Late March I had damage to my roof due to wind, within an hour of calling Vernco they had the roof tarped. After assisting with the insurance process they were able to quickly fix my roof and left it better than it was before the damage. I highly recommend. Fair priced and exceptional service.

Chaney Smith and his whole team from VernCo did a fantastic job on our roof right from the start. We were surprised to learn that we had roof damage from the August 19, 2022 wind, hail and rain storm that blew through West Des Moines that afternoon.He worked flawlessly with our insurance company and we had our new roof completely installed before the colder weather set in. After a server hailstorm hit our area, we needed a new roof and new vinyl siding on our home and garage. Our insurance company recommended VernCo and we are very happy they did. We got a better grade of roofing and a discount on our insurance premium. The new roof was installed within 3 weeks and the siding was done as soon as it was available. Our project rep. After a bad hail storm, we had three contractors look at our roof. All three were willing to do the work for what the insurance company would pay. (Of course, we had to pay our deductible.) For that price, Chaney Smith and Vernco Roofing were willing to install a better quality shingle (more hail resistant) than the other two contractors. That cuts several hundred dollars off of our annual homeowners' insurance bill! It was an easy decision. Absolutely flawless from start to finish! Vernco worked seamlessly with our insurance company. Chaney Smith (Vernco project mgr) called and explained everything, including what to expect from them and what they needed from us. Crew arrived when promised and completed roofs the same day. Vernco submitted supplement to our insurance company and had it approved prior to sending our final bill to me, ensuring the extra will be covered by insurance. Job well done!! Had a crew show up and start tearing off my roof and then discovered they were at the wrong house. They were getting ready to leave when my roommate walked outside and asked what they were doing. Note: we had no shingles or dumpster in our driveway.They also didn't take the shingles they had torn off from the roof. They were just left out there and the plywood was exposed. When they came back to put plastic over the areas they tore off( we had our roofers move our install up and do the install correctly) the shingles were thrown into our yard and picked up from there, guess what nails were found where the shingles were thrown into the yard.They were going to leave without knocking on the door or leaving note about our roof. Had we not been home we would not know what happened to our roof.I found the number for the local office. They were not aware of the problem, the crew never contacted the local office or project manager.Chaney was the project manager and he was helpful with our problem.
