Amended review* 10/5/22Upon seeing this negative review the company reached out to me to try to correct their mistake. After a heated phone call where the sales person told me he was sorry I "felt" lied to they agreed to try and make things right. We reached a compromise that if they wrote off the outstanding charge that wasn't covered I would amend said review or they could bill me for the overage and the review stands. I received an email that stated I owe 0$ so I am amending said review. However since they only reached out after receiving negative press you can take that how you want. The roof is beautiful, good quality, and was done quickly.* Original Review* This company will overcharge you and then take no accountability and blame you for their lies and mistakes. Beware, my family had storm damage that pulled several shingles loose and our roof was in rough shape. I went with Honest Abe after reading several reviews and "thinking" they were a decent company, nay nay . Bottom line, the roof was done well but we were overcharged by about 5-6 grand after talking with local contractors. Honest Abe's sales men are pushy and lie directly to your face. They didn't want us to get multiple estimates for the job, when our insurance company offered a measley 5k and the bottom line said 8k we inquired to Honest Abe about the price difference and they assured us "We do this all the time, we will get insurance to pay the difference, we will submit stipulations saying it cost more and they need to pay blah...blah.." I asked them twice directly what about the difference and will we owe extra, they assured my husband and I we would not. This was a lie. We ended up financing our roof which was a high end polymer shingle with a decent warranty for 9k. On top of that they encouraged us to file a home owners claim which we did but of course our insurance rates will go up next year because of this. So now the roof is on our house and it looks great, has a warranty, ok fine. But we wayyyyyyy over paid and had to redo all the financing once my homeowners insurance refused to make up the difference and because we had a "depreciation" clause in our policy. I take blame in not fully understanding how homeowners claims work, and trusting a sales person who told me "not to worry". I'm giving 1 star based solely on ethics and morals. They crew that did the roof was efficient and the roof is nice. But we were lied to, BS'd, and in the end we either had to pay or get turned into collections based on a lie their sales guy and other representatives told us. This company only cares about getting you to sign the papers and I then once you're locked in they will say "Sorry bout it, better luck next time." Get multiple quotes and if the sales guy is pushy walk away. I will never do business with Honest Abe Again, they left a bad taste in my mouth.Services: Roof repair for storm & wind damage, Roof installation

The sales representative Ron, was very friendly, punctual, and helpful. He was able to identify my needs and find a solution within an hour. When the installers arrived they were professional and courteous. They were able to do my installation with no issues and it only took about an hour and a half, and I have a three story house. I recommend Ron K. Great guy and knows what he is doing.Service: Gutter installation

Ron has been the greatest help with my home. He is the only representative that actually measured the roof. One company came out and would not give me a bid. Another company said they looked at my roof from Google Earth.Ron is the only one that has really been concerned about the outcome. He has gone way beyond any other roofing company.

The initial consultation was awesome, The Tech was informative, knowledgeable,and professional. 2 business days later a Crew was at my home @ 8:20AM to start work. By 3:00pm my beautiful new roof was completed.. I am very happy

I wasn't going to answer my phone something told to answer. I'm glad I did. I've been lied to by many roofers. Something told me to let them come out. They replaced front porch repaired roof of main house where I've had leaks for over a yr. No company could find and fix. Except Honest Abe they did everything they said they would do above and beyond 1st time in a long time no leaks. The price was so affordable they did everything possible to make me happy. Nick was very responsive to my questions about the work needing to be done and he even gave me a T-shirt because I loved the name of their business. Honesty is definitely a virtue I value and Nick went above and beyond to repair parts of my roof, flashing, and even cleared out the gutters. After having a nightmare experience with a different company, Honest Abe was a breath of fresh air. We contracted with them to tear off an old addition roof that was in rough shape and leaked pretty regularly. Honest Abe tore it off, re-pitched it, and installed 2 skylights as well as a sun tunnel. After some heavy rains, we are completely dry!We worked directly with Boudjemaa. He was very communicative, always on-time (usually even early) and constantly checked in with us throughout the project to make sure we had no concerns!To hopefully paint a better picture, we had a pending snow storm that popped up on us and was going to roll in over night. Boudjemaa and his crew stayed late into the evening to make sure our roof was buttoned up and ready for the storm.Upon job completion, they went over their work with us and addressed all our questions and fulfilled some small requests. Overall, I'd highly recommend this company! If you get Boudjemaa, you're in great hands!Services: Skylight installation, Roof installation
