When it comes to food they will help you, when it comes to rental and bill help they have their picks. Ii turned in everything to them asking for help with rent after getting fired from my job for being handicapped they denied me. I had to move. I don't like to ask them for anything. They send you through a lot. They told me I had received help almost a year ago well yes I was homeless. Now I was fired. There is a difference. Homeless people don't need to be kicked down more. Smh!

OMG PEOPLE DONATE TO THIS ORGANIZATION TO HELP THE LESS FORTUNATE AND THE STUFF THEY SELL IN THEIR THRIFT STORE IS SO VERY EXPENSIVE THAT POOR PEOPLE CANT AFFORD ANY OF IT. THE EMPLOYEES GET FIRST PICK OF EVERYTHING AND THE ONLY WAY THEY WILL HELP A SINGLE MOTHER IS IF YOUR JUST GETTING OUT OF PRISON.SO IF YOU BREAK THE LAW THEY WILL SURELY HELP YOU BUT THEY REFUSE TO HELP LAW ABIDING SINGLE MOTHERS.WOW WHAT A SCAM THEY HAVE GOING.STOP DONATING TO THESE CROOKS.

Care Help, don't like it when people tell the truth about what's going on. How the employee's steal from the community and treat them with loathing. How they hand out rotten food not fit for a dog to eat. How they take donations from big companies and fill there pockets , instead of buying fresh meats and fruit , they give out rotten meat and fruit given by Sam's Club that should be thrown away. The food pantry is supposed to be for people to shop for themselves, even though it's limited that doesn't happen, now they just shove a basket at you and you hope it doesn't have something you are allergic too. Many of the things sold in the main store you can go buy brand new for either the same price and sometimes cheaper. So many people are fooled by the name Care Help of Sulphur that they don't have a clue what really goes on behind the scenes. Open your eyes people, any business that can't handle the truth on their page and blocks you for telling it , only shows how dishonest they truly are. Of course they only want people who faun & praise over them . They are afraid the people will find out how corrupt they are . Who's the President of the Board , Do you know , I do. Who's the President of the board's husband. Do you know , I do. Do your research people don't take my word for it. Or stay uninformed and fooled.

Employees get first pick and most prices are barely a deal. At least Goodwill has policies that make sure all items reach the floor. Knowing everything was given to them for free makes the prices feel non-consensual.

I have always loved this place but this time I had a bad experience, I bought a stove and left it paid for when I returned someone else had taken it...my question is, don't they have control over what is already sold? or the cameras don't work? I really came home without my stove, although they gave me a refund, that didn't pay for my lost time, gas and the rest!!!

They price things according to Google Lens and eBay, unless you are looking for clothes expect to pay up. The last time I was in the store the shelves were nicely stocked and the workers were nice. All of the pricy things behind the counter were stacked up in a bit of a mess it was hard to see what they had hidden back there and in the showcases.

I absolutely LOVE this place. They have a ginormous selection of items. When you visit be sure to check the outside part. Prices are very good. Most clothing is under $3 each piece, Most only $1-2. They also have 50 cent clothing, shoes and purse day every Friday! Great place for those on a limited budget for sure!They also get in lots of cool antique stuff. Also very reasonably priced. I recently purchased an old toaster with the fold down sides for $10 in excellent condition!I also shop for my scrub uniforms here. They always have a good selection of colors and sizes.The staff is very nice. And they do have restrooms and dressing rooms! Well worth the drive if you live outside Sulphur. I visit at least once a month from Port Arthur, Texas.

Well I am from out of town and I brought my grandson to driving school. So while he was driving I thought I would check out this store. Website said it was open so I went. The door was unlocked so I go in and the lady said we aren't open yet.I told her that the website said they opened at 8 am.she said oh no we don't until 10 am.I told her I was from out of town and was just wanting to look around in the store and she well you will have to come back at 10. Well I will never go back to this store.if I had a busines and the website said it was opened and if someone was to come I wouldn't turn them away.GOD BLESS

Great thrift store with a nice variety of clothing, home items, books/cd, accessories, furniture and more. The pricing is good on most items with specialty items being priced a little higher. Sales/discounts differ by day and are marked at the board upon entering.

The hours are different now, they close early, at 4pm. Best thrift store in Sulphur and Lake Charles. Prices can be a little inflated on some things, but for the most part the price is amazing. The staff is always kind and helpful.

Absolutely love this place. Very good prices and merchandise. Everyone in the store is so friendly. On Fridays they have .50 cent clothing and certain tags are half off. Definitely recommend this place

Provides assistance for people in need within the Sulphur area. Great place to volunteer to serve your community for clubs, sports teams and judicial hours. Donations accepted will provide tax credit documentation if wanted. Call before dropping large items. Items that are in need of minor repairs may be accepted call store first. Several different assistance programs call for information. Great Locally Owned Organization!!

The affluent people recycle their more expensive , brand name clothing by donating to the community of Sulphur. I have to say i was impressed! On Fridays,unless otherwise marked, i believe the clothes, shoes, and purses are ALL $ .50 each!!!! Not to mention they do have working appliances they sell, books, housewares, and toys. If you have a good eye it's really a bargain!! Also, they donate to other parts of the world where they need it most, it's run by a organized, religious church-cant remember which one. It really is always a nice experience.

I absolutely LOVE the folks that work here!! I was in need of completeling a few community service hours, Mr Randy and Ms. Jody allowed me to join the force, accepting donations, sorting, organizing as they showed me how this small donation hub/thrift store in this small town provides for the needs to low income or emergency assistance. Not only to our local community but even to 3rd world countries. I was blessed and humbled by the community involvement to provide the donations and to.see how much the folks here truly want to give the hopeless hope and the community a resale shop that has what appears to be a "Black Friday" sale every Friday with their 50 cent clothing sale. The Pavillion has opened and is is full.of furniture, toys, decor, bikes, and just about anything else they can fit in there. Come by, donate, shop, explore, get blessed by these incredible men and women truly making a difference in the lives of those in need.

Enjoy thrift store shopping my only suggestion is whoever is doing the pricing needs to be familiar with Dollar Tree items. :) I have seenSeveral items from there and they were priced double and triple the price. I still go and will continue to go :)

Always great finds. Fridays have half priced clothing deals. $$ actually benefits the local community (unlike Goodwill, which is a billion dollar for-profit corporation). They have furniture, clothing, tchotchkes, housewares, books, baby things, jewelry, etc etc...

Great and wonderful place and people. My family can’t express our expectations and love for the two special women we meet that not only stayed an hour late and gave me my daughter and husban food but they also paid our hotel room for a whole week while my husban was in between jobs and we had not a penny to our name a roof over our heads and our only freinds and family living back home in Al. We so appreciate the help that was giving to us for without it I don’t know what we would have done. Thank you ladies for your wonderful hearts and great job that you do of helping people and family’s every single day. We won’t forget the help we got here and as soon as we’re back on our feet we will return the favor and donate. Again thanks for everything y’all did that day. It went above and beyond.

The prices on clothes are great, but whoever sorts the other stuff is a bit crazy with their prices. I often see things like "this goes for X-dollars on eBay" as if eBay and a thrift store serve the same purpose.
