I cannot give a more scathing review to this company. It would be in the negative. How I wish I had listened to some of the negative reviews listed. Instead Shay convinced me that they were simply a few difficult customers, just as all companies have. If you are reading this, please do not hire this company! They will lie to you, cost you thousands and leave you in worse shape. We contracted with him do do a large drywall job. I was out of state having treatment for cancer and in a very vulnerable position. Shay lied to me repeatedly about the work that was getting done, sent me pictures of a small area that had been completed to give me the impression that the job was being completed. He harassed me for payment and assured me that the job was complete. When we arrived, half the drywall was not even hung, the mud job looked like my 8 year old could have done it and there were MJ roaches everywhere. My daughter cried. It was so disheartening. I called Shay to try to work out completion of the work, or a refund. He told me to take him to court. Because of my cancer treatment, this was not possible. Please do not make the same mistake I did. He can not be trusted. We lost 10K to him, and ended up with double work to complete the job ourselves. You may notice 3 of the 5 star reviews are his "Shay Kant", the others are probably friends or family. The 1 star reviews are the true story. People just don't go out of their way to give a bad review unless they were really taken advantage of. I tried going to the company address listed, its just a shared computer access work space, not a legitimate company. Complete scammer. He is good at convincing you he is a professional company, but will lie to you without remorse. Don't take the bait. PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE CALLING. I don’t normally write reviews but I wanted to save some people from this company. Not only was I charged 4K for a $500 job but my child ended up in the hospital because of their poor craftsmanship. I won’t get into details but if one person reads this and avoids calling them then it’s worth it. My child almost died because they don’t know what they are doing SO PLEASE STAY AWAY From this company.

UPDATE: I AM SATISFIED WITH THE REFUND THAT I RECEIVED. I CAN HONESTLY SAY THAT, AT MINIMUM, THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR WORK. I HAVE UPPED MY RATING FROM ONE STAR TO TWO FOR THE SATISFACTORY OUTCOME.I was solicited by Patriot General Contractors, Inc. - a man named Shay came to our door offering professional painting contractor service. We happened to have been in need of a paint job. He proposed $2,800 for one room justifying the price as we were having the ceiling, walls and trim painted and changing it from a dark color to light would require several coats. I thought the price was high, but figured it would take some time to get the job done and we were hesitant to paint the ceiling on our own. Long story short - it was not in any way professional-they damaged my hallway bringing a step ladder in, they used regular masking tape to prep the walls causing paint bleeding onto my floors and awful lines, (note these pictures were taken after I began prepping the room to repair it myself with painter’s tape), and only applied one coat of paint. I called the owner and let him know that I was unsatisfied with the outcome: we could see the pink paint through the light blue. He argued with me at first saying they put several coats up (they prepped, painted and left after five hours), then said he’d send a guy over in the morning to touch things up. I told him it needed more than a touch up, it definitely needed a second coat, he insisted a touch up job would be done. The pictures below are after they “fixed” it. The man who came asked me repeatedly to do their clean up job and despite me pointing out all the problems, he claimed he couldn’t see what I was talking about. After he left, I asked for a partial refund of $2,000. To be fair, the ceiling wasn’t as awful as the rest - it only took me an half an hour to fix their mistakes on the ceiling. I sent the owner about a dozen pictures of the walls after the “fix” where you can clearly see the pink paint right through the one coat of paint and all the errors below. They offered me $250 back and I said that was too low. They didn’t respond to me again. They worked a total of 8 hours - 5 hours day 1 and 3 hours of “touch up” - this is not worth $350 an hour! It took me about 14 hours and two more coats of paint to fix the room. Additionally they never painted the trim. Day 1 I had to specify that I wanted nail gun holes covered. After I left the room and walked outside, I heard one of the painters swearing from the open wondow, dropping f bombs saying he “already f-ing painted it. Wish I f-ing knew she wanted the damn holes covered ahead of time!” My hope is this post prevents you from the financial loss and headaches they’ve caused me. If there were zero stars, that would be my rating!Service: Paint indoors

I needed a front and back porch rebuilt. Shay came out and in 5 minutes quoted $18,000, just for labor only, and the home owner buys all materials. But 10% off because I was a retired vet. So new price $15000, but they wanted "$5000 now, and sign a contract". Yes outrages. They need to change there name to Shays Shysters. I just received a quote from a local contractor, for all inclusive $17500. Will review them when work complete.

I worked with Shay a few weeks ago to have my back deck painted and a new back door installed. I waited a while to make this review- but I think it’s important for people to know that if you use this company you will be way over charged for a subpar level of service. I could have easily hired an independent contractor just like the one Shay sent to do the work for a fraction of the price. It’s not that I was unwilling to pay the amount I was quoted- however I expected for that amount of money for there to be schedule or just any kind of order while the work was done. Instead, I had to reach out and insist the work get done at the time I was told back in March when I paid the deposit. Apparently, Shay needed to be reminded. Then, for the two days the work was being done, I was asked to rush home from work TWICE. Which I found very frustrating as I am single and working full time. The first time I hurried home, the conversation I had with the contractor definitely could have been had over the phone. The second time, I was called and given an hour notice to rush home and pay the reminder of my balance. I was never given an itemized statement at the completion of the work, even after I called Shay and had a conversation with him about why I was unhappy- I also specifically requested the statement, which I never received. Again, I was prepared to pay for the amount quoted but the hassle involved was definitely not worth the money I paid. The prices at this contracting company are definitely inflated disproportionately to the level service you will receive. Beware.Services: Exterior painting, General repairs

Patriot General Contractors was hired to build and repair stairs and paint entryway walls. As you know, floor installing is not easy. I believe that Andrew did an excellent job. He was professional ,courteous and meticulous about his work and cleanup. He was also considerate of our needs. Shay was very professional and we could not ask for better customer service with estimates working with our budget and delivery of those services.We are not easy to please but are more than happy with their services and would hire them again.Services: Home renovations, Paint indoors

SCAM!!!!! DO NOT HIRE!!!!! THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM SET UP BY A CON ARTIST!!!!!!!!I contracted Patriot General Contractors in the begining off March to do a remodel of an unfinished section of our house. I hired Patriot General Contractors because I was assured everything from permits to contractors would all be handled for me. Construction can be a headache and I had just delivered a newborn and was looking for the project to be managed by the general contractor.From the very start things started to go wrong. The actual contractor who came to quote never showed up. The focus was on adding all cosmetic features first so I would think they are bing more productive than they actually were. The probelms added when walls were being ripped down again to backtrack and add electric and plumbing in. I had caught the project manager, Shay, in several lies. He would try and talk his way out of every situation instead of addressing my concerns which I was vocalizing throughout the entire project. Small things, from putting poly on wood shelves before staining them, to larger issues like waiting until last minute to figure out dryer ventilation and electrical issues. I never received an itemized list for the project or prices. I was given an exaggerated change order for work I did not request.Every week got worse and worse. After a month of the project, we had one of the contractors come back to our house and tell us we were ripped off and all the work that had ben done was not to code and was improperly installed. He informed us that he had not been paid for the work he had already done and was walking off the job because of it.Each week new contractors would come and leave. Work became one mess after the next. Every task that was worked on was having to be redone.We fired the general manager, Shay, and ordered him off our property. We requested another general manager to take over and finish the job but no one ever shows back up. We were told this was a large reputable company which has worked on many small and large scale projects, but it seems to be a one man con artist show.We have since had to hire our own contractors to finish the job, costing us additional money. We paid $40.000 for a job that we never received any receipts or any itemized project lists. I have contacted Shay many times to try and rectify this situation but our desperation has fallen on deaf ears.

I called the number on the website and was immediately disconnected as my cell service reception inside my home is poor. I attempted to call back, but it went right to message service. He then sent me a text asking who I was. I explained that I instead wrote an email because of my poor cell service inside my home. He went on to text that there are a lot of scammers after him and that he requires a phone call to prequalify everyone. This exchange alone should’ve been my first warning.The website states “start your free quote”, so I stepped outside a little while later and called, but the result was a fee of $350 for someone to come look at my home. When asked why this was I was told via text “Yes we qualify the client.You did Not qualify for a Free Estimate, I’m very sorry.” I was not asked a single question that would prequalify me. Nothing about my job, income, really no information at all. The only question he asked was where my home was located and what I was looking to be done. After my reply he went on about his qualifications and insurance backing of $2million and his very satisfied customers and offered services getting financial backing from the bank “with a little fluffing of the numbers because some clients like to have a little extra”. With the way he conducts himself on the phone and via text, I wouldn’t want the free estimate because I wouldn’t trust it or him. Should’ve read the former employee’s review before calling.
