They put a new metal roof on our camp on an island in Belgrade Lakes. The process was slow to get scheduled, due to needing to find a boat for the estimate and then one for the work, but once we got that figured out, they did the work on time, and did it extremely well. Steve and his crew did a superb job of making sure everything was built to be leak-free for longer than the rest of my life. The material samples they provided were also very useful for selecting the color.The camp was built in the early 1930s and has some complicated eave-valley interactions that required significant work to install. As an engineer for a well-known space agency, I was impressed with the engineering they did to make it not just watertight but with redundancy. The new flashing on the fieldstone chimneys should eliminate the regular leaks we used to have there, for example. (That work was done by G&L Contracting, to Beck's specifications.)They also added/replaced some gutters, which I haven't seen in person yet but the photos (and the gutter sample I did see) look not only beautiful but sturdy enough to last until the heat death of the universe.Mitch was very responsive and helpful dealing with the issues of working on an island, and everyone on the crew was a joy to have at the camp while they were working. The end result is absolutely gorgeous, and the thought of never having to re-roof again is a huge load off. Steve was meticulous in making sure to keep the worksite clean (no sharp metal shards allowed!) while I was there, so I am confident there will be none when we get back next summer. In addition, they installed two solar panels that I provided. I suspect that was more work than initially planned for, but they did a great job at the contracted price.Overall, I couldn't be happier with the process or the result!Service: Roof installation

I called for an estimate on a roof, and while they were responsive in stopping by within a week, I waited 4 weeks for a response on the estimate only for them to tell me that it's basically not worth their time, and refused my quote. It would probably be better business to be up front about these things, rather than make false promises for weeks...only to bail out when I inquired. Unprofessional, and won't be using or recommending anyone to use them.

I didn't have them do my roof (metal) but wish I had spent the extra money b/c the company I had was a problem from the get go.From what I can see they are very thorough,pay there help well so they retain them and have less turn over which translates to better workers and quality work. Their design of the vent stack option is a good indication of their commitment to do a quality job.jmb

Very disappointed in their customer service, called to just get a housing estimate and the gentleman (said his name was Bill) said that he didn't want to waste time on me if I wasn't serious. I am very serious, and I am currently under contract and in the process of trying to purchase a home and need to replace my roof in the next couple of years. I just wanted to get some info on this and see how much I was looking at from a price standpoint. They are receiving a single star because of some of the worst customer service I've ever received from someone in business.

i had a roof installed many years ago. at that time another car dealer was also looking for a new roof. i used c o beck and sons. the other car dealer did not. my roof is still in top shape. the other dealer's roof leaks. i used a roofing consultant for specs. co beck exceeded all expectations.Service: Roof installation
