John was fantastic. He did an excellent job on repointing the bricks on my chimney and installing a chimney cap. His price was extremely reasonable given the amount of time and effort he put into the job. He's a one-man shop and doesn't have a team of people to call/email you back - just keep that in mind if he takes a bit to get back to you. John came over to give us an estimate on our project to fix a crack in our chimney. While we were surprised that he didn’t have a ladder tall enough to get up on our roof to take a look (we had one he could borrow but he didn’t take us up on the offer- our roof is a standard 2-story height), he gave us an estimate, said he could do it within 3 weeks, we confirmed via e-mail, and never heard from him again. We’ve left voice messages and e-mail messages and have not heard back. We certainly hope he isokay, and know that these are challenging times for everyone. Unfortunately wecan’t recommend him because he hasn’t responded to us or followed through with his work offer.

Needed a cap put on my chimney and some minor pointing. Casco Bay Chimney was very responsive and very easy to work with. I called a couple other places, but John was able to do a great job way quicker and much cheaper then the other quotes I got!! Definitely recommend!!

John was excellent. He came over to look at what was needed. Then, two days later, was back for a cleaning, fireproofing, special grouting. Showed me the results and that I didn't need any further work inside. Coming from Vermont, a good chimney person is a prized find. I will definitely use his services again.

They didn't show up to the 1st appointment. They called and rescheduled, but they never showed at the 2nd appointment. They never called, answered their phone or responded to a message after that. Very poor experience.
