After a hail storm in the area, a Five Star team member came through the neighborhood and offered to check the roofs to let homeowners be aware if there was damage. He took pictures and sent them to me and explained the process of contacting my insurance etc.I had no idea there was even any damage done so that was an awesome service. Since I have never had to make any house insurance claim I appreciated the time he took to explain what I could expect. Five Stars team was never pushy, but did check in to see how things were going. When I finally got all things set up, they were flexible to meeting with me about the next steps as I was in an extremely busy time at work and had to reschedule a couple of times. Very pleasant people to work with. The roof work was done in a single day and they arranged everything for the gutter work to be done a couple weeks later. I visited the office to make the final payment and they were very kind and helpful—they treat you as a part of the family. The material and lifetime guarantee on the roof gives peace of mind. Needed a repair done on my roof after a storm. Five Star showed up. I could tell the person didn't think the job was big enough right out of the gates. Heard nothing for 2 weeks. Called back and was told I got moved to a Project Manager. Promised to be called back multiple times. After the 10th call back, the PM finally called me back to tell me they didn't have time to help. 3-4 weeks of wasted time. Don't let them waste your time. Find someone who wants to help.

We hired 5 Star Home Improvement to replace our roof and fix some fascia after tornado damage. We had great communication and they fixed our roof right away. We were told the fascia would be fixed after the roof was completed. We’ve spent the last 2 months sending multiple emails, texts, and phone calls with little or no response. We’ve been told someone will give us a quote and then they never responded again. Very disappointed because we had a good experience replacing the roof.

Called and scheduled an appointment to quote roof/siding damage. Sent company a reminder text to verify time slot. Called 30 minutes past scheduled time. Was told a tech was going to call back and that didn’t happen. Poor communication. Worse customer service. Not a good way to do business.

Tim Newman did an amazing job getting this project started and guiding it to completion from everything from dealing with insurance and submitting pictures and forms to helping us find the right shingle color. The installation crew was fabulous! They cleaned everything up so we’ll…no nails! They did an amazing job on the roof! Five Star was very professional from the initial inspection to helping me through the entire claim process. They made it exremely easy and I felt very comfortable knowing that they were getting it done properly. The work crews they use are EXTREMELY friendly, tidy, professional and flexible. With all of the different companies out there that claim they can "do your roof" hands down these guys were the best. Not to mention less than a month later we were hit with a hurricane and my roof was prestine the entire time. Anyone looking into these guys, no questions needed. Working with Five Star Home Improvement LLC has been the worst customer service experience I have had in many years. We just finished repairs on our house due to hail damage. The communication and customer service has been very poor and I can't get anyone, except my sales rep, to return my calls. It took over three weeks to complete our siding because the quote and measurements were done incorrectly. Our grass is dead, there are still elements to be redone and we are totally frustrated in the lack of response from the company. If you have a signed a contract with them be sure to go over everything with a fine tuned comb and double check everything. You will have to manage it, including take pictures of the materials delivered and left over at the end. To those that we referred Five Star too, we are so very sorry and hope that your project goes much better than ours. Our sales person, Michelle, has done her part in trying to make up for all the issues but the management response has been ZERO.Service: Roof repair for storm & wind damage

Completely disappointed in this company. I was looking to get roof, siding and gutters done. The guy working with me moved quickly on the roof and seemed genuinely interested to help us. Well, more like they were just interested in the insurance money for the roof and left us high and dry for the rest of the work. Roof was done in May, had to keep trying to contact him to talk about siding. Communication was horrible. FInally gave up trying to work them in July when another company approached me. I'm going with this new company, who has explained everything better, came and looked at the siding the first day, and is great at communicating. They are going to help me work with my insurance company to make sure that 5 Star didn't get paid too much for the little work they did. They also left a pallet in our yard and lots of nails, several in the street. I'm so frustrated with 5 Star, and wish I could go back in time and not have chosen to work with them. Wish I could give them 0 stars. DO NOT CHOOSE THEM, there are much better companies out there that care more about you and your whole house, not just getting all your insurance money for just the roof, and then ignoring you!!!

We had our roof repaired two weeks before derecho. I had been trying to email our service rep for weeks to have someone come look at our roof. I called the office a week ago the girl I spoke to acted like she didn’t know anything and gave me a Justin’s number and said he was the best person to talk to. I called him and he was rude, seemed like I was bothering him, didn’t give me any response and told me to text him my name and address and someone would be out Monday. Well it is now Friday again and no one has come out, no one has called and this “Justin” never responded to my texts.We will not be using Five Star for the rest of our remodeling needs. We’ve repeatedly asked for siding quotes, for someone to pick up extra materials and assistance with our roof post derecho and have basically gotten ghosted. I’ve said repeatedly that I understand they are extremely busy and have been patient but it’s been ridiculous. It’s one thing to keep in contact and apologize for delays but to never respond is just horrible customer service. Had a good experience getting the quote and scope of the work. Information was great and product they use are great and even have a transferable warranty. Crew that came to do the roof show up at 2pm and were done by 8:30pm. Cleaned up well after themselves. We hired the company for roofing, siding, and gutters. So far they have replaced the roof on our house and garage. We have on the contract they were to replace the sheets on our garage roof prior to putting the new roof on as the sheets have aged and are waving. The employees put the new roof on and never once notified us this was not being done. The roof looks waving and we completely dislike it. the worst communication I have ever had with a company. I got my roof in May and I am still waiting for repairs. They however don't hesitate to reach out for their money before work is done. I was working with the GM Phil. He was full of empty promises. After the roof was done he quit responding. DO NOT USE THEM! I have told everyone I know to drop them as well.

Bought new roof, told them to replace portion of water damage plywood on garage and they failed to replace it before installing new roof. When I contacted them to resolve they told me "it's just mold, spray it with bleach and it will go away"Now after the derecho, I called them to repair a portion of the shingles & gutters damaged in the storm. They send the same representative to my house as I had 2 years ago, he inspects the problem and "will call me soon".
