Mr. Marvin Cardenas from BRAX roofing company did an estimate of roof replacement for my property. He did an excellent job inspecting the roofing condition. My 120 year old District historic row home without insulation needed a major rehab. Brax took over the project following difficulties with another, more expensive, contractor. They expertly coordinated permit approval with the historic preservation office, repaired termite damaged studs, added insulation, James Hardie siding on two sides, and historically compatible wood on the front facade. The house emerged stronger, efficient, more graceful, and ready for her next chapter. The construction crew worked efficiently, and I haven't found a stray nail yet. Boris checked in regularly throughout. Brax truly impressed at a fair price. I highly recommend.

Had (2) leaking Skylights. After getting (4) quotes, I decided that BRAX provided the best details on the work to be completed estimate and cost quote based on work to be completed for replacement of the (2) Porch Roof Skylights. Pictures were provided showing the entire process from beginning to end. The outcome showed their excellent quality of work and professional experience. I felt the completed work was better than the original Skype installs and very happy with the results. Brax roofing was extremely professional and helpful throughout the entire process. I had damage on my roof and there was leaking at some areas. I called 4 roofing companies before I got to Brax roofing. A gentleman named Chris came to my property within a week and inspected the roof and determined that it’s aged and not holding up well. I placed a claim through my insurance company and Chris assisted when the adjuster came to check the roof. In the end I was able to get a new roof from the insurance company and Brax helped throughout the entire process.I put a 1/3 deposit down and they scheduled to put a new roof within 2 weeks. They have a workmanship and roof warranty as well!! I got the platinum level of Owens Corning because I wanted a long lasting roof and shingle. Edit to my review after trying to do business with them again a couple years later. My original 5⭐️ review at the bottom…I had a slow leak in my roof. They came by to look at it and the short of it is that they were extremely slow to respond even after I called to ask for an update. I mean months later I heard from them…at which point I had already went with another company to replace my entire roof. I will say they are friendly and professional on the phone and in person. If they are overbooked and can’t get to me, I understand. But I wish they would have just told me that in the first place so I didn’t waste my time with calls and appointments and an ongoing leak in my roof.I had my siding replaced by Brax Roofing this summer. I highly recommend this company. They sent someone out quickly for a free estimate, they worked with my homeowners insurance to get everything approved. I’m really happy with the end result and they worked with me on some hiccups along the way. Their customer service is really exceptional, everyone I dealt with at all times was fair and extremely polite.

We had a major leak after a storm and all the family was stressed out! It was also our first time having a leak and did not know how to deal with it! Brax was referred to us by a Contractor Friend and they exceeded all expectations! They were honest, kept all their promises! They were prompt, they checked out the leak within one hour of us calling! The work they have done went over and above, their was a dish on the roof that was not being used they dismounted the dish and took it with them at no extra cost, they did a lot of small stuff (details) at no extra cost, as if it was their own house! We used BRAX Roofing for a replacement of our 30 year old roof. The project also included improvements to our attic ventilation, replacement of a 30 year old skylight and a minor repair to vinyl siding on our house. Our project expert was Chris Sousa who guided us through the possible solution, the products involved and details of the work needed.For the roof overall, Chris offered products from Owens Corning at three price points/quality levels. Chris walked us in detail through each product to be used, color options, and explained how they related to the different pricing levels. We selected the Platinum level which included top level materials and a 50 Year Product/25 Year Workmanship warranty. Of note, the Warranty is fully transferable to the next owner and is underwritten by Owens Corning. The roof solution included installation of a ridge vent and related ventilation improvements.During the assessment of our roof, Chris noted the age of our current skylights. We opted to replace the 30 year old Velux skylight. This decision was easy since BRAX is a certified Velux installer.Finally, we had Chris look at some minor damage to our vinyl siding caused by a fallen tree limb. Chris offered replacement of two vinyl panels and was able to match the color of the existing siding.The roof replacement project was completed over two days with minor tasks such as the replacement of the two vinyl siding pieces scheduled separately. During the project, I principally worked with Daniel who scheduled the work and provided status, and Marvin who came on site to verify all work was to my satisfaction. Marvin was instrumental in ensuring that all details were completed. The work teams that came to our house during the replacement project were professional, courteous, efficient and expert in every aspect. The teams cleaned the area of debris each day, with the thorough site cleanup the final day.We feel we paid a fair price for exceptional products and service. Brax's rep, John Stevens, was very nice, professional and patient. Among many roofers I contacted, Brax ended up the one offering the most sensible solution for my leaky porch covering, and it is not a costly solution. The team came and did a very nice job as proposed and written. The work was performed within the time estimated.On the day of installation, they were here around 7am. At 4pm i came back home and they were all done and in process of cleaning. Avoid BRAX Roofing like the plague. The representative came to see me on Monday around 12:00 noon. First he asked me if I wanted to do my roofing job under the table. That sent up a red flag. He said he would send me a quote by evening. He didn’t. After 2 days I tried contacting him by email. I texted him. I called the office. He ghosted me for atleast 5 days. By that time I had gotten another quote from another roofer. The other roofer was more expensive but it is the principle of the thing. Avoid Brax Roofing like the plague.

If you want quality and you are putting a roof on a home that you plan to own for >15 years, you should consider Brax.I was recently talking with a Tesla contractor who was a former roofer and was there to patch some leaks due to recent rainy weather. I had been arriving to the conclusion that there were too many leaks and it would be better to replace the roof altogether. His company was unable to do roof replacements, but he said if I ever consider getting another roof to consider Brax.His reasons: if you intend to stay in your home long term, it makes fiscal sense to pay for pristine installation & best-quality architectural shingles. Could I save a few thousand $$ by getting cheaper shingles? Definitely. Could I save money by using a general-services contractor who doesn't specialize in roofs? Possibly, and that is certainly what the last owner of this house did about five years ago, and here I am plugging leaks (and ultimately replacing) his or her shoddy installation. I repeat: this leaky roof is about five years old. Bad investment.The Brax installation process was amazing. It was a crew of six, all incredibly friendly and professional. We have a large roof; at the outset they weren't sure if it was a one or two-day job - they finished in one 12-hour day. The finish and appearance are amazing. Every seam is sealed with thick roofing caulk. Every edge and valley is undercoated with water and ice barrier. The drip edge overhangs are precisely correct. All of the roof vents and chimney are flashed, caulked and wrapped with aluminum that matches the shingle cover (see attached photo).Very happy that I made the decision to go with Brax. I would encourage anyone needing a new roof to get a quote from them.

BRAX roofing is one of the best companies I've ever had work on my house. Once we set up a time for someone to inspect the job, the person came on time, explained everything and answered my questions. When I reviewed the proposal, I had several questions which were answered promptly by phone or email. A few days before the scheduled installation of my new roof, they brought cones so I could block 2 parking spots in front of my house. We've had a recurring leak coming from somewhere in our roof, and previous attempts to address it haven't worked. We reached out to a few roofing companies, and BRAX was exactly what you'd want for this type of service. They responded immediately, offered to have someone come by and take a look in the next day or so. He quickly pointed out a few issues, but also noted that the rest of the roof was in good shape. Got a very reasonable estimate within a day of that first visit, and had the crew out within a week of that. They did a great job, replacing some flashing and shingles, and seemed to take a lot of care in the job. Very impressed at the quality of work and the communication throughout. Brax roofing was the right choice for our project. We got three estimates from different contractors and they were not the cheapest but the service and attention to detail was unmatched. We even had a miscommunication about what happens to the inside of the skylights they changed since they have to raise them and they were willing to pay part of the cost for refinishing the drywall.My only criticism would be related to another set of skylights that thy replaced. They left the undulation drywall protector untouched because it was outside of their scope but we would have liked to fix it before the replacement took place or at least have the awareness of knowing that it was going to be like that.Services: Gutter installation, Skylight installation, Roof installation

Brax Roofing recently replaced two skylights on the roof of our enclosed porch that were leaking. They did a thorough inspection of the skylights, shingles, and underlayment and provided us with before and after pictures, keeping us informed during each step of the process and addressing all of our questions and concerns. They determined the entire porch roof did not need to be re-shingled and only replaced what was necessary around the skylights, which was a substantial savings.
