Our salesman was excellent helped us chose best deal for our home. The installer, Butch, was also excellent came on time, installed and ensured we checked each window and it meet our expectation. One window came in late and he came back and installed it quickly and professionally also. Could not have asked for better service. The overall project was fantastic! I had my front door and storm door replaced. The guy that came to do it was awesome, professional, and most of all friendly! He did the whole project himself and was done in roughly 4 hours! I was impressed! I would hire again!Service: General door installation

All associates were pleasant and knowledgeable and quality of product is excellent. But it took longer than expected to complete the project. one window came in broken and took 3 additional weeks to have installed. Door wasn't ordered until windows were installed and took an additional 10 days to wait for that. Total time from signing contact was about 8 weeks.

Worst company ever. They sent me documents to sign and my husband was the only one on the loan, so sent us back them for him to sign. Well our door was not what we ordered and air was coming threw the bottom also. So we asked them to redo the door right and we would sign once the work was completed. My husband has talked to like 5-10 people to get it handled and no one has ever called us back to make it right. Doc were never signed so thinking about getting a lawyer involved. Especially since nothing has been done to make it right. WORSE REMODELING COMPANY EVER.Services: General door installation, Engineered wood, Window installation, Glass installation

We had started to replace the windows in our house a few years back and used Sears at that time. We liked what we had and wanted to finish up the rest of the house so we called Sears. Easy to work with the salesman because we knew what we wanted. We had difficulty with the online scheduling and progress webpage, but our phone calls wee answered promptly. Contractor was easy to work with, they did a great job, very professional and the work was outstanding. Glad to have all our windows in our old house tight again and we even have windows that we can open now!

The Sales team were very good to work with. The problems encountered were that of scheduling and start date. The construction team were less than communicated with me. After work started additional issues began. We had a very serious person onsite. Problems were his boss kept pulling him off the job to do other work. This happened several times thus throwing my timetable off I needed job completed. The construction manager is very arrogant, rude and lacks customer focus in my opinion. Additionally at the close of the job, short cuts were made to hurry up and finish the job. These were noted after vendor had left. I would not recommend using their services at all in the future.

Installer was very professional, capable, friendly, and quick. Office contacts have been great. Great project from a great group of people.

Windows are great few minor problems but they are coming back to fix them. I would not recommend getting insulation through Sears I could have done a better job and I am extremely unhappy with results guys showed up with no tools and where in a hurry and didn't blow insulation under boards like they said they would.

I used them for a/c and furnace replacement. My central a/c died and I needed a new one. During the (free) estimate, they quoted me to just replace the outside unit or to replace the furnace with it. I went with replacing both as they were about the same age (probably 25+ years old). From estimate to install took about a week since they had to order the new units. Install started at about 9am and they were finished by about 4pm. 10 year warranty on both, and I was able to finance which was great because who has that much money lying around in an emergency situation where your a/c goes out in the middle of August in the Midwest?

The worst customer service ever!!! Once the job is done, no one cares if you're happy or not. Just spent $9000 on replacement windows and found one window was installed over rotten wood, which we were told would be replaced at the time windows were installed: "that is standard procedure to replace any rotten wood the windows would be installed against" we were told. Called to tell them they installed and wrapped the window around rotten wood - even sent pictures - and we can't even get anyone out here to look at it. Lip service, that's all we get. Sure not the same Sears I used to work with years ago. Evidently reputation doesn't matter anymore, just sell and get the money! Couldn't be more disappointed, and mad at myself for choosing to trust in this company for our replacement windows. An expensive lesson. Don't be fooled by the sales reps, who are very easy to work with, and make the same mistake we did!!!

Choosing Sears Home Improvement to install vinyl siding on my soffit and fascia boards was the worst decision I've made in a long time. Back in November 2017, Sears Home Improvement sent a subcontractor to do the work. The finished job was horrible and immediately contacted the subcontractor to fix the work but he never responded. I then contacted Sears a week later and told them to send an inspector to view his work. The inspector agreed with me and I was told that the job had to be redone because it was done so poorly. I talked with a representative at Sears and he told me they would retrain the subcontractor and send him back out to redo the job. I told him I didn't want that man back at my house because I feel he took advantage of me, the rep then told me Sears can't lose money. By this time I'm upset because he disregarded my feelings. When I called back to tell him I was not comfortable with his decision, he quickly told me they will get another subcontractor out to redo the job. This was back in December 2017. Fast forward to January 23, 2018 and no one from Sears has reached out to me for a possible date. Every time I call I'm transferred to different number and no one has apologized for the terrible customer service I've received. I should have shopped around and gone with a local company. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Easy to talk with the salesman. He listened to our wants and needs and didn't try to push us into more. The crew arrived as scheduled, worked diligently to complete the job, were fast and friendly. Best of all, they totally cleaned up when they left! Very happy.

DO NOT FINANCEThe window team was ok, the windows themselves are very nice. We have had NOTHING but issues with the financier!! Won't let us make our payments on time and threatening fees because THEY won't take the money out!So if you're NOT financing, it might be worth it!

DO NOT work with Sears on replacement windows. While the sales person were easy to work with the process after is horrible. They sent installers to my home who did not specialize in windows and arrived to tired to do the job. The district manger, Chris Smart, does not understand the concept of customer service. I would save your money and invest in a more professional company. Stay away from Sears.

From 5/27/2016 - This is the worst treatment by any warranty service company that I have experienced. After purchasing a $6000 Kenmore A/C unit with the extended service warranty, I needed service as the A/C unit was no longer cooling. I scheduled an appointment for service and thought I would be getting what I paid for. But, I apparently missed the invisible ink portion of the warranty contract that stated the warranty was actually worthless. On the day scheduled, there was first a HUGE window of arrival of 6 hours the technician MIGHT arrive. The technician was not able to arrive in that window, so the service was scheduled for the next day, today. Instead of being the first one on the list, we were put at the bottom of the day's schedule with another huge 6 hour window. I did get an email with a link to check up on that window. This took me to a web page which displayed a 2-hour expected arrival time. This expected arrival window kept getting pushed back further and further in the day until it was finally outside the original 6-hour block. Now 2 hours past the big window, and over an hour past the arrival block. I called their service line 3 times during the day for updates. The 2nd and 3rd times they hung up on me. The 4th time I asked for a supervisor. Someone came on the line claiming to be a supervisor. But, they were not able to assist me either. They rescheduled my appointment for a wait of 5 more days. So, a total of 7 days waiting. Apparently, if they can't get to a customer they just put them in some time in the distant future hoping they will go away. I work with customers all day, every day. And if we can't get a customer's work done one day, they are the FIRST one on the schedule for the following day - NOT the last. This is completely unacceptable. I do NOT recommend anyone purchase from Sears due to this. And I will never do so again.======================6/1/2016 - An update on my ongoing struggle with Sears. The service appointment was scheduled for this morning from 8am - 1pm. But, they won't be arriving until 5:45pm - 7:45pm. Apparently there is only one technician available and only one truck that runs. Had to track down and call the local dispatcher to even find that out. We shall see if we actually get anything repaired at all.6/1/2016 - 6:00pm - The repair guy finally arrived. Well....he came...he struggled with his little meter to get it to work...then he said there is a bad part - which he didn't have with him. So, he "said" he'll be back on Monday to install the part. So, another week without A/C.

They took money out of my account without me knowing first. It screwed up three of my accounts for over draft. I keep trying to communicate with them but they don't communicate very well with me. Do not hire anyone through Sears.

Promised a 2 day project with 3 installers. Turned in to a 4 day project with 1 installer, 9 windows and 2 sliding doors. The locking mechanism on the sliding doors have been replaced twice.

I was not at home when Sears tech came to my house to install our new outside heating and cooling system ,the only thing is that they never had my wife check things,so I had to button up the outside of the home so that animals couldn't get under my home I never got any paperwork with the unit .
