Chris was not the cheapest bid. He committed to compete the job in our time frame. His sub had a problem and Chris stepped up and, with no argument, took responsibility and sent his team back in to redo the roof. While we did not expect a problem he solved it and the final product is very good. The final workmanship is at our spec level. He communicated and was very pleasant through the entire job, a big job doing 8 buildings. We would definitely recommend him and use him again.

Thank you, Scesny Roofing! That was quite a wind storm last December! The high winds tore about half of the shingles from the front slope of the main section of our roof. We found Scesny Roofing’s listing in our parish bulletin. Chris arrived on the same day we called to assess the damage. His team installed a temporary cover until a final quote could be prepared and reviewed by our insurance adjuster. With the quote accepted his team scheduled us, and a few days later they got to work. They removed all the remaining shingles and nails from that roof section, and installed a new ridge line vent and new shingles (which matched perfectly to the other undamaged areas). We feel fortunate and thankful Chris was able to fit us into their busy schedule. We highly recommend them for roofing installations or repairs. I needed to have the roof on my garage replaced sooner than I had anticipated after a few bigger storms came through. I gave Chris a call and he was able to stop by the next day and pull together a detailed quote. He quoted three different levels of shingles that would closely match the rest of the house. Chris was able to get our project in within a couple of weeks which was great considering it was December! I had my roof replaced by Scesny Roofing on February 1, 2024. The roof was done with Owens Corning 50-year warrantied shingles. On February 12th I noticed some of the shingles buckling up under the eave of my front-side dormer. I sent a photo to Chris and Dale, who replied that Chris would be out the next day to take a look. I also asked that they pick up all the roofing nails that were buried in the snowbanks when the roof work was done. Chris never showed. I sent Dale another message on Feb. 21st with no response. I sent him another message on Feb. 26th. I also sent Chris a text on the 27th asking him to give me a call; no response. I heard back from Dale on the 27th after texting some photos of water coming into my house from the rainstorm we were having. Dale said Chris would be out on the following week on Monday, he never showed. Chris texted me after seeing the photos of the leaking saying he had been sick and would get someone over to my house in the next couple of days. I had leaking in several places, coming in from the vent-pipe and all around the chimney (the chimney was cleaned, inspected and re-calked several weeks before I had the new roof put on, and there were no leaks at all in the few rainstorms we had). On March 7, Zach (who works for Chris) showed up at my house to inspect it. On March 9th, Zach returned and did some quick caulking around the chimney and vent-pipe. Both were still leaking in rainfall after this visit and I sent more photos to show this. Zach returned on March 14th and did more work around the chimney. On March 17th I sent Zach photos of water streaming into my house from all around the chimney, which was now much, much worse. Since then we’ve had several rainstorms with the same results. As I write this today (March 28) I have buckets of water coming in and doing damage to my house! No communication or follow-through with Chris. When Chris finished the roof on Feb 1st, I handed him the final payment check. The next day Dale called me to say they lost the check and could I get them a new one asap. I left my work, went to the bank to cancel/re-issue the check, and then drove it out to their office to deliver it myself. I believe people in business should honor their work and contracts so that the customer is completely satisfied. I’m sad to say that has not been my experience with Scesny Roofing. My advice based on this experience, steer clear!!

I'm relieved that now, when friends ask if I can recommend a roofing company, I can refer them to Scesny Roofing.We requested estimates from four local contractors to repair and re-shingle our garage and sunroom after damage from a wind storm. Two provided estimates for only high-grade, architectural shingles. One contractor never responded. Scesny Roofing was the only company to provide estimates for low, mid, and high-grade shingles, making it easy to compare, weigh our options, and ultimately choose his company to do the work. (We chose the mid-grade shingles.) Chris provided us with the information we requested and answered questions without high-pressure sales tactics.Zach and his hard-working crew arrived and went straight to it. Everyone was polite, chill, and mannerly which I genuinely appreciate. They took care to put down tarps to protect the lawn and garage (picture attached) and cleaned up after themselves throughout the job. We're pleased with how quickly and cleanly the work went. Zach made certain to have the buildings buttoned up before pending bad weather arrived. Though the job was completed while we were out, he came back to look things over with us, just in case we had any questions. My husband and I are very happy with the work Scesny Roofing did recently. All the workers were very professional-they were meticulous in their work. You wouldn’t even have known that we were having our roof reshingled. We have a large house and it only took them 2 1/2 days to finish it! and after they got done working those days everything was picked up and put away. The owner Chris would check in frequently ! Chris, as the business owner, is friendly, detailed, and professional at the same time. This time of the year (post-Covid) contractors are super busy, so understand that it might take a little longer between communication, but Chris was on-point. The consultation was smooth and on-time; the quote was detailed and one of the best prices out there. They replaced the roof on the home that we purchased. Before we moved in (3 years after installation) the roof was already leaking. It took weeks to get them in to fix the leak and they made us reschedule multiple times. We contacted them again in March because the roof was again leaking. Someone came out (after rescheduling day of twice) to see the spot where it was leaking, told me they would come again the following Friday to see it while it was raining, and then never contacted me again. Now part of our mudroom is water damaging and rotting because they never came to fix the roof. I have called them once a month since then and have heard nothing at all. Hope your roof never has any problems, because they don't respect their garuntees and don't call you back.Edit: I have since continued to try to contact Scesny Roofing and they have not gotten back to me.Edit 2: To be clear, I left a review in the fall of 2022. I have been calling since June 2022. The owners response to my review is the first I've heard from them since they were here in mid March of 2022. There are two leaks in my roof. One in the attic that was addressed in the owner's response (which again I was told by the technician that they would come out when it was raining to confirm the leak and then they never contacted me again. It was not made clear to me at any point any of what the owner had said in their response. I would have gladly made plans if they had ever made any of this clear) and a second on the first floor that started shortly after the technicians visit. The leak that has caused the damage seen in photos is not from the leak addressed by the owner, but instead the new leak that has occurred since March.Services: Roof repair, Roof installation

I was super pleased with the quality of work, responsiveness and professionalism of Scensy Roofing.After purchasing a home, my insurer told me that I had to replace the roof within 30 days or lose my coverage.I contacted Chris and several other providers. Chris came out the next day and provided a quote that was significantly less than the other options. He was also the only provider who was willing to begin work within a week.Zach and his team of 6-7 completed the job in less than 3 days. They were always polite and professional.The roof looks great, and I'm really pleased. It wasn't a project that I expected to need to do this year, but now I'm glad it's done. They did great in regards with everything! First off, there were a ton of companies that simply didn't call me back, but Scesny got back to me very quickly and gave me a good idea of that timeline. Of all the quotes I received, this was the best one with the most detail, and I appreciate knowing exactly what I was paying for. They even came out before the metal came in to waterproof my old roof so it wouldn't leak further while waiting for the roofing materials to arrive. They communicated with me during the whole process and gave me updates throughout everything, ordering, shipping, beginning work and finishing up, even with pictures along the way. When they finished the job, they even cleaned up the work site instead of leaving nails and shingle pieces everywhere! It's all the little things that made a huge difference! These guys are great and I would recommend them to anybody!
