Dave Hamilton with Petra Contactors did an incredible job with rebuilding our home after we had a fire two years ago. It was an extensive project that needed the house almost entirely gutted and was complex due to the age of the home, but Dave did a great job with the property.

Petra is renown to have great ownership and awesome employees. I needed a whole section of fence repaired when I was selling my home, and Petra came out and put in a whole new section of fence is just a few days. They even repaired another fallen section that I didn't bring up! I definitely will be going with them with any home repairs or remodeled that I have in the future.

We had Petra Contracting update bathrooms, enclose a porch and make other improvements to bring our 1970 home into the 21C!We are more than pleased as they also came with high recommendations from at least 7 quality jobs for neighbors and friends. .It took longer than I thought to get the full estimate, but we waited our turn as they were heavily booked. It was worth the wait.Matt, our amazing project manager, somehow wove a program of when their very good subs would be coming. He kept me informed about who to expect and when. The minuet of scheduling necessary work was carefully done and very much appreciated.I never dreamed, in this day and age, this could go so smoothly after all the horror stories one hears. Matt and Petra did what they said they would do and did it in a first class manner.We join our friends and neighbors in highly recommending Petra.

Matt groves and his crews at Petra do excellent work. He coordinated with the electric and cable companies to expedite putting up a new pole after it had been knocked down by a tree. They needed all of the wire issues solved before they could put a whole new roof on my garage (a large two story, two car building).The carpenters, roofers, gutter folks, and painters all did great work.Matt was at expert at coordinating it all, and working directly with the insurance company about fluxuations in cost and the job. Five stars to Petra!

We had a fire! We put our trust in Matt Groves from Petra. He was a G-d sent! He knew exactly what needed to be done. He worked with us and in our budget. He had some awesome suggestions for "important" upgrades which were necessary but always mindful of not wasting any money.I would go with Matt and Petra for my next job in a heart beat. I am speaking from my heart! Matt is a really cool guy!

The contracting services from Petra were excellent. Our project manager Mark Carder was friendly, available, professional, and helpful. The various subcontractors that they arranged for our project (roofing, painting, flooring, and packing) were each excellent.The project actually took LESS time than we had anticipated and was done beautifully. Most of the project was related to damage to the house in a storm, and Petra worked very hard to secure insurance coverage from our homeowner’s insurance, applying for supplements when additional needs were discovered. We added a couple of extra small jobs of our own, ontop of the work to repair the damage and the subcontractors executed that beautifully as well. Prices were all reasonable and fair. We will return to the excellent contracting services of Petra for any future project in our home!

Mark Carder was our Contract lead, and he made the whole process as painless as possible!! He was extremely friendly, worked with us on what we needed done in conjunction with our insurance and his people did quality work! We needed our sub flooring replaced due to water damage, and i thought it was going to be a nightmare. But, Mark and Petra did a wonderful job!

The Petra team did a superior job on our kitchen remodel from the estimation and initial advice (Keith) about our kitchen project which included tearing down an entire wall thorough the last step of hooking up our ice maker for our refrigerator. It was a delight to work with Brad, our excellent project manager, and our wonderful team of professional builders and skilled craftsmen. Efficient and always on time, all subcontractors were friendly, helpful, and cleaned up after each day’s work. We could not be happier with the speed of the project and final results. I would highly recommend Petra Contractors Inc. We have used them a couple times and very pleased with their work both times. This most recent time, our home gym had water damage. It was a complicated repair due to needing to remove our gym equipment. They found a company that could take apart our circuit gym and our smith machine and take it somewhere for storage until the walls and wall of mirrors were replaced. They selected a quality painter, carpet layer, dry wall, and installer of a new wall of mirrors. It was alot of coordination on their part. They treated our home like it was theirs. Every person that worked on our project was top notch and our gym looks better than new. Highly recommend them.

During natural disasters, you want to know your contractors can be trusted. Within an hour of a tree falling into our home, Petra was there and served us with care and professionalism until the job was done. Dave was an exemplary project manager, lending is expertise in the most patient and caring way. His guidance in everything from dealing with the insurance company to subcontractors made a horrible situation bearable. I’d recommend Petra again!

Petra told my insurance company water damage was mitigated properly when it wasn’t. Copious amounts of mold were found behind my drywall due to water damage from my claim not being mitigated properly. Petra wanted to paint over the moldy walls and not remove them. Petra insisted that the water damage was mitigated properly and no additional work was needed. It was extremely stressful getting a fair settlement due to Petra giving a wrong recommendation to my insurance company. I feel their estimators are either incompetent or dishonest.I had insisted to Petra that I needed a 2 ft flood cut. Petra was hard on not needing to remove the extra drywall which made it extremely difficult to prove it needed to be removed.Below are the pictures of the mold Petra wanted to paint over. I feel if I had went with Petra’s quote that the mold would have continued to grow and could have ruined my house.Keep in mind most insurance contracts only cover $10-15k in mold remediation. If I didn’t fight to readjust for a fair settlement, this mold caused by water damage could have taken over my house and I wouldn’t have been covered anymore than an insignificant amount to get it fixed .

I contacted Petra after finding a water leak. Petra immediately came out and discovered the shower stall was leaking. Long story short, the damage was much more extensive then what I had initially thought. The whole bathroom had to be redone along with repairing damage to the finished basement below it. Thankfully, Petra was able to handle everything from start to finish including dealing with the insurance company.

Petra Contractors:We have used Petra Contractors for over 15 years. We first learned of the company when our insurance company recommended them for wind damage repair which the insurance company was going to cover. Petra has replaced damaged shutters, sidling, all exteriors' doors and frames, replaced French door which required cutting into the house (door was larger than the original one). They have painted the outside of the house twice. Outside lights were also replaced. Most recently (November 2023) replaced the entry door. The door ended up being custom made with sidelight s with glass. The door is beautiful. So many have stopped by and commented on the door. Not only has all of the work been excellent, but it has also been monticules. The door insulation was outstanding. The inside of the house wall also had to be re-painted, and molding replaced. This is the only contractor we have used. We’re thinking of having a four-season room addition put on within the next two years. Please consider using this company.

I had a roof problem and my house flooded back in November. By the time it came to hiring a contractor to do the mitigation and remodeling, I was already fed up with dealing with the insurance company. A friend recommended Petra and I’m glad they did. My project manager Brad was very responsive...any time I called him he picked up, and he kept me informed every step of the way. House turned out great, thanks to Petra. Thank you Petra Contractors, Dan & Brad for the amazing job you did on our house. When no other contractor would even call us back, they were very responsive. They came to our house the day after we called to assess the damage, sent us a contract the following day and we had a signed contract by the end of that week. And they continued that customer service throughout the entire job. I felt so comfortable with the decisions they helped me make and it was always in my best interest. They worked with our insurance company on the insurance logistics, hired the sub contractors and helped us remodel our entire home. Some of the work done was not even in their scope, but they still helped with the scheduling. From the electrician to the plumber to the drywall and beyond, I could not have been more pleased with the outcome. My house looks amazing. Thanks so much Brad for always being there for me in this very difficult time in our lives. Displacing an entire family is stressful enough and you made the process of rebuilding a pleasure!!
