We reached out to Fountain Restoration based on their on-line reviews, not knowing anything about them. What a wonderful experience it was for us to meet Troy and Sandy! Amazing people! Fanastic work! They installed a beautiful new gas log insert inside our home and did an amazing job outside with our chimney, brick work, rebuilding our chimney crown and adding a beautiful new rain guard. They take pictures of before, during and after their work and explain each step of the process, which was so helpful to me as I had little knowledge base of how my chimney was supposed to be operating. They provide detail estimates of their work. They are timely and take special care to clean up after themselves. They were so patient with all my questions, it felt like I was talking to old friends! They are sincere, authentic people providing quality work and craftsmanship. We 100% recommend their services to anyone in need of home restoration care. We will definitely be calling upon them for any future projects!

We engaged Troy and Sandy Astin of Fountain Avenue Restoration to repair and tuck point natural stone walls, walkways, and a towering chimney. They are so busy that it took quite some time to get to us, but we were told that in advance and we were in no particular hurry. They are both high tech and old school in their techniques and work habits. For example, Troy sent a drone to examine our chimney and took photos of the work that needed to be done. They then incorporated these photos, along with others, into a detailed estimate of the repairs that needed to be performed.When they say they will come, they are always on time. They insist on a quality result. When the job is done it will be right. For instance, there was some tuck pointing that needed to be done on the interior rock chimney. They matched the old mortar perfectly and you literally cannot tell that any repair was made. Troy takes photos of the work as it progresses and uses those photos to explain the basis for his charges. This is very helpful to the client. They are flexible and adaptive. They will work with the client to try and hold the costs down. In our instance a copper chimney cap proved to be too expensive and Troy came up instead with a lead cap that worked just as well if not better. They are not inexpensive, but they are good.

We live in a 1938 historic home. These guys helped us come up with a solution that avoided having to go into a full blown half bath remodel. It saved an incredible amount of mess and effort and the work they did was very professional and precise. Fountain Home R&R were meticulously clean and the work involved removing an very small toilet and modifying the plumbing to install a corner toilet. This involved removing the footprint of old toilet off the tile floor and modifying the waste pipe. When they completed the job there was no mess or clean up needed and the bathroom looks brand new. I finally found someone who knows how to fix my leaking chimney. I had them do point work around the perimeter of the house, were they did an excellent, and clean job. I initially called Fountain Home Restoration and Repair, to investigate rain water leaking down my furnace flue vent pipe. They responded to my call and had a meeting scheduled within a day. Ended up my chimney only had a piece of sheet metal covering an inoperable fireplace. They quoted me for a complete chimney crown and flue replacement. Which by the way turned out way beyond my expectations. I then asked if they could make the fireplace usable again. They suggested that a direct vent gas fireplace would be a good option. Troy and Sandy used their valuable personal time, to do in depth research in finding choices for a proper fit for our fireplace, and for all the products that they would be using on our project. Troy and Sandy always responded to any questions or concerns that we had in a timely manner, and always took the time to fully explain the full process and all aspects of our project. I needed help with an issue I have been having with my house foundation.
