I ultimately decided to go with this company and I’m glad that I did. The work was very quick, taking only two hours to complete and Pats team was flexible in scheduling my install date. We recently used Capitol Improvements for an older home in NE DC. This was a siding replacement that was long overdue and we also had the soffits replaced. We were very impressed by the hard work of the crew who would arrive at 7:30 and work until past 6 pm. They appeared very efficient and worked well together. Pat Jewell, the owner, came to my house for the estimate. He was easy to talk to and was not high pressure. His price and warranty was the best of the three estimates I received. He gave me two references which I called. Both were very pleased with his work. One of them, a church, has had him come back for a second job on another section of their roof.It has been a very rainy season which delayed the job for several weeks. When we got a break in the forecast, they scheduled the job for a Saturday. The crew of six showed up around 9:30. They were professional and got to work right away. My neighbor and I got up on the roof and took the pictures below. The crew worked steadily all day until nightfall and finished the job that same day. Each crewmember knew their job and didn't need a lot of instruction. Danny, the crew supervisor, answered questions I had during the installation process. I was pleased with the way they reconstructed the protrusions through the roof for my air conditioner, attic fan and skylight. They also did a good job with replacing some rotten wood on the edges and rehanging the gutters so they wouldn't sag with the weight of ice in the winter. In summary, I am very pleased with the job they did for me and highly recommend them.

Our home was in need of a lot of TLC beginning with replacement of the roof. I contacted Capitol Improvement after chatting with a colleague about his pleasure with his new roof from Capitol Improvement. My husband and I met with Pat Jewell and he was such a pleasure to work with. Very knowledgeable and kind. We felt comfortable with this company. I understand they use employees rather than subcontractors! We ended up getting a new roof, trim, coil, gutters w/ covers and downspouts. Very, very pleased with their work!! So initially we were going to have a door to door roofing company do the roof. Communication with that company didn't go well so I started searching around and found Capitol improvements. I called Capital Improvements to get a quote to have my siding replaced. Lance came out and went over all my options. He was extremely professional and very knowledgeable. He explained the trim that I might need and showed me what the trims looked like and also explained the insulation they put under the siding. I also said I was planning on getting a new sliding door and he told me they could also do that. I was very pleased to get everything done at once. Seth arranged all the work at the house and they did everything in 2 days.I plan on getting some inside work done the first of next year and plan on having them come out to see what I will need.I would highly recommend this company. They were easy to reach and kept in constant touch during the process.

In November 2020, I selected “Capitol Improvements” when I needed Siding work to repair my vinyl siding on one side of my 3-level end unit townhouse, after my neighbor’s fire melted my siding. Based on my experience working with “Capitol Improvements” I would highly recommend them to do any Vinyl siding work on your house.My house was an eye sore to the community. I selected “Capitol Improvements” from a list of 10 or more potential siding companies. After much research I narrowed, the list down to 5 companies. I asked each company the same questions, trying to get a feel for who I should select to do the work. I went back and forth with the companies, asking questions, researching the companies using BBB.org, requesting information in writing, and talking to the company representative in person.I selected “Capitol Improvements” because the owner “Pat”, took the time to talk to me, explaining what would be done to restore the house, better than before the house was damaged in the fire. My dad is a brick lawyer and I grew up around real construction tradesman – Game Recognizes Game. I could tell Pat knew his business of Vinyl Siding and he was an excellent communicator. A lot of the representatives from the other siding companies, seemed to get frustrated with me asking questions and requesting answers to be in writing. Getting the siding fixed correctly was very important to me, because of the cost involved to fix the house and ensuring the work would be done safely – I had a concern with the workers reaching the difficult parts of the 3-level townhouse. The Homeowner association would have to be satisfied with the look, material matching the other sides of the house and quality. I wanted a company that would be confident they could do the work and would stand by the work. I wanted a company that would help me fix the messed-up vinyl siding on my house. The owner Pat did a great deal of helping me, put my confidence in “Capital Improvements” to fix damaged vinyl siding of my home.“Capitol Improvements” got the materials, and started the work at the agreed upon time. I was very impressed with the workers who repaired my house siding. The workers worked so hard, that I was inspired to work harder for my boss. The house was completely finished in 5 days, and the workers cleaned up after their work was done. To this day I have no clue how the “Capitol Improvement” workers fixed the more dangerous higher parts of the 3-level townhouse.The vinyl siding on the 1 side completed by “Capitol Improvements”, is better than the vinyl siding on my entire house.The Homeowner association was satisfied and 5 of my neighbors commented me on how good the siding looked. Our experience with Capitol Improvements actually started about a year ago. After shopping several roofing companies, one of which was very aggressive and overpriced, Mitch from Capitol improvements came out to give me an estimate. Mitch’s customer service, demeanor, knowledge and professionalism let me know within 5 minutes that I would be using this company and their pricing and reputation online solidified it for us. We had to postpone the installment but the staff did an amazing job keeping in touch. Fast forward to this year, we were ready to take action. The process (picking colors, financing) was simple, the delivery and install was speedy, and they did a great job! My roof looks great and I adore the new gutters! They put on a new roof years ago and used them again. They replaced our old front porch columns and railing with vinyl. Replaced old tile kitchen floor with a floating laminate one and re did and expanded our back deck. Jason was great to work with. We had two Walter crews working. Walter and his guys went above and beyond doing the deck and porch.
