We just wrapped up a 2.5 week kitchen project with Tom and his team and can't say enough good things about the experience. We previously worked with Tom on a small project and he was the first person we contacted when we decided to refresh our kitchen. He was extremely responsive when we reached out and quickly met with us to discuss the work we wanted done, pull a quote together, etc. Once we signed our contract, he got our project scheduled and on the calendar within a few weeks - he was straightforward about the timeline and gave us a very detailed breakdown of what work would be completed each day. Tom kept in contact with us frequently as work was completed to provide updates and discuss any concerns. Everything was completed on time and we are so happy with how our kitchen turned out! We hired Tom and his team to do drywall repair and painting of most of the ceilings, walls, and trim in our house. They also installed a powder room on our lower level, finished our laundry space and installed new flooring in our kitchen. We had an absolutely wonderful experience with Tom and his whole team and we are extremely happy with the results.Tom is incredibly organized and has great communication skills. We hired T.W. Spinks for an addition on our home. Tom listened to what we wanted and came up with a great design for our new living space. He worked with us on all details, such as flooring, paint colors, and even made some great suggestions we hadn't considered.His team only works on one job at a time, so we had to wait a few weeks before construction began. But once they got started, Tom and his team moved quickly! He stayed in constant contact about progress and when different contractors (electric, HVAC, plumbing) would be present to perform their installations. His crew cleaned up the space prior to leaving each day.We couldn't be happier with the work Tom and his team performed. We would definitely consider working with T.W. Tom and his crew just finished a powder room for us. It turned out beautifully! It met all our expectations. Something I like about Tom's business is that he has specialists for each part of the project, i.e. plumber, electrician, drywall expert, painter, and floor installer, as opposed to one person completing multiple aspects of the project. Tom himself is very hands on, in terms of being present and supervising every day that work is happening. He gave us a timeline that he stuck to, so we knew how long the project would take before it even started. He is local to the Odenton area, so he is easily able to be on the job site. He has a great work ethic, which we really appreciated; he wanted the project to meet our expectations 100% before he would consider it finished. I highly recommend T. W. Spinks LLC, and we will definitely be using their services in the future.09/09/21Last week, Tom and his crew finished a second job for us. They completely redid an upstairs bedroom and, in our addition, they repaired drywall and painted. Tom was here every day supervising work, and his workers always arrive promptly. I have not one thing negative to say about my experience with TW Spinks. That's a rare occurrence when working with contractors. We live in a split-foyer and had the wall removed that divided the kitchen/dining/living room. They also completely gutted the kitchen and replaced the cabinets and flooring. It's now completely open and fits our large family much better. Their predictions on timing and the order of events were spot on despite what others said to expect, and even put the final touches on a day early. The entire process was laid out in detail prior to getting started and they stuck to it. Every detail was monitored by Tom himself and he wasn't afraid to make sure those doing the work knew what he expected. Tom is professional, personable, kind and respected by his team. If you need someone who will do the work right the first time and stand behind their work, then this company is it. Mr. Spinks and his crew are true craftsmen. He provides you a true estimate. I did not experience any additional costs. The guys were on time, they were professional and considerate. He provides an update as they go along and responsive to any questions I had. I am so happy with the quality of the work.They brought my deck up to code, put in an additional footing, repaired a water-damaged subfloor (correcting another company's work), damaged drywall near skylight and paint, and replace damaged rakeboard and paint.If I ever need anything done at my house again, I will be calling him. I cannot say enough good things about the quality, professionalism, and expertise of the work done by Mr. Spinks’s construction company. When I called him to consult about some kitchen projects my husband and I were considering, I was very apprehensive. First, Mr. Spinks called me back within about 3 hours of my leaving a voicemail on his phone! Unheard of! People don’t do this anymore!Second, we arranged an in home consult for him to visualize the nature of the projects and he came within 2 days. Third, we agreed upon the specifics ofdeal, and we had a contract in hand within about 3 more days. Everything Mr. Spinks said he would do was done when he said it would be done, and we agreed on a starting date in late winter-early spring. He explained every step of the way what we should expect and how long it should take. We were in no particular rush to have the projects done.The sub-contractors he used were equally excellentand professional, and he guided us through our choice of kitchen ceiling lights, faucet, sink, and granite countertops. We felt very comfortable with making all of these choices, because he was guiding us through them.Project Day finally arrived! He told us exactly what would happen each of the 4 days: how much time each day the workers would spend on the project, what exactly would be done, and when they would finish. He was there each and every day to check on the progress and oversee the project. Everything happened as he had said!Overall, I must say that 2 very anxious customers were 100% + pleasantly satisfied after going through what could have been a very stressful situation! Our satisfaction was so great because of the excellent professionalism and experience of TW Spinks!You will NEVER regret choosing his company for your project needs. Tom being well known in the Oakleigh Forest community, we had him do several major projects for us over the last 15 years. First he did windows, insulation and siding on our 2 story house. Then he made a beautiful sunroom from our roofed back porch, Then he installed a complete new roof. Then he did a remake of the master bath. Each of these was a major project and in each case he provided excellent service and PERFECT workmanship. He has a master carpenter whose skill is second to none, and an equally good drywall installer/finisher. Both are important to the finished product. All this comes at a fair and competitive price. As a person, Tom is a true gentleman and is fair and honest. I am happy to offer my sincere recommendation.

In April 2015, we had a complete bathroom remodel from the studs and subfloor out. Work was done on time and on budget, with top quality materials and workmanship. Mr. Spinks also responds promptly to questions and concerns and leaves the job site spotless at project completion. This was our third contract with T.W. Spinks.In 2014, we had Mr. Spinks do window and storm door replacements. Excellent work, no problems.In 2005, we had a home addition plus kitchen remodel. Job was done on time, on budget, and with great care and attention to detail. Materials used were of excellent quality. Would definitely use this contractor again.

We had T.W. Spinks remodel our basement, which was in dire need of repair. They exceeded our expectations, completing the job sooner than expected and created a great new rec room and laundry room. The finished areas look much better than we expected, with a lot of attention to details. Along the way, they found some things that should be fixed that weren't in the contract, such as the 52 year old staircase that had shifted over the years, but they went ahead and fixed (making them level and much stronger) at no additional cost. They perform first-class work at very reasonable prices, and are also a pleasure to work with. Thank you for the beautiful new areas!

T. W. Spinks Home Improvement recently installed art tiles in the Waugh Chapel Elementary School gym foyer. Each ceramic tile had been fired in the kiln at the school with an original clay stencil of student art work and proper installation was critical.The tile installation was superb and each piece was mounted professionally and carefully on the wall. The care and precision of their tile installation from inception to completion was flawless. Framed artwork was also installed into the block walls effortlessly. Tom Spinks upgraded my master and quest bathrms on the 3rd floor. Replaced all of my bi-fold doors with conventional doors. Upgraded my kitchen. Added a powder-room and storage closet on my 2nd floor. Installed hardwood treads, risers,and plateforms on all of my stairs. Opened up my hallways in 3 places and added decorative handrails and WI balusters. He also over saw the installations of hardwood floors on 2nd and 3rd floor, vinyl tile in kitchen, and porclein tile in master and quest bathrms. The workmanship was excellent. Tom and his crew are all professionals and completely trustworthy.
