I found Trevor through Home Advisor December 2020. Trevor gave a detailed estimate 15K to Excavate my vacant wooded lot 4 miles from his business. I agreed to the estimate and paid a deposit of 3K. Trevor told H.A. the job would be done in Jan weather permitting. When the middle of March rolled around I contacted him directly and he told me he had not started because the survey markings were gone. So I shelled out the $1200 to Survey Inc to re-survey the lot. I went out to meet him so we could go over the details again and he was very nice and had a good plan. Now the lot would be completed mid May. On May 10 I get an Invoice from H.A. the job is completed. I found this strange because I thought Trevor would have contacted me directly to go over the outcome. So I drove the 2 hours with my family to check out what is supposed to be our vacation spot. I was shocked to find not only was the job incomplete, there was a total mess. He took down a few trees and left a huge pile of chips and a huge mud hole with the water runoff seeping into the middle of the lot. I'm not sure what happened. I'm too upset to contact him and I doubt he would take my call anyway. I reported it to H.A. and I'm now so far behind on my project. Now I have to start the search for a new contractor. I think if I lived locally I could have been more present and maybe it would have made a difference. We may never know. I doubt I'll get my deposit back. Hopefully this is an isolated incident and other folks have better luck than I have. The photos are the lot divided into 4 from the boundary lines. Two of the photos are the mess and the other two are the untouched portion of the .46 acre lot.

We had River’s Edge cut down two large trees from our yard . They completely removed both trees and cleaned up the area so well you would not know any trees had been there if it were not for the stumps. They really did a great job. I highly recommend that anyone needing single trees removed or a lot cleared , contact Trevor. He is very reliable , answers any questions you may have and takes care to leave your property looking great.

My wife and I own a four acre woodlot in Western Maine. Trevor Chaplin was contracted to clear and thin a large portion of the land that had been overgrown with tightly spaced white pine and red maple. Once his equipment landed on the work site, he completed the job in a timely manner.Trevor and I met several times while the job was in process. He was a good listener and always understood what the plan was. Trevor was very good at communicating via text (much appreciated). The clearing and thinning were carried out within the marked bounds. We would HIGHLY recommend Rivers Edge Logging and Land Clearing. We had a house lot cleared as well as some selective cutting done down back, couldn't be happier with the end results.
