully filled was a major problem. They bled them for entrapped air numerous times and I bled them as well. It wasn't until February that I was able to finally get this done completely.The painter was in and out several times to get a final product. He also failed to show on numerous occasions. He painted the kitchen ceiling and walls with little problem. I think we had one retouch area. The bathroom was different. He had to make numerous trips between primary painting, drywall finishing, final painting, trimming and retouch. I questioned why he was not scheduled immediately after the drywall was completed to avoid trimming problems and paint on trim and fixtures, but was told "That's not it's done" and "He can trim out without a problem. "The tilers provided a good tile installation with just a few issues. They had been provided only one valve seal and therefore didn't install it until I asked them to get another and install both. They were not going to install the spare sensors for the thermostats until I asked them during installation. They did not install any wiring from the heating systems, requiring the electrician to return again.
