I wish Google would let me give them 0 stars but, alas, they get one from me. We had Nyles and Erik replace our roof and siding after a storm. They did all of the normal terrible stuff: they no called and no showed on appointments, lied about timelines, hired subs who did absolutely terrible work, and took no ownership of it, they neglected to pull a building permit, and they were borderline illiterate when trying to invoice or provide the proper insurance paperwork and documentation. Months after they stopped returning our calls with work still left not finished, we started to receive paperwork from law firms representing subcontractors and material manufacturers who were attempting to place liens on our property because Nyles had neglected to pay them, which took us a lot of time and effort to straighten out.Now on to the weird stuff: throughout our difficulties in just trying to get a schedule, an explanation of where our money went, or really any information from Nyles and Erik, Nyles would go into an angry, aggressive spiral. We have MANY texts from him threatening to show up at our property “when we least expected it, with torches and pitchforks”. He sent most of these to my wife, some of them on weekends at close to 2 in the morning. It was completely bizarre and made us all uncomfortable.He also completely belittled his staff and subs, and every time we had an issue he called whoever was under him a criminal. He takes ownership of absolutely nothing.Another weird thing: the high ratings and quotes on the Oak Ridge website are all fake…it’s not even a good attempt at faking it. I’m sure there are some laws about false advertising, and I’m also sure Nyles has no regard for them. This is also the 4th or 5th roofing company that he has started after the previous ones flamed out or got into legal trouble.If you want some further good reading, you can go down some rabbit holes of other stuff that Nyles has posted online. Wild stuff!This industry is hard enough to deal with as is, but Oak Ridge, and Nyles specifically, are the absolute bottom of the barrel. Don’t spend any time, money, or small shred of your thoughts on these guys.

TERRIBLE COMPANY TO WORK WITH!These people are crooked as can be. They say they will do things and them never finish what they say. They hired some crook and put him in charge while they went on vacation. Now they don't want to follow through with the customers they had while this guy was working for them. They hired him knowing he had many aliases, with no references, and he was basically homeless when they hired him. They allowed him all of this power, and he stole from them. Now we are getting the blame and the short end of the stick because they hired a crook. They want no consequences for their bad business practices.We have video evidence of them agreeing to finish the work at our house and there has been little follow through.Upon further research, Oak ridge has lost multiple law suits because they stole money from people when their homes were destroyed in a natural disaster in New York and the other in North Carolina. We just bought a house a month ago, which needed a roof pretty bad. We only had a certain amount of money we could spend. We called Nyles, and he came right out and discussed the situation with us and recommended a metal roof which we agreed to. Once the material was ordered and delivered. Nyles came out with his crew and knocked it out in two days. They did an excellent job! They went above and beyond for us. We really appreciate what he did for us. There needs to be some more work done, and I plan on calling Oak Ridge, when the time comes to do it.

Yesterday Nyles crew was out and re-roofed my duplex. They gave me a great price and did a really nice job(I got several bids before letting them start work.). They sent a guy around the yard with a roller magnet to get all the nails. They laid a tarp on my lawn to catch as much trash as possible. I actually could not find any trash in the yard, that is really unusual high quality work. The roof looks really nice, I went up to inspect it myself. I roofed many roofs when I was younger, they seem to have caught every possible issue before it could happen.I will recommend them to my friends and family.If you have second doubts about the work just message me and I will tell you in person.
