Heartland Home Improvements is in the final stages of an extensive remodeling project at our home. We raised a ceiling, expanded rooms by moving walls, replaced all flooring with either wood laminate (basement) or solid wood (main level), replaced all windows and doors and tiled all bathrooms throughout the house. As you can see, this is a major undertaking that is essentially renovating the entire house.We went through the detailed planning process with Mike and his team and utilized Nathan (designer) to help us design several aspects of the kitchen and great room. It has been approximately a year since we first began the design, determined costs and wrote the contract. In these days of supply chain issues, inflation, labor shortages and the normal hurdles that one will face with a project of this scope, The Heartland team has always been responsive, honest and fair when addressing any and all concerns or questions. The customer service and immediate response throughout our remodel journey by Mike, Nathan, Josh, Cheri, Matt, Blake and Jimmy has been excellent at every level. Even when you know the team has a lot on their plate, they make you feel like your concern is the most important thing they are dealing with at the time. This is an admirable trait in a time of deteriorating service levels and failure to take care of the customer.We have every expectation as our long project soon comes to completion, that we will be thrilled for years to come as we appreciate, and live in, our newly renovated forever home. Both TJ (the interior worker) and Curtis (the outside guy) did very nice jobs and promptly got things underway and done. I had to have them come back on the porch (not their fault) and they did so promptly and without complaint. I also found these folks to be totally honest and I have no qualms wanting them to do more work for me.I did not bother with getting multiple bids for these jobs, but I think pricing is reasonable as was job-site time. There was no wasted time and everybody was very pleasant to get along with. Very nice to work with a contractor like this!

I needed a driveway and deck accomplished for the sale of a home. The work was very well done at a reasonable price, and the employees are knowledgeable and friendly. I would recommend Heartland to others for remodeling and home repair, as once they begin work they stay at it till you are satisfied. There is one caveat to be aware of, and that is schedule. Be prepared for a wait as they likely have jobs scheduled ahead that they are committed to first.

We had Heartland design and construct a front porch addition, hang new siding and new windows. The cost was more than we expected at first, but they worked with us to see where we could "compromise" and ended up with a budget we both agreed upon. At the end of the project, the cost was exactly what they said it would be. I have worked with many contractors where you get the bill a month after the project is finished, and it's 150/200% higher than the number you thought.Other than financials, the craftsmanship was excellent. I'm very happy with the work and the quality.Last, they have an in-house drafter/designer (Nathan) that will show you what your project will look like (to-scale) at no cost to you. Nathan was the starting point and we loved working with him. I had interviewed architects/designers before calling Heartland and they wanted $3,000-$5,000 just for a drawing. Heartland has the designer and computer software in-house to allow clients to see the finished product.

Professional demeanor by all teammates. Work was done quickly and expertly. I don't remember our window installers names but they were very good. Josh came to fix up the plaster and had no hesitation about his job and the work looks excellent.We realized in July that the window needed replaced. We called 3 other companies before yours was recommended to us. One company never showed up to do the estimate, the other two came to measure for estimates but never followed through. We are very pleased with your company and will highly recommend you.

Josh is very friendly, professional, & knowledgeable. Especially appreciate his ongoing work to fix the problem with moisture accumulated under our house. We felt he went above & beyond our expectations throughout the project. Taylor also was professional, knowledgeable & helpful. Heartland Home Improvement did a whole house remodel for me - remodeled three bathrooms, kitchen, new LVP flooring throughout, new vinyl windows and more. Nathan, Doug, Josh, Cheri were the absolute best! And really, everybody was very nice and helpful and often went above and beyond to help. Overall, the house turned out great. I felt like I received good advice when I asked, and even when I didn't ask. I had Heartland Home Improvement take out a 2 sided fireplace, put new flooring in the front room, dining area, and kitchen. They put new counter tops and back splash. Had to do the ceiling. They did an outstanding job. It was finished in a timely manner. I would recommend them.

Heartland is connected with great subcontractors that support them in at least two trades that we needed: Heating and Air, (for a new garage heater with sealed combustion chamber) plus Wrought Iron Railings. We also like the way the Heartland carpenter installed our new pull-down attic stairs, and the way they found a fabrication shop to produce the new corbels the carpenter installed to protect our faux beam ends beneath two of our gables on the front of our home. We are happy customers here!

Heartland recently completed an extensive project for us which included: remodel of master suite, remodel of two other bathrooms and laundry room, addition of a bathroom in the basement, installation of wood, tile, and LVT flooring throughout our entire main level, and repair of several instances of water damage.Heartland’s planning process took time, and we saw that as an asset. All decisions were made and details worked out before the contract was signed. As a result, the actual remodeling process was low-stress. Because of the thorough advance planning we had virtually no surprises.The results exceeded our expectations. We came away from this experience with the utmost respect for the folks at Heartland and for the way they do business. We found Mike Gatschet to be candid, fair, honest, and careful. His staff’s interactions with us reflected these qualities. Mike and his staff were very professional while addressing some structural issues at our home. Curtis, our carpenter, was great at explaining what was going on, what to expect, and made us feel safe and comfortable with him in our home, even when we weren't. Heartland was very careful to listen and address my specific requirements. Not only were they very careful to assign probably one of the best lead carpenters (Sven) who was very careful not only to fulfil my requirements, but he fixed my bathroom if it were his bathroom. He found several original errors that were left from day one (poor insulation, plumbing) and previous owner repairs (shoddy woodwork under the stool). He took the time to methodically clean all plumbing so when the new shower/sink fixtures were installed, everything worked tip top. Jack and I walk into our bathroom with much joy and satisfaction. Even my little beagle was ready to go home with Sven. Excellent work. Complete satisfaction. Enough said!

Mike gatchet gets amnesia when it's time to pay his subs. Save yourself some serious money and use a contractor who actually does the work .otherwise your paying at least double .It takes longer to get paid by them than it takes to do the job! Many of there clients call me wanting us to finish job,but my hands are tied because they signed contract that is all about them. Once they sign up they don't care anymore.
