Can't say enough good things about John @ Sunrise Builders. Hands down the best contractor we've ever worked with. We needed an exterior door put into our mudroom and John was recommended by a family friend. Once John arrived, we didn't have to worry about anything, and I can't stress this enough.His communication was excellent, so we didn't have to worry about what was happening at any point in the construction. He was punctual, so we weren't worried about whether he was going to show and if the work would get done. The quality of work was outstanding; the door, drywall, framing, siding, and step leading to the outside, all looked like they were part of the original construction of the house. Everything tied in beautifully. Once the work was done, we were left with a beautiful, fully functional exterior door - no messes to pick up and no areas of the build that needed 'touched up' by us.John's meticulous manner and dedication to following code are exactly what make him stand out above the rest. If you're looking for a professional who's going to do the job right - John is your guy. I would absolutely recommend Sunrise Builders to anyone looking for a home improvement contractor - there are no better hands to be in. I will definitely be calling him again myself, with any future needs. Big thanks to John at Sunrise Builders.

I plan to sell my house and needed to have my deck railing and steps replaced. My timing was not good - between the derecho recovery still ongoing and the current labor shortages, I wasn't sure I'd find anyone to do this job. I had at least two workmen look at it and then ghost me before a friend referred me to John. He was nothing short of amazing. He came out, agreed to do the work, and then he actually did it.His workmanship was great and I'm so very pleased with the results. I tried to stay out of his way, but one day I looked out the window just to see how things were coming. I was so happy I started chuckling to myself. I had to go out and tell him how much I liked what he was doing.I also can't say enough about how flexible John was and how well he communicated with me. If he couldn't make it out on a day he planned to come, he always let me know. If he was even going to be a little late, he let me know that, too. When I say he was flexible, I mean that I kept throwing more tasks at him than what I originally asked him to do, and he just did them all. He was always upbeat and smiling, even when I kept asking for more.So yes, I highly, highly recommend Sunrise Builders. John will absolutely be the first person I call if I need anything done in the future.
