Wake Contracting was the best decision I could have made for our bathroom remodel. Matt communicated with us throughout the entire process and made the entire experience super easy on us. John, the contractor who performed the remodel was absolutely A-MAZING!! He walked us through everything he did for the day and set proper expectations on progress and set backs and had wonderful ideas on our remodel that we never thought of doing. If you were thinking of hiring a local company, hire Wake Contracting with absolute confidence, you will not be disappointed. We are already planning on having them remodel our kitchen and help us touch up the rest of our home, Matt and John, you Gents are awesome and we love you guys, thank you again for everything!!!

I can’t recommend Wake Contracting enough! We had a small project, adding a door to the exterior of our home for a new patio. I had a hard time finding a contractor to take us seriously, I think maybe because our project wasn’t big enough to be ‘worth’ their time. I never got that feeling with Matt. He showed up on time, gave us a very reasonable quote, and even threw in some extra bells & whistles, like a self storing screen storm door. He also went out of his way to get the exact hard to find trim we have so everything would match.The door came out great! It needed some minor adjustments but Matt came right out and got it all looking 100%. We’ll definitely be using Wake Contracting for any future jobs/remodels down the road.

If it were possible to give more than five stars, I would do that. In my estimation, Matt Wake provided exceptional contractor service in terms of professionalism, quality, timeliness, attention to detail, advice and suggestions, communication, commitment to customer satisfaction and more. I can wholeheartedly recommend him and his business. Also important, his employee Richard was skilled, conscientious, resourceful and in general a good fit for our very old wonky house. My husband and I have worked with other contractors preciously for minor projects but this time we had a major project of renovating our main bathroom, which involved tearing out walls, ceiling and part of the floor and basically starting from scratch so we wanted someone who we thought would do a really good job. After doing a fair amount of research and interviewing and getting estimates from two contractors, I felt that Matt was a good fit for us and indeed that is how things worked out. We wanted/needed to replace all of the bathroom fixtures & cabinets and change the tub area to a walk-in shower. We also attached a number of unrelated medium and small projects at the beginning and added more as we went along. Some of these projects included rescreening our large front porch and renovating the entrance to it, also tearing down an old unused crumbling chimney and refinishing the area underneath, and building new back steps. Some of the add-ons included updating metal plumbing, adding insulation to our attic, and replacing corroded furnace ductwork. Matt always kept us updated on costs as we went along. Although our budget might not have seemed huge to some people, it was major to us and Matt was very respectful of that. He honored our vision and did his best to help us plan the details, including steering us to a third party to assist us in planning some of the major bathroom materials. He worked very hard to solve problems that came along, sometimes working minor miracles. What had been the worst room in our house is now the best and very enjoyable to us in function and appearance. I joke that we should entertain our visitors in our bathroom since it is now so nice! Our other (smaller) projects also turned out well. This is a long review but I could write even more about how pleased I am with Wake Contracting. Matt made a challenging stressful situation (this was our first major renovation ever) much more navigable and doable. Finally, the icing on the cake was that Matt and Richard are just really nice people who aren't just pleasant but actually a joy to work with! Would definitely use Wake Contracting again if the opportunity arises.

I am over the moon happy with Wake Contracting. They remodeled 2 bathrooms and a few other things in my home.Matt was very accommodating.His top priority was to give me everything I wanted and still stay in my budget.Richard is a work horse. He was on time every day and worked hard the whole time he was here.No goofing off or playing on his phone.He does quality work and has a great attitude.I had total trust in him to be in my home when I wasn't there.Love my new bathrooms. Jeremy installed our stair railing for us and did a wonderful job. He was so detail oriented and worked really hard on the project.
