The staff at this store are great! They took care of my vehicle in record time.I would have rated 5 stars but finding the local phone number for this store was a PITA. I prefer to talk to a live person when scheduling appointments, not a robot. The number listed for the store on Google feeds into a robocall intercept system and tries to force you to use a website or an app to schedule. Very frustrating.

I had a windshield replaced by safelite in Manhattan in '22. The plastic cover under the rearview mirror has popped off time after time since with the slightest bumps, along with the mirror coming loose and everything being blurry. The manager at that time flat out didn't care. I went back yet again the end of '23 and a new manager was there, I was relieved that she ordered a new cover and I thought the problem was resolved, finally. Well that lasted about a day and back to the old problem and now they act like it isn't their problem. Ordering replacement parts while putting down the initial tech is absolutely accepting responsibility! I have called customer service and left voicemails time after time over 2 years with no answer or callback of any kind. I asked for the District manager multiple times to be told nobody has that info. They make it next to impossible to speak with anyone other than going in a store, so when that goes nowhere that's pretty much it. Perfect design to dodge responsibility. A mirror coming loose, causing it to be useless and pieces falling of while driving are absolutely safety issues. You would think with a name like safelite, they would care about a safety issue. After it is repaired and I can say the problem is resolved, we will be in court!.Edit: Honestly go anywhere else, ANYWHERE. ... Your safety is the last care in the world to them. Just go elsewhere, without insurance you may pay a few more dollars, honestly, it is worth every extra penny. the piece of mind in having things that hang above you stay there and not fall at every bump. Save yourself the headaches and years of incompetency and go elsewhere. Also, their answer to a cover not staying, replace windshield!!! Again, dealership says it's cover and the bracket SAFELITE destroyed trying to make this stick. A windshield replacement is only a way to cause more damage and problems. She claims the pre photo shows my same damage, when MY walkaround photos prior to going to safelite that day, DO NOT show any issues with the cover. The new manager and a tech both have put this old employee down who did my work, saying how a lot of his work has come back and that is why he is gone, that with them ordering a replacement is pretty indicative of accepting responsibility, that doesnt fit their fairytale narative. They banned me from having work done because I'm finally standing up for myself and I will not allow anything unnecessary to be done! It doesn't take a new windshield to keep a cover. The District manager, Sara Jenkins not once even asked me to come in to see what could be going on. They refuse to let me speak to the regional manager... I wonder why.A local small business, offered and fixed the issue without a new windshield, in barely 10 minutes and 37.09 worth of plastic at his cost with no labor in 2 days!! He felt it was absurd how hard they are fighting me for 2 years and close to twenty trips, only to have them tell me its been 2 years and all they can do is replace a windshield, a much higher cost and 0 possibility of fixing the problem. They do not want to know of anything they are doing wrong and would rather find a reason to blame the customer to fit their narrative. If anyone reads this far, go to RC Auto Body! Local small business, excellent work and superb customer service with all work guaranteed! If you have a issue you can speak to a human who cares about you as a customer! Again, this small business went out of their way to fix such a simple but almost tragic problem... Did I mention when I walked in after the near collision to Safelite, the store manager jumped up and left so fast, like hear no evil see no evil. Also not one person from safelite asked how anybody was or at that to see the dashcam, you hear the cover pop off, bounce off the dash and under the pedal. In frame is my speed and a near tbone collision. I offered proof of everything but no care.. If that isn't the opposite of safe...

I was quoted $900 to have my windshield replaced at the dealership, and Safelite did it for $400 less! I don’t even have an EyeSight system to calibrate so I’m not sure where Subaru got that figure, but I’m SO thankful for Safelite saving me some major money. My car was in and out in less than an hour, everyone was super friendly, and they were even able to salvage my state parks sticker and K-Tag so I didn’t have to go to the trouble of replacing those. Hopefully I never have to replace my windshield again, but if I do I’ll definitely return to Safelite!

Not sure why I even have expectations of professionalism these days. Safelite Manhattan was supposed to replace the rear window in my daughters car. Her back window was damaged and needed to be replaced. Filed the insurance claim, my daughter went and had the work done. Didn't think anything more of it until I drove the car home last night. The glare from the 3rd brake light was horrendous. Taping my brakes completely washed out any visibility through the back window. Got it home and inspected the 3rd brake light only to find it wasn't installed, it was just hanging on the window clips. Then I cut my hand on the glass left in the backseat and rear window shelf. Apparently Safelite didn't even do a passing vacuum job to clean up the broken glass. Installing a 3rd brake light isn't an easy proposition, but I figured out how it was supposed to be fitted and did the job myself. Cleaned up the broken glass myself, then cleaned my blood off the rear window, at which point I found that there was glue residue from the tape they used all around the window on the exterior. Had to use WD-40 to scrub it off. Absolute amateur hour.

I mis scheduled my appointment and showed up 2 days early on accident. Paula the receptionist and the glass technicians were able to get me in and replaced the windshield and I wasn’t even waiting for 1 hour! Super friendly people and awesome service. Prime example of top notch service!

I took my van for them to fix a few rock cracks, less than a quarter in size. My insurance USAA paid for it. I’m giving 3 stars because I can still super see one of the cracks and because the day before I went there to ask for prices a guy told me it was 130 for the first crack and 20 for the second and 10 for the third one. Next day after the repair When I got the receipt it said that My insurance paid in total $65. How that works? No idea.

Have been there 4 times with 4 different vehicles and each time they were very friendly and professional. Dropped my truck off several hours early yesterday and they got it right in and repaired the crack for less than the estimate!

They did a good job but watch out, you got to check if they put the original trim clips in. My trim was real lose, inspected and found out not original clips. I would of spent more money on gas just to have them replace so check before you leave.

I was an avid safelite customer for a very long time, but after today I will never buy a windshield from safelite again. I drive an older Chevy truck.(buy choice) I try to get a quote several days ago on line. Plugged in all my info vehicle extra. Got a massage saying someone would contact me. I never got a call.Fast forward to today. I called in to talk to someone about getting a windshield put in my truck.The Ai answered the phone with limited options for communication. It directed me to the website, and offered to send me a link in text. There was no option to speak with a live person. It only wanted to send me to the website so I could text with the chat bot.In my opinion if they don’t have anyone to answer the phone, or willing to take the time to do so that way a person can actually look up the part, and sell me a windshield, then I am done with safelite.I called another company local to where I live. A live person answer the phone. I got my quote in minutes, and an appointment scheduled for in the morning. Yes I am paying more for it, but it’s worth it for actual customer service. Not a bot.

Had any appt at 1 pm. It was easy to get scheduled online. Safelite took care of everything. I just gave them my ins information and member number. Got email a claim had been filed for my windshield. Everything was taken care of and they had the exact amt I was going to pay before I even showed up. They texted me reminders about my appt as well as throughout the process. I opted to go into the store. I showed up a little early for my appt and was able to get right in. I was told it would take about an hour and it took a little short of that. Super clean, professional environment. They also had the correct windshield and it was a perfect fit! Coming from working in the body shop industry, this was impressive to me. Windshield was clean and looked great! Will definitely be bringing my 4 Runner in next!

Kavan the mobile tech does amazing work. He communicated his timing, was very professional and completed and entire windshield replacement in less than 45 minutes! Unfortunately I have had to use this service multiple times and every time Safelite, in Manhattan mobile service knocks it out of the park with professionalism and quality.

EDIT: They did a good job for the repair, local place is ok but dealing with customer service was a pain...Could never get in touch with a live person, stupid automated system is junk and would not let me talk to a person... and kept hanging up... Had to drive in will update review once service is done

My windshield was damaged by vandalisim and they replaced it. Have to schedule for 3 hours, finished in 1 hr 40mins. Called and left a message that one of my windshield wipers was broken wondering if I wanted it replaced. Found they replaced both and charged me 65 dollars! They better be good long lasting wipers. Replacement took all of my 500 dollar deductible too. Had to calibrate my camera. Seems like they did good work on that but thought it was pricey.Service: Auto windshield replacement

They made an appointment and kept it. Put my new windshield in and hung the rear view mirror and did an amazing job ! The prices are fair and they do amazing work I would highly recommend Safelite Auto Glass to anybody and everybody !!

I would give 0 stars if I could! Poor customer service and communication. Don't call you back when they say they will (even from the manager). Took 3 visits and it's still NOT fixed correctly! I couldn't be anymore frustrated then I am now! Not to mention the marks that they made on the inside of the car while changing the windshield out twice. My husband takes such amazing care of his car and keeps track of everything that is done to it and everything has been great on it until now! We have used Safelite several times in other locations and always had great experiences but not this time with the Manhattan, Ks location. Not sure if we will use Safelite again in the future. Maybe if it's a different location. We will see.

The service was great. The gentleman that came kept me updated on what time he thought he might be there so it was easier to plan my day. They did come to my job site which was nice but I had to pay a 34.99 mobile fee. I've used Safelite before and they didn't use to charge the mobile fee to come out as that was part of the marketing scheme and gave them the advantage over others. I did have a piece that wasn't flush against the side and they happily came back out the next day to fix it. The gentleman was nice, professional and knowledgeable.

Safelite... what do I think about Safelite... personally I think they suck. I tried for over 40 minutes to reach a live agent, the system kept hanging up on me. Kept directing me to do things online. I wasn't home, didn't have my computer. Customer service to me is negative 5. Gave them 1 start because I couldn't post negative stars

I saved $35.00 by bringing my vehicle to their shop in Manhattan. I had an 0800 appointment, I didn't want to hang out there for the wait so I walked across the yard to IHOP to meet some folks for breakfast. Before you know I got a text "all done", WOW, only took about 45 minutes to install, took me longer to order and eat! The new windshield looks great, no leaks, we're very pleased. They even had some K-tag replacement stickers from the State, just need to go online to transfer the number to the new one. Overall I had a super experience and will recommend Safelite to everyone!

One thing my husband and I learned is to take your own pictures before going in and handing your keys off.My husband went in to get a chip filled. Everything was fine up until pick up. There were two more chips that had not been there before it went in.He spoke with the guy at the front desk about it and was spoken to very unprofessionally. Basically calling my husband a liar and putting words in his mouth.He told my husband that the only way those chips happen is rocks hitting the windshield and its not like his techs are in the back throwing rocks at it…why ever you would speak to a customer like this I’m not sure.I’m a manager of a corporate company in the area and I would be appalled if any of my employee ever spoke to a customer like this.My husband tried to schedule a new repair through the Salina location due to the manner of the Manhattan office being a joke. Just to of been scheduled. Never received a confirmation email. Went to check on his appointment just to find out is that cancelled without any communication to him. Turns out they had originally scheduled him for a day the shop was closed! Customer service was of no help either since they are Monday through Friday.But we will not be going back. The way customer care was at the Manhattan location, and then trying again for Salina just rubbed us wrong. Not that that was the shops fault. But we just will not recommend this company to anyone nor try again to use it in the future.Service: Auto windshield repair
