Practically every time I patronize this business I find what I'm looking for, or the employees assist me with my needs. They are friendly and helpful as well. The convenience of their location is a plus too. Depending upon my needs, I can be there and back in 15 minutes. I would recommend this location to anyone.

Came in for vinyl pool patch repair kit. Lady pointed me to the right direction and a gentleman checked me put fairly fast no line at all. Very friendly atmosphere and great customer service

The guys that load the wood and pipes has no sense of urgency. They talk too much and have a buddy system meaning if they know the person they will take that person first. They don't go by the first person in line. I would not recommend this place.

I needed to purchase some cinder blocks and half pads for a shed I purchased. I compared Kentwood Hardware to Gabriel's in Amite and was surprised how close both were on price. One place had the cinder blocks cheaper while the other had the half pad blocks cheaper. On a purchase of 48 cinder blocks and 24 half pads I would have only saved about $4.00 going to Gabriel's. Kentwood is less than half the distance for us than a trip to Amite. They also load your vehicle for you. While there I looked at their prices on other items as well. For example I had to buy some old style Square D breakers a little while back and paid 22.00 each for them at a different local hardware store. Single throw 2 pole 50 amp at local hardware AND Home Depot was over 20.00, at Kentwood Hardware the same breaker was 16.00. I definitely didn't think they would have been cheaper than Home Depot but they were. My dad says the prices on lumber are pretty good too. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience at this hardware store that has a lot more to offer than you would think.
