He was honest, detailed with the pricing, explained the damage to the roof once he inspected it, and very patient with me answering ALL of my questions. Price was extremely reasonable. I put my deposit on a Friday afternoon and the roof was complete the following Thursday. Beautiful work and the crew did a great job, bonus was no mess afterwards! During a very stressful time like being affected by a hurricane, one of the first things you need to do is put a new roof on to prevent further damage. When you have a staff like Vermilion to support you and ease your mind, it goes a long way in helping with your recovery. Ryan and his crew went above and beyond to communicate with us, be honest and give us the best product at the most reasonable price out there. His crew put their head down and went to work the minute they arrived and they did not leave until the job was done. They left our yard looking better than how they found it. After hurricane season last year we discovered that our roof was leaking into our son's wall, causing all the drywall and plywood to become damaged. Jeremiah and crew came and assessed everything, and tarped it up. It took about a month for them to come back and work on it, but we understand as there's a ton of roofing jobs going on right now. They came and did an awesome job, they had to replace my sons entire wall and replaced all the missing shingles and repaired the roof. Took them 3 days. Unfortunately our insurance could not cover it, but the price out of pocket was very reasonable. They were friendly, professional, and informative on the job they had done. Vermilion Roofing and Construction did an excellent job of replacing my roof, which was totaled due to Hurricane Delta. They also did an excellent job of replacing my gutters. The only negative was their failure to inform me which day the roofers would work and which day the gutter installers would work. Fortunately I was at home when both sets of workers arrived. I definitely recommend this company highly for roofing and gutter work. Working with this business has been a complete nightmare!!! Out of all of the contractors we have worked with during our renovations this has been by far the most unprofessional contractors that we’ve dealt with. We paid the deposit and signed the contract on April 19 and was told that the materials would take about 2-3 weeks to come in, which we had no issues with because we understood the high demand. After week 5 we hadn’t heard anything back from them regarding scheduling the job. When we called the front office we were given the run around and was finally told that someone needed to come out and take measurements of our roof. This should have already been done if the materials were “ordered”. More time goes by and we still hadn’t heard from them on when they would be coming out to start the job. Finally after reaching out again and being transferred from person to person, a date was set. Then we got notified that it was pushed back due to the weather. Even with all of the frustration we understood that the weather was uncontrollable. The new date was scheduled for Thursday June 10. And once again we received a call saying it was pushed back and was rescheduled for Monday June 14. We called the Friday before the date to confirm and were told that we were still on the schedule (pending weather). I took off from work Monday to ensure that someone would be home incase there were any issues while they were working on the roof. After waiting awhile at home for the contractors to show up, I decided to call again just to double check and was told that they were “playing it by ear” and that they MIGHT drop off the materials for the job (the weather was perfect btw). No one showed up and we didn’t hear from anyone. I called later that day to confirm what time the materials would be dropped off and was told that we were now scheduled for Wednesday June 16. Wednesday comes and no one shows up to the house and we have not heard back from the contractor. On Thursday after getting the run around from the front office yet again, I was finally able to speak with the owner Kalen who informed us that the contractors were still working on another job and didn’t know when they would be able to get to us. Which is something that we should have been informed about. But Kalen did came out later that day to re tarp the roof because it started leaking and reassured me that we were next on the list. We finally got a call from the contractor named Jared on Friday June 25 to inform us that the Monday we had scheduled may not work because of the rain chances but that he would monitor the rain chances throughout the week and as soon as we had a clear enough day he would start on the roof. We called him on Tuesday to see what the game plan was because the rain chances went down drastically and he told us the soonest he could start would be Thursday July 1st. They were scheduled to come to the house at 6:30am but never showed up so we gave Jared a call and were hit with the news that he was currently on another job and that he would try to make it to our house later that day to drop off a trailer while his guys finished up on the other job. That was the final straw for us! We called our salesman to cancel the contract and to get our deposit back and magically the contractors showed up to our house shortly after. Also, what should have been a 1 to 2 day job turned into over a week. No one communicated with us that they needed to order more metal and instead we had to call around to find out why they never returned to finish the job. The communication/ scheduling is terrible with this company and has caused us so much stress and inconvenience. We’ve had to push all of our other contractors back waiting on our roof to be completed costing us time and money. It seems this company/contractor takes on way too many jobs that they are ill prepared for. Always beware of contractors like this! We were definitely duped by trusting all of the good reviews and thinking this was a reputable and reliable company.Service: Roof installation

I had called several different roofing companies that gave me outrageous prices. Even at their outrageous prices they still couldn’t get me on the schedule for 2 weeks. I had a roof leaking on a tenant and felt this was unacceptable. I was referred by a friend who had used vermillion roofing in the past. From the time I called, their rep was at the house and had a quote for me in two hours. I explained the situation with the tenant and it was urgent. They moved their other prescheuled jobs around to fit me in. I think I called on a wednesday and the roof was completed On that friday afternoon. They were fast, professional and surprisingly much cheaper than their competition. I can’t say enough about how pleased i am with vermillion......and needless to say my tenant is very happy too.

I’m not sure how this business is getting all of these 5-star reviews because my experience was much different. I originally called vermillion back in December and scheduled a day for them to come out, I was given a time and day and I stayed home to wait for them. 3 hours after the scheduled appointment time I was still waiting, no call saying they’d be late or anything else. About 3 days later they called asking if we wanted to make an appointment and at the time I said no because I was angry. I didn’t even bother explaining that we already had an appointment and they didn’t show. Since there is a huge lack of siding companies it seems that are able to do the work at the moment, I called them back on January 19th and had Tim come out on the 21st. Tim seemed knowledgeable and said he’d work up the numbers and give us a quote via email. He asked that we send over our insurance adjustment paperwork since he said he had extensive experience working with insurance companies. A week went by and I didn’t hear anything back so I called, he knew who I was and said he hadn’t made it to the office yet but would call once he had a moment to look things over and price them up. He called the next day to say once again he hadn’t gotten to the office but once he did, he’d give us a call and let us know where we’d go from there. I called Tim February 23rd after not hearing from him in nearly a month only to have him tell me once again he hadn’t been to the office yet and that he wasn’t sure when he’d be able to get a quote going for a de-attach/re-attach on our siding and that the insurance may have an issue with it regardless since new siding isn’t being put up. I asked if it’d be better just to try and have it replaced with new siding and he said he wasn’t sure that would be an option the insurance would work with either. He said he’d call me back the next day. It’s been over two weeks and he has still not called me back. I not only think this is completely unprofessional but a really horrible situation to put a home owner in who has damage done to their home that needs to be addressed. I understand companies are overrun with work at the moment, but at least have the courtesy and decency to call me and let me know what’s going on.
