Within an hour of my washing machine malfunctioning & laundry room flooding, Paul Davis was here to evaluate and answer my questions. Fan/dehumidifiers were brought in the same day. I was called, texted and checked in on throughout the 3 day process. All employees were so kind and friendly. They came back to finish trim work within the week to complete the job. When I first started working with this company, I was super excited. I thought they were going to be absolutely amazing. Unfortunately, as time went on, they ended up treating me and my home very poorly. The brand new floor that they put in they put a bunch of rips in. Then when they were supposed to get somebody to fix it, I took time off to be there and they canceled on me an hour before they were supposed to be here. Those are just two examples of all the things that I had to deal with with this company. One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a company I would absolutely not recommend these people.I see that since I posted this, you’ve made a response. Well figured I’d respond as well. I guess if you consider not putting things back, not hooking up my appliances the right way so that they can actually be used, wasting my time when people won’t show up when they’re supposed to (not referring to the floor contractor), Treating me like I’m stupid, and treating my furniture with no care by placing cups that sweat on good wood surfaces, and tearing up the flooring ( which your contractors didn’t report, I did) and hoping to get away with it as respectful then your totally right.

I have lupus, the thing that negatively affects me the most is stress. We had a small kitchen fire that resulted in smoke damage, toxins and an awful smell. Physical demands aside I truly could not handle the stress.Paul Davis (main rep was Trevor) was absolutely wonderful to work with.I say work with but they coordinated everything, took care of it all and made sure I didn't have to think about it. They kept us up to date but also let me rest while they worked.They made it so I was not in charge, an excellent thing for me.They kept to the timeline and got me set back up to normal with 24 hours to have Thanksgiving with my family.It may not be that big of a deal to some but meant the world to me.A lupus flare brought on by stress for me means I stress stutter and that my organs and joints get attacked.You have no idea, Trevor, what you kept from happening to me, getting the particle fan in here during your consult? TMI about me (I overshare), but you were literally a life saver in my case!

Review updated belowWhen I first started with Paul Davis, tbeybwere great! Very communicative, punctual, easy to work with. They helped get the water out of my basement from a broken pipe, got everything dried out, worked super well with my insurance, got the new walls and fixtures put it. It was amazing.Ever since I got to the last part of the job, it has seemed like a 180. They needed to hire in contractors to do the laminate flooring, and apparently not enough material had been purchased for the job. I waited weeks for the contractors to even come in the first time. Not PD fault, necessarily, they can't control when the contractors are available. But I didn't know the contractors were even coming the first time until an hour or two before they showed up because no one called to let me know. Flash forward I'm waiting 2, 3, maybe 4 weeks for this extra FOOT of material that was somehow missing, but apparently it still wasn't in. The contractors then set up another time to look at the job again, and a couple days later I get a call that they are going to come out Thursday 10/26 to do the job. This was confirmed just the Friday before. Cool. I had to change my in office day for work to be there, but I want it done. Fast forward to 10/26 at 11am and no one has shown up, and no call. I call PD to see what's going on and find out 2 hours later they STILL don't have the material to finish the job. So they set the install ate without all the material. I am still waiting to hear back on ETA for this last FOOT but I kept getting requests in my email and through text to review... so here is my review of my project that is still unfinished 10 months later. And probably 2-3 months of that time has just been waiting. At least the basement isn't a main living space, I guess.UPDATE: Paul Davis has been in touch following the initial review. I have spoken with Scott (one of the owners) a couple times who apologized and touched base on where the project was at and what a realistic timeline would be due to backordered product (the actual timeline ended up being quicker than projected). The flooring that was on back order did come in, but we hit another snag with it. We were able to work together to find a location with vinyl in stock same day to get the floor then installed the morning after it was initially re-scheduled. All remaining touch ups and moving of the larger items were handled quickly, and the finished project does look amazing.

Paul Davis did an amazing job helping us out! We initially had a sump pump failure which flooded our newly finished basement, which Paul Davis responded to quickly and mitigated to limit the damage. Shortly after that a storm came through that caused damage to our roof, siding and garage door. Paul Davis again quickly responded to tarp our roof. Then Paul Davis worked with our insurance company and adjusters on both claims to document and estimate the mitigation, temporary repairs, and reconstruction on our home. They were able to take the stress off our shoulders through this entire process and got things approved quickly. They just completed the repairs to both the interior and exterior of our home! Paul Davis Restoration helped me out when I had rainwater damage due to a leaky roof. They had someone at my house within a matter of hours to get the mitigation process started. I primarily worked with Bri L., Cara B. and Jim S. All of whom, were very professional, knowledgeable and helpful! I was able to get guidance on how I should proceed with things, and felt very reassured during the entire process that things were going to be okay. I can not say enough good things about Trevor and his team at Paul Davis. We had a pipe burst behind our shower. From beginning to end, Trevor kept us informed on the whole process, and any updates as they happened. He answered all of our questions and explained everything to us. I recently had some water damage in my kitchen that had caused my kitchen floor to be wet and cause damage to my finished basement wall and ceiling. I reached out to Paul Davis and spoke to the receptionist. She was very professional while she spoke to me on the phone. That day ibwas put in touch with Trevor. We had a water leak in our basement, which we didn't catch right away. Not knowing what to do about all the water damage, we called Paul Davis. They dispatched someone immediately, assessed our needs, and began to tear out the unsalvageable parts that were affected. Then they installed high powered fans and treated for any mold spores (none was visible - yet!). Our insurance was dragging its feet, but Paul Davis even took it upon themselves to deal with the insurance company, so reconstruction is just around the corner. I highly recommend Paul Davis Restoration. Property had roughly 2” of standing water in the morning. I worked with Jim and he was there within an hour to assess, diagnose and come up with game plan. His crew arrived shortly after and they had the entire place cleaned up, drywall removed, and flooring all taken out and cleaned up. Within couple of days place was all dried up. The owner, Matt, had an estimate sent to myself and him and Jim worked directly with my insurance adjuster. Jim was extremely professional and very communicative throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend Paul Davis! We recently had Paul Davis at our house to fix a mold problem in our bathroom ceiling. After we called and told them our problem, they sent a representative that day to assess it. The next day, the crew was there to fix it. Everyone was very nice, and they did a great job of explaining the problem and what they were going to do to correct it. In February 2021 we had a pipe burst. Our insurance company, Liberty Mutual, called up Paul Davis and sent them to my house for water damage mitigation. Paul Davis was prompt and courteous at the beginning. Liberty Mutual also used Paul Davis to get an estimate for the repairs. Paul Davis came back with a number nearly 3x less than what my contractor said it would take to fix the house. ($56k vs $147K) Due to the huge discrepancy my insurance contract stated that I could get another, disinterested party, to give an estimate. That company came back with a number less than $4000 from my contractor's estimate ($143K). Liberty Mutual requested that Paul Davis do yet another estimate. This time their estimate came back slightly higher than their original, but still about 3x less than what my contractor and 2nd company estimated. After going round and round with Liberty Mutual (They also get 1 star) they sent out another independent company to do an estimate. This company was very close to my contractor and 2nd company's estimate. I was told by a Paul Davis employee that Liberty Mutual "put constraints" on their bid and that's why it was so low. When I approached Liberty Mutual they denied that happened. In the end, Paul Davis was neither willing to do the work for such an unreasonable estimate THAT THEY GAVE and were not willing to admit to Liberty Mutual what they told me regarding "constraints".I'm not sure what type of business they are running, but they are certainly on the side of the insurance companies and not the customer. How can a company give such a low ball estimate for repairs and then basically refuse to do the work for the price they quoted? If you need water mitigation, I guess they are OK. If you need someone for an insurance quote...Stay far away.Service: Water damage-related cleanup & repair
