You need to make sure you keep your employees accountable. Delivery drivers especially. Salesmen too, but especially delivery drivers. All of you seem to say the same thing, "not my fault or my problem" Your paycheck says Hancock, so it is your fault and problem

Stopped in to get ONE ROLL of insulation and waited 20 minutes, while 10 guys stood outside the bay stretching. One of the sale reps came out to tell us “it wouldn’t be much longer until their stretching would be over”. Horrible customer service.

I have recently built a home in Bridgton Maine and used Hancock lumber as our supplier for lumber and windows. We have had numerous issues, from the lumber takeoff to the wrong application of our windows. Owning a successful company myself, passing on a problem to the homeowner is the wrong way to go about solving a problem. If you are looking to build a home and you are not familiar with all of the products that you are purchasing from Hancock, DO NOT rely on the sales staff to give you the right information. They are not familiar with all there products but they have no problem selling them to you. We have had numerous issues and we have waited months for someone to call us back. At this current time we still have the same issues and we are left trying to fix these issues on our own. With the money we spent, you would figure they would assist us with a solution to the problem. Instead they want to pass the buck! When we started the search for lumber yards, we were looking for service, not the cheapest company. We knew we were paying a premium but we didn't realize the knowledge of there products were lacking. Buyers beware, anyone can be an order taker. If that's what we wanted, we would have gone to Home Depot!

Order was placed on 7/02/20 and I was,told by the salesperson that it would not be delivered until 7/06/20 in the morning. Delivery did not arrive until late afternoon (around 3-3:30). Equipment used to move it off of the delivery truck not only dug up my driveway but also my lawn.

I've worked with Hancock Lumber for over 10 years. I've also worked with every other lumber yard in the area including Lowe's and Home Depot and can honestly say Hancock Lumber in Bridgton and the staff they have in the office and in the yard are the best. I get my orders in quick and can always count on quick delivery. If an order is messed up or something goes wrong I can call Hancock up and they fix it. I've been in the store several times when homeowners walk in and the staff is quick to help with questions and answers. And also, Hancock Lumber has the best pine, without a shadow of a doubt. Thanks Hancock!

The staff working here is first class, help me with every question asked ,they took the time to give me some roofing materials prices and a referral list of roof contractors ,simply put a great lumber yard.
