I was super pleased with Steve’s work in our attic! I had already taken out the old blown in insulation and was planning to add new fiberglass myself but decided to get some quotes. Steve quoted spray foam and fiberglass without pressuring me either way. His fiberglass quote was about the same as if I did the work myself, but I decided to go with spray foam in the end. Steve was great at explaining the benefits of spray foam and his quote was nearly 25% less than his competitors! His shop was one of those hit by a tornado in Jessamine Co April 2024, but it didn’t slow him down from getting to the job. Steve ended out doing the work himself, which was awesome, but you can tell he stands by the quality of his employees and ensures they’ll do as good a job as him. In addition to the attic, I had an unfinished basement wall I had been meaning to reinsulate. He quoted and tacked on that job the same day he did the attic even though he had to switch to using closed cell. Overall I was super pleased with the quality of the work.

Steve and Thermal Guard are simply the best. You won’t find anyone more professional, honest or hard working with an end product that beats all expectations. I am retired and bought a single level flip a couple of years ago, only to find out that the builder’s insulation in the attic was completely inadequate. It was only a few inches thick and covered all the duct work from my furnace, leaving it without any protection from temperature extremes. Steve inspected the attic, provided a very reasonable estimate, scheduled my work as quickly as possible and stayed at my house, finishing the two-day job of vacuuming out the old insulation and spraying in new foam in one day. He even figured out how to run his hoses without leaving my door open in 30 degree weather. My comfort was always his primary concern. I can’t say enough good things about my experience. I highly recommend Thermal Guard.

Money well spent! We had a front room that was always colder than the rest of our house. Steve came to inspect and sure enough we were lacking insulation. We did foam spray above that room and touch ups throughout the other areas that were too low. So glad that after two years of having to run a little space heater in that room, it is no longer needed. It makes our heating seem much more efficient because now we’re well insulated. So glad we did this. Highly recommend this team to get the job done.

Steve did an amazing job with our crawl space. Humidity levels were high and condensation was collecting on our HVAC system. Full encapsulation of the crawl space corrected the problem. Humidity and temperature levels now stay in a constant range. Steve followed up on the project multiple times to make sure the solution was long term. Thermal Guard Insulation is amazing! Steve was extremely prompt at coming to my house to take a look at my attic where I thought I needed more insulation. He got back to me quickly with a quote and the job they did exceeded my expectations. They even removed the old debris prior to installation! Now all the rooms in my house are the same temperature. They are extremely honest and reasonable in price, but this will definitely pay for itself in energy savings. I can’t recommend Thermal Guard enough!

Steve was great in helping us to get the best efficiency for our needs. He explained exactly what he would do to help us obtain our goal. He gave us an honest price. They sealed off all access doors to keep the smell from coming upstairs while doing the process and covered up anything that couldn’t be moved. Steve is someone you can trust. He wanted to get the job right. Through no fault of his own there had been some issues with the material used to line our crawlspace, something that is controversial in the industry. I only mention this because most contractors would have denied the issue or washed their hands of it. But Steve stuck with us as we troubleshooted the situation and took full responsibility to fix the issue when we found out the culprit, at great effort and expense to himself. That is the sort of integrity you want out of someone working on big projects on your home. Additionally, I found him to be available, willing to talk through projects at length, and generally much more affordable than his corporate competitors. It's difficult to find quality and affordable work with the dreaded crawlspace, and he really helped us. He also did a great job spray foaming our attic space.... I recommend highly!

I had Steve and his company come to my house after my roof leaked and I had extensive damage in my garage and the bedrooms above my garage. The batt insulation had fallen due to the water and my son’s bedroom was constantly 20 degrees below the rest of the house. It was unbearable for him to be in there. I called Steve after googling insulation contractors and he came over the next day for an estimate. While there he noticed other insulation that wasn’t up to code and asked to see in my attic. He then told me I didn’t have enough blow in insulation up there and pointed out areas where I was losing heat and air conditioning when the units were running. In addition to the spray foam insulation I had installed in my garage ceiling/upstairs bedroom floors, Steve quoted me to fix the insulation levels in my attic and I asked him to quote to encapsulate and insulate the crawl space. I had Steve and his company perform all the above mentioned services and he fit me in the schedule immediately because I was concerned about the upcoming cold months. Steve finished all the work in one day.My home is approximately 30 years old and we’ve owned it for one year. It was relatively drafty and the wood floors were always cold to the touch in the winter. I expected it to always be that way. At night my whole family would go from being too hot when the heat was running to too cold when it shut off. After Steve completed the work, my house feels brand new and air tight. No more drafts from the lower level floor and my son’s bedroom and other room above the garage always feel like the rest of the house. Everyone is comfortable at night and we no longer experience the drastic temperature changes. My heater runs half the time is used to. It’s honestly unbelievable to me and my wife the difference this has made.I did attempt to have another contractor install blow in insulation in the garage when we purchased the house but that had no impact. The spray foam above the garage was the best choice for my situation and I wish I would’ve done it sooner. I will be having Steve back when we complete future construction projects on this house or any other place I might find myself living.

Before we had our upstairs sprayed, we interviewed several companies for the job. Steve was by far the most thorough in his explanation on how he would do the job. His quote was very reasonable (lowest at the time he gave me the quote), and was actually the catalyst for driving the price down of future quotes. I had a good feeling about Steve when he came to my home. He clearly knew his industry, and even took time to educate me on the science and reasoning behind his plan for my home. Despite my initial positive intuition about Steve, I accepted a slightly cheaper quote from another company. When I talked to Steve to let him know, while disappointed, he told me I could call him if I had any further questions.After my spray foam was installed, my wife noticed condensation and a drip coming from one of the vents in our bedroom. In a slight panic, I called Steve that night to ask him a few questions, and to my surprise he volunteered to come to my home on a WEEKEND morning to assess the drip FREE OF CHARGE. He arrived promptly and assessed the drip as promised.I can say that the spray foam installation at my home was undoubtedly a challenging job, and the company that did the job is doing an excellent job of addressing the issues that I have encountered since the spray foam was installed. That said, I can not help but wonder, if I had accepted Steve's quote would I be dealing with the same problems. Even if the answer is yes, I can say with certainty that he would do whatever needed to be done to address it and make it right given his follow through on a promise to a potential customer that accepted another company's quote. In a time when attention to detail and customer service seem to be lacking, Steve bucks the trend. He will take great care of your home should you decide to accept his services. In retrospect, I wish I had.
