Aug 14 2023 is when I first met some of the folks that work at First Response, that's the day a kid hit my house in a stolen car.To say the least it was quite a stressful time.The disaster team that First Response initially sent were 2 very talented and courteous gentlemen. These fine men were not only professional in there work, but truly were and are gentlemen, many thanks to both of you.The next person I had the great pleasure of talking with was Rhonda, I'm not sure exactly what her job is as a Administrative Assistant, but I tell you that for me she was a calm and logical voice helping me wade through the turmoil of the day. Her knowledge helped guide me through the shock of what do I need to do now and get the ball rolling with insurance and figuring out how to move forward. My thanks to you Rhonda, you were a beacon in a very troubled place.My GC, Ryan O....Thank you for being the guiding hand and the tip of the spear with dealing with the insurance company. First Response did a great job! A large tree fell on my garage and totally destroyed it. They were right on it getting every contractor there promptly and and at the right time. Everyone I had contact with were very friendly and communicated promptly with me through the whole project. They explained every step and listening to any of my concerns. I am very satisfied with the quality of the new construction, the house looks great with the new garage, siding and roof. We experienced a broken pipe in the winter that flooded our basement.The farmers insurance cut us a check for $2500. This didn't even cover the demo and the pipe repair.Carpet, drywall, trim, molding... everything below 4 feet was destroyed along with our possessions.The insurance company was very difficult as they relied on a 3rd party adjuster took forever to respond.We got in touch with first response. My basement was flooded and it was a total mess. I am so grateful that I called First Response. They came the next day. John was awesome, he ran the crew (Jose and Pedro) for the water removal. He was very professional and knowledgeable. He was able to explain everything to me and answer all of my questions. Absolutely Outstanding work ethic!!! Then Craig came out to discuss my options on the restoration side of things. Again very knowledgeable and proficient. Kimberly and Tiffany work in the office and were also very helpful, professional, and understanding with regards to the billing side of things as I was working with insurance to cover this loss and the restoration. The restoration team was nothing short of AMAZING!!! (Keep in mind I had almost $25,000 worth of work that had to be done) Bret and Matt were great in working through the organization of all that needed to be done. But I want to give a special (10 star) shout out to Jeff and Bill who came early and left late to get the job done. They are really masters at their crafts. Problem solvers, fast/efficient workers, I never had to worry about anything. They always made sure that my dog didn't get out and that everything was closed up when they left. My basement has never looked better. The flood was a terrible thing to have happen but my experience with First Response was definitely the silver lining. My apologizes, if I missed anyone however the bottom line is, I would trust anyone at this company with any issues I ever have in the future. A year and half ago we lost my Dad. Our world exploded. It was just my family taking care of my mom. Moms basement flooded because of sump pump failure. 3 feet of water everywhere! I wasn’t in any condition to emotionally handle and entire finished basement under water…I called first response and the ladies in the office first and foremost became my friends. They talked me through meltdowns with such empathy that I will NEVER forget! They understood my foggy brain with all that was on my plate and talked me through anything I was unclear of. Now onto the crew who did the real work!!! Those people were God sends! Mom hasn’t been the same without my Dad; the crew was so loving and gentle with my Mom. My roof was leaking from all the rain and wind right into the attic and into my hallway upstairs. A big chunk of my ceiling fell and I was absolutely beside myself...probably frantic. I called and the manager told me they would be out within the hour. Even though they were getting ready to leave for the day - they worked well into the midnight hours over the weekend and were exhausted! The two men STILL wanted to help.Corbin and Pedro arrived and were very kind, understanding, professional, hardworking and very caring. I felt 1000% better. They did an amazing job. Did their investigation and cleaned everything up - brought in equipment and made me feel at ease and so much better. They came back the next day to check the drying process and again were super professional. They called before they came and asked if this was a good time - once I said yes, they arrived when they said they would. This was true with all three days I dealt with them. On the 3rd day, Perry and John arrived to check the process and said it was all dry! They took the machines out and these two men were also fantastic! I have dealt with a LOT of companies during my life asa homeowner for 30 years and realtor for 5 years and let me tell you, I’ve seen it all. A car crashed in to my home. First Response came out late that night and boarded up the hole. Later they presented State Farm with a quote and began the process of repairing the damage. The process was customer friendly and each and every employee was professional and knowledgeable. They always scheduled in advance to make sure that the time was good for me and my schedule. The work performed was perfect in all aspects. They also were outstanding in leaving everything clean after their day of work. This business charges a fee to do estimates. I have found others in the area who do not. I refuse to be held captive by a company charging me a fee and then crediting it to my bill if I decide to have them do the work. What if I find that while dealing with them during the estimate phase that they aren't professional or knowledgeable? This is exactly what happened to me with another company that did an estimate for me and thank goodness didn't charge for estimates. I didn't go with them and I wasn't out any money. Sorry, but I've been burned by 5 star reviewed companies before and I won't let a company charge me for doing a simple estimate.

Since an emergency situation we had several years ago we have called on First Response for non-emergency needs. We remain impressed with their professionalism and high quality work. The hands on builders and workmen are focused and their work has been excellent. They are careful to clean up at the end of the day, and remove our damaged material from the work site. Our contractor, Marshall, was extremely attentive, stopping by frequently to check on the quality of the work in progress, and at completion, called to ensure our satisfaction. When we called for questions or times Tiffany was always there to find the answers for us in a timely manner. What a great Company. First huge thanks to George and Pedro for taking ownership at 9pm. They were on the way out for the night, done for the day, then they got the call that I needed assistance. They were quick to call me, assured me that they would be there in a hour and would help. We had a huge mess due to a water line break and they stayed until 2am until they could get the damage cleaned up. My family slept while they worked in the background. George was hugely professional and he and Pedro worked diligently until the measure was contained. They were great at setting expectations on what they needed to do. How often they would be back and in communicating arrivals ahead of time. I hope no one ever needs the service. But if you do I highly recommend them and hope you get professionals like George and Pedro. Truly. My family thanks you.

Excellent service from First response. When first called the office they sent out a team quite promptly. Tony and Ron who came out was very thorough in looking over the water damage. They very efficiently did their work (well into the evening), had to rip out flooring, drill holes into the drywall base , and put up the humidifiers and fans to dry out the home.I was very happy with how thorough and professional their work was.

Let me start this by saying that I am amazed at the professionalism of the First Response team! We had a pipe burst in our basement on Monday, which soaked the carpet and drywall. On Saturday, we were scheduled to have a sleepover for my daughters 8th birthday. I was in panic mode! Out of all the companies we called, first response REALLY was the first response! They dispatched a team quickly, started the drying process and then assessed which repairs were needed. They monitored the drying each day, and on Friday they came to clean the carpets and dry them so that it was ready for our event on Saturday. I am so thankful for first response and their caring staff members! Without them, I don’t know that my repairs would have been done in time and I would have to cancel my daughters party!
