The team that built our deck led by Steven, did an excellent job. Steven demonstrated care and passion for the work he was doing. He ensured that we were pleased with his workmanship at every turn. He communicated well and kept his word. They also installed a French sliding door for us and that was also done very well. The construction crew got 5 star. An area of opportunity for the team would be better communication via the project manager and us as well as with the team. There were a few misses there that was an annoyance. Otherwise we are really pleased with the workmanship.

We hired this company to do a demo of our upstairs bathroom and the ceiling in our dining room that was below said bathroom. The guys that did the actual work were phenomenal! That being said, I'm giving the company 3 stars due to the fact it was constant fighting with their project manager and the way they left our dining room walls when we only asked them to do the ceiling. There was little to no communication from the project manager and every time we brought up an issue, she wouldn't get back with us for days. The dining room walls were smeared with paint and mud with no attempt to clean it up. The bathroom floor was not leveled and we had to tell them multiple times to level the floor before proceeding forward. I'm on the fence if I would hire them again, mainly because of the project manager.

We had an extensive kitchen remodel which included removing a load-bearing wall. From start to finish, the Homeworks crew was courteous and knowledgeable, offering a level of professionalism that made our remodel as stress-free as possible. John, who designed our new kitchen offered ideas that we never considered achievable. Michelle was always proactive, reaching out with information so we never felt in the dark about what was happening from day to day - something we greatly appreciated. We would not hesitate using this company's services again and will recommend them to others.

My experience with Home Works was very good. Starting with John who was very professional and was great coming up with a design and layout exactly what I wanted. Suraya as the project coordinator was also great. She kept me informed on each step in the remodel of when they would be at my house. The construction works were very professional and cleaned up their job site before leaving for the day. The quality of the products and workmanship was very good. The timing given to me regarding the timing or work and finish was on time always. i would highly recommend Home Works to do remodel for you.

I had a lot of remodeling to be done and I'm so thankful that I picked Homeworks to do the work. They have been absolutely amazing to work with from initial quoting, to project management and coordinating. Not to mention the excellent work that was done. I replaced all floors, did a full house interior paint, had shiplap installed, remodeled two bathrooms, replaced all light fixtures, windows, patio door, front door and storm door. The list goes on and my home is beautiful now thanks to Homeworks. And the entire process was so well communicated that I never had concerns about entrusting them with the work. Our dining room was redone by HomeWorks. They stripped the room to the studs and installed new flooring, walls, and ceiling. Michelle (the project manager) communicated with us regularly to let us know when people would be coming to our house. The part that took the longest was waiting for the electrician to be available to come install the new outlets. All of the workers we communicated with were professional and friendly.As another reviewer stated, "there were a few misses that were an annoyance." We had to ask that the painter come back, as there were spots they missed on the walls and baseboards. We also asked to have a section of the baseboard redone because it wasn't done properly the first time. When we voiced concerns about both problems, the project manager was responsive about addressing these issues. At one point they had to pull out our fridge to do the trim around the door, but mistakenly unplugged the fridge when they put it back (in its tight spot). Thankfully we caught it a few hours later, but by then all the workers had left and we had to recruit a friend to help us.Overall, we are pleased with the workmanship and the final look of our new dining room!

A Five Star operation from design phase through to project completion! HomeWorks is a very professional, reputable company. We had one big project to renovate our kitchen and master bath, and convert a screened-in porch into a beautiful year round breakfast room. We had many revises to our original design that were patiently drawn up until we decided on a final plan. The quality of craftsmanship is excellent and we are very happy and pleased with the final result. All of the team members were polite, friendly, and respectful of our home and to my wife during the renovation. We made several additions to the project in the middle that were quickly incorporated. Homeworks Construction and Remodeling did an outstanding job on the restoration of our basement. A broken exterior drain pipe caused major flooding of our townhouse basement. Extensive mold and mildew quickly formed and damaged the walls, baseboards, and carpet. HomeWorks came quickly to our aid removing and disposing of the sheet rock, baseboards, and our wall to wall carpet. The team sanitized the basement and restored it, while protecting our furnishings. Their work was well coordinated and extremely thorough. The team was easy to work with and their communications and updates kept us apprised of the work in progress. I hired HomeWorks to tackle a kitchen remodel project in my house over the summer. It was a big project for my house, but in the scheme of things, a relatively small task for the company, who I came to understand does a lot of construction/remodel work with businesses and larger buildings. Regardless, I never felt like my kitchen remodel was a lesser priority to them. Truly, I lost track of how many times I was impressed by their attention to detail. They kept me updated on when workers would be coming in and out of the house and they showed up first thing in the morning. I never felt like they were taking shortcuts or ducking out early. They always cleaned up after themselves each day too, which I appreciated. Nathan, Suraya, Tony, Matt and the rest of the team are awesome communicators, kind, and repeatedly made sure everything was being done according to my hopes. I'm very pleased with how the remodel turned out and plan to use their services again for future projects. I've also already recommended them to friends who need reno work done.

It was an absolute joy having HomeWorks' crew replace my roof. Without exception, Jersey, Braxton, and Drake, led by Gary the foreman, were professional, courteous, and conscientious, from start to finish. I was impressed each morning with a knock on the door to kindly announce their presence and a knock when they were done for the day. The site was cleaned each day and they left without evidence of having been their except leaving me with a fantastic new roof.I was impressed as well that Gary regularly and thoroughly explained any anomalies and details of the work, and regularly asked if I had questions, comments, or concerns. The crew was fun and good-natured and seemed to like and appreciate their work. Neighbors stopped to admire and inquire about the work, and one even took pictures to send to her roofer, whose work was less professional.Denny Shay, the sales rep, did an exceptional job as well. The HomeWorks team delivered another stellar performance in the second major project for which we've contracted with them. The first was to build a new deck, and this project was a Master Bathroom overhaul of the vanity and tub areas. We really enjoy the knowledgeable, consultative approach of Jerimee at the beginning of the "sales" process, and the way that he passes on his notes and coordinates with the rest of the HW team is second-to-none. HomeWorks helped to connect us with local suppliers to aid in the selection of the perfect vanity cabinetry and countertop, and the contracting and e-signature phase was simple. Then, once the project kicked off, the expert installers and contractors were excellent, as well. They not only proved that they are finely trained craftsmen, but they also took the time to pause, think, and ask us for input as to how we'd prefer things to look, rather than making assumptions. They were ultra flexible and communicative – and despite the project taking place during a global pandemic, they were very respectful and wore masks any time they were in the same room as me or my family members. Really top-notch group. They installed my roof 7 years ago (under warranty) and I found a leak and water damage on my ceiling in one of my bedrooms after a recent storm. They scheduled me for a 9 am visit 4 days later to examine the damage and give me a quote for repairs. They never showed up or called. I had to call them 45 minutes after they were supposed to arrive and was advised that it was going to be almost another 3 hours before they "might" be here. Then a manager, Michelle, called to say the service person was already on a job at 9am today. She refused to acknowledge their mistake and told me I needed to take additional time off work to deal with their screw up. She then advised we can reschedule or she will just hang up. Clear indications they cannot handle proper scheduling. Definitely best to go with more responsive companies.

Not very happy with our experience.Estimate start date was several weeks later than anticipated. I get delays, but the job coordinator said its underestimated frequently "He does this all the time".They would not print out an itemized estimate. When they never brought a trailer for trash that cost $350 on the estimate, they said it was not quoted on the estimate. I knew it was...I remembered. I was insistent and they then admitted it was.Ordering items was mishandled several times. Asking me to replace items I picked out because they could not get them in a timely manner. One example, a toilet I wanted they said was 12 weeks out....I purchased myself and had it at the house in less than a week.The tile pattern on the wall that I had laid out was not installed correctly. I saw this after it was set and grouted. He did say he would redo it, but it was not worth it to me.Upon completion, they left grout grit on the tiles, sloppy/unfinished grout lines, dirt in my vanity, unfinished transition into the room.The one saving grace was Suraya. She was wonderful in helping solve problems and getting things on the right track.The kicker is...they are now working on my neighbors roof and they have a trailer that is parked at the end of our icy, steep driveway and they won't move it. They haven't been working because of the weather and they don't anticipate being done any time soon. Sigh...

We were excited to start a project on our home, so we had Home Works come to our house and look at the work that we wanted done (siding, new windows, new front door, concrete walk, etc).A guy from Home Works came and looked at our house, and he said he would get back to us with an estimate. A little over a week later we hadn't heard back, so we called him. The guy said he would get an estimate to us the following week.We never heard from them again. 😕

I talked to several companies prior to hiring HomeWorks out of South Bend/Mishawaka.I had an apt with their sales person who was very prepared for our meeting. He had already done an aerial review of my roof so he knew how to appropriately quote prior to our meeting.He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions.I ended up going with HomeWorks per their certified methods of install that would allow for craftsmanship and materials warranty. If I move, new owners can get the warranty. I also liked the sales rep a lot and the price was good!Crew was very hard working and got the job done in a day. They worked many hours that day. Their supervisor followed up the next week and inspected the work to give final stamp of approval.They left a yard sign I am proudly posting because I am very very happy with my new roof and HomeWorks!I would highly recommend you contact them for roof repair or if you need a new roof.Happy in Elkhart and LOVE my new roof!Nancy Pittman

I contracted with Home Works to install a new roof on my house. They were one of many quotes that I requested. They were not the lowest in cost but by far the most professional and qualified. The quality and professionalism was well worth it! Denny came out to do an estimate and then came back with a very detailed estimate and power point. He went through all their certifications and how they approach the job from start to finish and how and why they do things! They were very meticulous and detailed! Denny was very professional and personable! The cleanup and quality of work was better than I could have asked for! I would recommend them to everyone! The roofing crew were very kind mannered and professional as well! Thank you to the entire Home Works team for your kindness, professionalism! I now have peace of mind before the winter season!

Last year I had my roof replaced by Home Works. I along with a friend observed about a year later that the roof did not seem to be done right and there were some other issues that needed attention. I contacted Denny Shay who came out and agreed that the roof was not done properly by the last crew and he would look into it. Admitting the job was not done properly, Home Works hired a better crew who replaced my whole roof at no other cost to me. The crew was out there non-stop from 8:30 am untill 6:00pm and did a fantastic job! This company 100 % stands by its warranty!

They returned my call promptly (!) and all the work and communications were very professional. Gene (the coordinator/manager) and Frank and his crew did an excellent job, and finished everything on time. There was a lot to do, and they exceeded expectations. Am very happy with everything, and would recommend them to anyone!We used HomeWorks again recently for a roofing job, and once again, Mike and his crew did a wonderful job! We are working with HomeWorks on (3) projects a roof replacement, (2) replacement egress windows and a kitchen remodel. To date the roof has been completed and the kitchen remodel will begin on September 3rd.My roofs looks fantastic, the crew was VERY professional and got the work done quickly even with bad weather.The estimators have been fantastic to work with. These are our first big projects and the guys were there to answer every question. They even answered our last minute questions after hours and on weekends to put our minds at ease. They even re-did the kitchen layout at the 11th hours with a last minute change. There was never a complaint they just did what we ask. Perfect customer service. THANKS GUYS!We are just starting to work with the project management team and they also seem VERY professional.I will be posting pictures as each project is complete.I would definitely and already have recommended HomeWorks to friends and family members.Update: My replacement egress windows are in. The guys did a great job and the windows look great. The lead carpenter was great to work with. He noticed some of the trim around the window was rotten and went out that night to purchase new trim to finish the job on time.The kitchen is 90% complete and looks amazing. It has not been a totally smooth process. There were a few small quality issues and communication during the project has not always been good. The project management team seems a little too busy. I would suggest Home Works looks to add personnel to that department. That being said the whole team at HomeWorks is great to work with and are dedicated to ensuing each project is completed to the highest standards. When mistakes were made they were always correctly quickly and well (Never in compromise on quality). Many people especially the project manager have gone above a beyond from the beginning and even done several extra things not included in the project. My thanks to the whole team for the hard work and dedication. I will be having homework's remodel our bathrooms in 2021.I truly wish and could give them a 5+ rating. Go HomeWorks!

Unfortunately I have had two vastly different experiences with HomeWorks. I used them in 2020 to finish my basement, and was very happy with the experience. They were very responsive throughout the process, worked with me to make sure I was getting exactly what I wanted, and I was happy with the final product. Because of that experience I went back to them when I needed to do some repair work due to some water damage. Unfortunately this second experience was completely different. (I believe this is a separate department within HomeWorks for what that is worth). After initially reaching out I was contacted to get some basic info and was told someone would follow up with me to set up a walkthrough and estimate. That never happened. After not hearing back I reached out again and was told they were busy but that I would get a call back. Again that call back never happened. In the end, as much as I wanted to go with HomeWorks for that job I had to go with someone else who would actually respond. So, while I would recommend them for larger remodeling jobs, I would definitely not recommend them for smaller home maintenance/repair jobs.

Gary and his crew did an outstanding job. They worked on a Sunday due to our Indiana weather and they worked from 7:30 am to 9 pm trying to get the job done before we got more rain. By noon the next day the house and garage were complete and awesome. Gary was super responsive and always checked in with me to let me know how the project was progressing. I highly recommend this company. They go above and beyond to ensure you are satisfied with their service.

Previously my husband & I did all of our own home repairs/renovations and improvements. After being widowed, I had no idea how to even coordinate the several different types of improvements I needed done on my house. HomeWorks is truly a one call, do it all, service. From the very first phone call, everyone was friendly, professional and personable. They were patient with my many questions and explained things in detail. At the end of every work day, I was always informed of what they did that day and what the plan was for moving forward. Their clean up afterwards was impeccable. I did not hesitate to leave my house unlocked for them nor to leave them alone in my home. From my initial contact with Home Works (online quote request) & their response within an hour and an appointment within 2 days to Mark Oliver's initial presentation and quote I was impressed to say the least. After completion of the job I was 100% satisfied. Home Works is one of the best and most efficient companies I have worked with for home repair. They were able to completely strip (double layer) and repair & re-roof my house in one day. A couple of days later they came and installed the gutter screens for leaf guard. Hi highly recommend this company for any work needed around the house.
