John Jakobson is a nightmare to work with. Never finished the job, subpar quality, made promises in the beginning, then walked out the door as we were going through punch list. Extremely temperamental, unpredictable (didn’t show up for months!), unreliable, and get this: he was at our home working during the derecho, rubbing his hands together with glee, saying how much work the damage from the storm was going to bring him.Just avoid at all costs. We had to hire another contractor to finish $6,000 of the work he left unfinished.

Jakobsen completed several repairs after the derecho storm damage to my Mom's house. Quality workmanship in a timely manner (especially with the circumstances of the storm). The owner John and workers were all very professional and responsive! We would not hesitate to use this company again.
