Dealing with MLR Builders was a pleasure start to finish. First starting with Morgan who walked us through the process and assisted us as we had an extremely difficult and rude insurance adjuster. Our house had a broken pipe and it ruined flooring in 4 rooms and a hallway. Morgan calmed me as this insurance adjuster had me in tears, even our insurance agent couldn’t help. The adjuster didn’t want to pay to have our belongings stored properly. Then came Chad our project manager who was polite, kind, thoughtful and professional. All the workmen were very respectful. I rated this company a 5 because this was how customers should be treated. I highly recommend MLR Builders

This company was recommended by our insurance adjuster, but coincidentally I also found them by doing my own Google search and their positive reviews caught my eye. My mother's home was destroyed by a fire. Having your home destroyed is obviously a very challenging and stressful experience for many to endure. Hurricane Ida left in her wake much more than just the outwardly visible physical damage to our home. Aside from the stress of watching the interior of our home succumb to rainwater from a heavily damaged roof, we were left with the daunting question of, “Where will we start?”In the weeks and months following the storm, we were overcome with knocks at the door, cards left in the mailbox, and numerous ‘Next Door’ nightmare stories. Additionally, we had received that ‘initial insurance check’ following our provider’s onsite inspection, which we knew was nowhere equal to the damage sustained.As we prioritized our needs, we identified key performance indicators that anyone we partnered with should meet. Of greatest importance was partnering with a team knowledgeable of the insurance process who would be willing to work as a strong advocate in conversations with our provider. While some of the other indicators were intangibles (honesty, work ethic, follow-up, etc.,), we found through discussions with potential contractors that their answers, or lack thereof, regarding these items, helped in defining our options.Working through the process of remediation with ServPro, we were introduced to MLR Builders, LLC as a prospect for the rebuild. I think what stood out initially was their no-pressure approach and openness to multiple walkthroughs as the remediation worked its course. During these interactions we learned quickly there was a very layered team covering every aspect of the rebuild process: sales, pre-construction, and project management. As we shared with their team the specifics of our claim, they identified and explained areas where we knew work was warranted, but not compensated, and how to broach this discussion with our provider. Moreso, they were willing to be that voice for us. In the end, it was the assurances of those qualities we deemed most important that led to our decision to partner with MLR Builders LLC.Working with the team of Lloyd, Leah, Morgan, Brice, Scott, and their crew was an exceptional experience. When responses from our provider’s desk adjuster stalled, a personal visit was made to our agent’s office on our behalf to escalate matters. There were multiple pre-construction walkthroughs ensuring they understood what we had laid out as a vision. And although this was an insurance driven project, there were areas of our home we also wanted to update. MLR did an excellent job in separating those ‘out-of-scope’ items so not to conflict with what was being submitted to insurance. In the end, we received the thoroughness, knowledge, and open communication we wanted in a contractor.As for the project itself, we were provided a manageable timeline that was met. Since returning home, we have been nothing less than amazed at how they were able to build out our vision. The quality of the materials, know-how of their team, and diligence to working our project was outstanding. We highly recommend MLR Builders, LLC for any home renovation, rebuild, or remodel project. The entire team at Serv Pro was very professional. Everyone went above and beyond in helping me with my kitchen rebuild. My contractor was very helpful in assisting me and answering any questions I had during the entire process. He started off his day at my house making sure that everything was in order for the work that was going to be being done that day and always stopped in at the end of the day to make sure that everything had gone well. He also checked in by either phone or text to keep me informed of any changes throughout the day that might have to occur. If you are like me, you cringe when you realize it's time for a renovation. I know things won't go as expected, we will find things we didn’t anticipate, and the costs will keep going up. MLR Builders was great to work with on our renovation project. Yes – we got many of the unhappy surprises I mentioned above but MLR Builders was very helpful in addressing the unknowns and without blowing the budget with ridiculous change orders. After over a year of trying to get a "local" or eventually "any" contractor to fix my Hurricane Ida repairs, being told they were "booked for months and not taking new jobs" or, "your job is too small for us to take at this time". MLR Builders came to my house fast, assessed my damages, reviewed my insurance claim, and promised me the job would be done. MLR Builders worked with my insurance company and nearly doubled the amount they agreed to pay for the repairs. Project Manager Chad Fabregas went above and beyond to make sure all repairs were done correctly, historically accurate for my 130 year old home, and up to my personal expectations. He was always available to me if needed and solved all the issues that surfaced during the repair quickly and efficiently. I couldn't be happier with the final results. My house looks better now than it has in many years. Servpro/MLR was fantastic to work with for our commercial building remediation and restoration work. We needed extensive work from a roof that had blown off in Hurricane Ida. They started working with us with the emergency water remediation. Once that was complete, we were pleased and had them perform an extensive renovation that included knocking down walls, a full kitchen remodel, bathroom remodel, flooring throughout our upper floor, new electric and plumbing fixture replacement. They hit timelines set out at the beginning of the project and kept the cost as estimated. They also identified a long term plumbing issue that we hadn’t noticed just in time. One thing about being a first time home buyer is the concept of preparing for unknowns that you hope never happen.And sure enough my water heater burst not even 3 months into moving in damaging one of my bedrooms and two other rooms.With homeowners insurance the insurance company recommended MLR to mitigate my situation.....And from start to finish not only were they on point, they were accommodating from financial estimates to letting me know who was going to be there, doing the job, leaving my home looking better than before the situation and just outright amazing.The only bad side, and no this is not a knock on them, is that I had to use them in a dire situation instead of meeting them and seeing the work they do and how they went above and beyond what I needed. I used Servpro for both remediation and reconstruction after a pipe leak destroyed my floors and drywall through a good portion of my home.
