I bought my home from people who had it built, and Dan from Ameri-star was very helpful in getting an issue (that is common of new homes) fixed for me and he probably could have had me pay for it but he took care of it! We recently took delivery of our house that Ameristar built on our existing lot. They completed our house a month early and under budget!! I am especially pleased with the quality of the construction and the responsiveness of the entire team from demolition of our old home through delivery was excellent. We originally were going to try and do a major renovation on our small older home and came to the realization that we could build a new home for similar cost and have an entirely new product built like we wanted it. Recommend highly!

Ameristar is really good at building houses. During my framing walkthrough, my home inspector that I hired said it was one of the best framing jobs that he had seen in 30 years. However, that’s where my good experience ended and my bad experience started.From the first day in my home, my backyard would completely flood out during heavy rainfall and have several inches of standing water in it. Over the course of the following year, I had to keep repeatedly contacting Ameristar to try to get them to do something about my backyard, only for them to eventually tell me that they would not do anything or reimburse me for any contractors I hired to fix it because the water receded within 24 hours.They also decided to pick and choose what they were going to fix on my one year punch list. Most of my kitchen cabinets were hung by only two screws instead of the recommended minimum of 4. The project manager said that he would not fix and “the cabinets weren’t coming down.” Ameristar would also not fix defects in kitchen countertops or appliances because I didn’t mention it when they turned the house over to me. Isn’t the point of the one year punch list to live in the house, find issues as you go, and get them addressed as needed??? None of my wooden exterior door thresholds were painted. Ameristar said the painter would paint them, but the painter came and said they don’t do that. Unlike the statement on their website, I was not 100% satisfied with their service and felt like I was ignored or left hanging on many occasions.

Ameristar made our home building experience very pleasant from start to finish! They were very responsive and professional throughout the whole process. We are very pleased with how everything turned out! They even finished our house earlier than expected which was a wonderful surprise. From the owner to the site superintendent, they are dedicated to making you happy. The entire production team manages the project from stop to finish. Even the owner actively manages the jobs and visits your build almost every day to ensure things are going to plan. They truly care about what they do.Building a house is a huge project that includes actively managing 20+ subcontractors. Mistakes do happen, they are inevitable. However, Ameristar takes ownership of them and makes things right. Every time. Even when it hurts their pocket.
