My experience with Top Step Development was wonderful from start to finish. When I reached out for an estimate, John quickly got back to me with a price and once I ordered my flooring he set a date for the installation and answered every question I had along the way. They were highly recommended from Baltimore Floor Works where I put purchased my flooring. The installation went as planned and Caleb did an amazing job with the floor even managing to install along my curved fireplace with such precision. It looks beautiful and I couldn’t be happier with Top Step Development’s work.

Top Steps recently installed 1100 sq ft of LVP over 30 yr old hardwood. From start to finish I can’t say enough great things about this company. John promptly came out, measured, gave me an estimate and answered all my concerns. Caleb did the install. I was so impressed. Caleb is so professional, clean, organized and takes pride in his work. At the end of the day when he finished I could never tell he was in the house he cleaned everything up. I honestly can’t say enough great things about the finished product. I love my new floors! I feel like I am walking into a new home.

Adam did a fantastic job remodeling my steps! It was a difficult project because I live in an older home and nothing is level, the steps are between two walls and very steep. However, he figured out a way to fix them and make them look new again. They look beautiful, they’re sturdy and level now. He was very responsive, got me an estimate promptly after coming out to measure and fit me in his schedule very quickly. It’s hard to find people who do such meticulous work and Adam is extremely talented!

Top Step came highly recommended by Baltimore Floor Works to install the solid hickory flooring we had selected for 4 rooms. We were looking for a craftsman who would take care to protect the custom wainscoting on our walls. We had a few installers come out and Adam's approach and obvious professionalism impressed us. Ultimately, Top Step delivered a beautiful final product. At the same time, they also installed a gorgeous new custom hickory stair railing to match the floor, and mirror the style of the existing wainscoting. Overall, we couldn't be happier with the whole project that was delivered exactly on time and on budget. And the wainscoting is completely unscathed. We honestly could not be happier with our experience with Top Step Development. Our project involved converting the wall-to-wall carpeting on the stairs and a good portion of the upstairs. Adam clearly communicated the plan and schedule, and everything was done right on schedule and budget. The end result is nothing short of spectacular! We were very impressed by Adam's punctuality, workmanship, and attention to detail. When the job was finished, the new floors were spotless, and there was no mess. My wife and I are so glad that we chose Top Step Development to install our new hardwood floors. It was clear from the moment Adam arrived at our house to give us the estimate that he was a true professional. He explained the entire process and answered all of our questions.When we agreed to the estimate, he gave us a start date for the project. It was important to us that it be completed on time because we had a party planned for just two weeks after the completion date. Knowing how home improvement projects can get delayed, my wife and I were a little concerned. But Adam told us that with the flooring in stock, he would make certain the project was completed to meet our schedule.He also said that while he might have someone help him do the demolition on the first day, that he would be the person installing the floors - it was not going to be subcontracted to someone else. And Adam arrived every day on time and worked in a very professional manner. They helped us choose flooring types for our new Carroll County home, made suggestions that helped us manage price, and anticipated design and presentation questions. Getting ready to sell our house, my husband and I were debating giving some cosmetic attention to the stairway and floors. We called Adam at Top Step development. It worked out that we hired him and asked for some kind of "wow" change. He and Caleb went to work and did their magic.They knocked out the walls and put new railings up and stair treads, as well as new flooring. Made custom stain for the trim and stair treads to match the flooring. Not only were they doing an excellent job, they were very professional, on time, and cleaned up any debris in their work area.Top Step Development gave us the "WoW" factor we were looking for, which increased the value of our home. It's now very open and inviting to anyone that uses the front door. The only problem is, it has made it hard for us to leave because of how nice it is.
