After getting quotes from several building contractors who were recommended by neighbors and friends that did not work out, we went to Home Depot to inquire about their professionals who can finish our basement.They helped us with names and contacts of three contractors in our area. Mizan General Construction were one of them. We spoke with Syed and he came over to see our basement and the work that is needed to complete.We selected Syed because he is very good with communicating with customers and very reliable.His team was very dependable and efficient. They finished the entire basement on time with no issues. They treated us with respect and courtesy all throughout. Syed and his team were so friendly that they became like family to us and we are even sad that the project is over because we will not be seeing them regularly.I recommend them for any of your home improvement projects.

I hired Mizan General Construction for a basement remodel and I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome. Syed and his team were a pleasure to work with – professional, friendly, and attentive to our needs. They completed the project on schedule and within the agreed budget, which is a rarity these days. The quality of work is evident in every corner of our new space, which has become our favorite spot for entertaining family and friends. My only regret is that Google doesn’t offer 10 star reviews! I was finishing about 650SF of my basement and needed someone to hang and finish the drywall so it was paint ready. I got in contact with Syed from Mizan and he got a quote to me extremely quickly. The quote wasn’t the lowest but Syed followed up regularly and revised his quote to be competitive. Syed was always extremely polite and professional and tried to do everything he could to work around my schedule. I signed the quote Tuesday and he delivered all the material Thursday so that they could start immediately Friday. They hung the entire area in around 6 hours. They came back the next day and taped and got all skim coats done. They took the day off Sunday and returned Monday to sand everything. Throughout the job Syed was checking in making sure things were going smoothly, making sure they had enough material, and making sure I didn’t have any questions or concerns. On Sunday when they sanded Syed was also present and they cleaned out all of their material and trash and cleaned the floors. (Pictures are after first night when drywall was hung and after second night before mud dried)I work for one of the largest General Contractor’s in the US, running commercial construction projects, and this type of drywall work occurs on every job. The quality of work from Syed and his guys is on par with what I would be comfortable with turning over to a client. They were reliable, punctual, respectful, and worked quickly. I had another sub working in the same area and there were no issues. Anyone working in this industry knows coordination and cooperation between subs is critical and usually does not go so smoothly, so I was very appreciative of this. I found Mizan general construction through a friend, I called them up, the very next day they came out and provided a quote. The next day they got started, I asked them can they complete the job before Christmas, they did my whole basement including building me a wet a week before Christmas day. They did a superb job.

Mizan General Construction to the rescue when my previous contractor was a “no show” and my living room was filled with everything needed to upgrade my two bathrooms, including vinyl plank flooring, new toilets, and 42”vanity. I had already hired a painter; Mizan was agreeable to work around the painter’s schedule for deconstruction and unexpectedly completed my guest bath the same day. The quality of work is excellent; I am one who will notice the little imperfections after the job is finished, so was on the lookout for those little “problems” as the work progressed. Mizan understood my perspective and had the skills to achieve a top quality job. They also responded very well to last minute changes when we had a “fit” issue. Not only do I recommend them, I will use them when I am ready to do work on my kitchen and replace my laundry room sink.

Constructed a new rear porch for my 89 year old Mom so that she would be safe when she sat outside. They quickly removed the old metal rusted porch. Replaced the broken concrete slab underneath and constructed a new Trex porch that is the envy of the neighborhood! This is the second deck/porch they have completed for me. Despite material delays due to Covid and extreme heat, the work was completed quickly. I am looking forward to more projects with Syed.

I needed an external wooden staircase replaced going up to the 2nd floor of the house. They got it done in 2 days and it looks great! Solid construction for a reasonable price. Will definitely call Mizan for the next project.

Syed was awesome to work with. We had been striking out with contractors recommended by friends and gave Mizan a try based on good Google reviews. We had the front door reframed and an old (heavy!) Storm door put back on. I requested a quote online from Google and got a call the same day. It took a couple tries to get the initial quote, but once we approved it, the team was here 2 days later and completed the job. The communication was a 10/10 during the job, the employees were very respectful, and the work came out beautifully. Syed was on-site to kick off the job and inspected everything at the end. We will certainly be working with Mizan again in the future!

Mizan came right out and gave an affordable estimate, and started work 2 days later remodeling my bedroom. They did a great job, and they worked on it every day and finished ahead of schedule. They are honest and hardworking, and they do good work. My room looks great. I’ll be having them back to do more work at my home in the very near future. We were in the process of selling our house and needed several different projects addressed. They were asked to raise and add supports to the wooden deck. Reinforce the deck's railings. Install a new roof vent and connect it to the bathroom exhaust fan. Plus even install downspout, and have it all done in 10 days!Mizan had their quote in within two days. After they got the job they were very responsive and on the job(s) the very next week. Each task was addressed professionally, by friendly staff who were willing to work with you, and completed within two days. All the jobs effectively provided the solutions that were jointly requested, and performed at a very reasonable price point without over runs. Definitely, would recommend to others.

Since the pandemic, my wife and I did any exterior work to bring life back into our property. We needed interior work done as well. After visiting Home Depot, they gave four or five referrals. MGCC is a very professional group that completes their quality work far in advance of the deadline. They painted my whole condo and completed several other handyman projects. The owner kept me abreast daily of their progress and always asked if they could do anything to make sure their work was exceptional, which it was. The team was always courteous and helpful. The costs were very fair. I told the owner I would be highly to recommend them, and would call on them again. Mizan general construction is a top notch, A1 construction company that is primarily focused on customer satisfaction. After dealing with some slow and unprofessional contractors, Mizan came in, worked there butts off, and got my project done in the time they promised. They installed my paver patio and took pride in their workmanship. I was hands off the entire time, they knew what to do, and how to do it. In the beginning, even when their was some miscommunication about the size of the patio, Mizan said "no problem" we will work it out and was reasonable with the price. Mizan kept the lines of communication open and was always on the job when they said they would be. All and all I am very satisfied with the service they provided, my patio turned out beautifully, and would hire Mizan again and recommend them to my family and friends.

I have had the pleasure of using services from Mizan last weekend when I had flooding in my basement because of sump pump issues. They were very quick to respond my call in weekend and arrived with in half an hour I called them. The owner Mr. Syed did an amazing job and quick! he came in come in and diagnosed what needed to be done and completed the sump pump replacement within an hour.Syed Ali is extremely responsive and did a tremendous job which saved my basement from further damage. You should not hesitate to use their services.

It was just happenstance that I happened to meet Syed who told me about Mizan General Construction. I needed someone to correct/reinstall my breakfast bar countertop that was incorrectly installed by a previous contractor. Syed did an excellent job in reinstalling and securing the countertop. My wife and I decided to completely redo our master bath. Problem was we had no idea who to use. we reached out to Mizan Construction. Was this ever a good choice 😊 We met with Ali (co owner) and Syed and decided this was a good fit. They have over time developed a set of phases to give you your dream plan. After several meetings and visits to vendors who they have people to help you we are just starting demo. The process seemed a little intimidating at first for 2 people who have no idea what we want. Through their process, Mizan along with the vendors, we have exactly what is going to be our dream master bath. I can’t say enough about this company and all their employees. I was recommended to MGCC by a family friend who had their patio done.I am more than content with Ali and his team’s work. Efficient, professional and recommendable.Not only did they go above and beyond but they followed up with me a few weeks later to make sure if I was happy with their work and if I was dissatisfied with anything.I explained to them about a minute detail that was bugging me, so they came back out (for a VERY SMALL FEE) and did me a service that they were not contractually obliged to.They should have charged me more. Syad and his team arrived at 7:30am on 2/3/20 and completed a 2800 sq.ft. interior paint job on 2/4/20 at 4pm. Our observation and interaction with Syad and his team was smooth and joyful. Each person has a skill that is unique and masterful. The cutter paints the corners and wall edges with surgical precision, the roller is a Pablo Picasso with a open wall and Syad is excellent at planning and keeping the work on schedule and operating smoothly and safely. He has a "Eagle Eye" at identifying problems and recommending solutions and a plan of action to repair same. He helped us solve and fix a few problems unrelated to painting at no cost. Syad and his team are a asset to any homeowner that requires a excellent General Contractor.
