NLT Construction / Dave Cedrone did an excellent job installing a new bathroom, from scratch in my finished basement including plumbing, electrical, tiling, drywall and painting. I highly recommend Dave and would easily hire him again for any home improvement work I have in the future.As this was my first major home improvement project, I started out asking friends for recommendations of contractors they have used in the past. Dave was the only one recommended without them mentioning any drawbacks. He certainly lived up to that reputation on my project.When I first met with Dave to discuss my project I told him I needed a reliable contractor who wouldn’t nickel and dime me with extras as the project went on and who would work non-stop on the project once they started. Dave, his crew and recommended contractors did exactly that, showing up on time each and every day until the project was completed on schedule and on budget.I was initially concerned about Dave’s model of charging just for labor and materials while I contracted directly with the subcontractors. But, Dave’s recommended contractors were excellent and he scheduled and managed their work and, also, delivery of building supplies. He even arranged for me to get replacement parts for two items from the plumbing supplier that were defective (from the manufacturer, not Dave) when delivered. Dave coordinated every step of the project from the signing of the contract until its completion. I now see Dave’s model as a benefit for its transparent pricing and the better contact I had with the subcontractors.Throughout the project communication with Dave was outstanding. He responded very quickly to texts or emails. He checked on the job most every day and I often spoke with him then, too. Both Dave and his crew were friendly, polite and easy to communicate with. This all added to my confidence that they would (and did) reliably complete the project as I wanted.Without any hesitation, I recommend NLT Construction.

Dave and his crew just completed a new deck and patio for us, and they really exceeded our expectations by finishing AHEAD of schedule! They were meticulous in their work and creative when they ran into issues related to our home's foundation. The new deck is solid and beautiful, and the rain system they installed works perfectly. We recently hosted an outdoor birthday party; it rained the entire time, but we were able to stay outside and dry on the patio. We've used the deck almost daily since it was installed 8 weeks ago. His crew did a wonderful job with the kitchen addition and remodel, including the tile backsplash, as well as laying tile in the powder room and adding a patio area underneath the deck. NLT added a 13'x14' room off of our existing kitchen. The whole NLT team was exceptional to work with and I'm so pleased with the beautiful space we've been able to add to our home. Dave was always responsive and on top of things, making for a surprisingly smooth experience despite the unpleasant surprises that tend to pop up in a construction project of this size. Dave's team was professional and easy to work with, as were the subcontractors. Danny did a great job with the foundation work despite our property being particularly challenging to navigate. Pricing was transparent and reasonable. We hired NLT Construction for a full remodel of our kitchen, including moving a wall. This was our second big project with them, and it will not be our last. We live in an older & small-ish house in Towson MD and needed a kitchen that would give us the best use of space possible without building additions. Dave's design worked out perfectly - moved our dining room wall over, removed most of the wall, and built a beautiful archway as a transition between the rooms. And our new cabinets utilize every inch of available space. He and his team are responsive, professional, and surprisingly affordable for the quality of workmanship. My husband is VERY particular about construction, carpentry and finish work, and he refuses to work with any other contractor. Dave is so easy to work with, I now consider him a good friend. I look back at it all to my initial sketches for a garage addition to house my classic car and I even constructed a scale model. Dave skillfully translated my sketches into highly precise plans. I am absolutely delighted how it all came together. It exceeded all my expectations. The sub-contractors were all experts and had pride in their work. Danny did an excellent job with the foundation and the concrete slab. It was 12 x 37 with a perfect surface. Dave's carpenter crew displayed an enviable level of craftsmanship. They really know what they are doing. I could see they also obviously enjoyed their work and went above and beyond to accommodate any of my suggestions/requests, while offering their own clever improvements. The estimates given for all sub-contractors were well within the final costs, and overall, even though lumber prices had doubled, did not exceed the total estimate. I could not be more delighted with the result. I strongly recommend Dave Cedrone, his crew, and NLT. I would hire them again in heartbeat.

We came to NLT Construction from a personal recommendation and the positive reviews of a long-standing business. A partial upgrade to our main bathroom was in order before we took on a full kitchen renovation.Dave Cedrone fully explained the steps involved and expectations between him, his crew, and ourselves upon entering into a contract. The project would be a good start with an untried contractor as it wouldn’t be as involved as the kitchen, with completion in two weeks’ time.We contracted Dave and the same crew a few months later for a full gut kitchen renovation with a revised layout and new windows. I was surprised to hear this more involved job would be completed in three weeks’ time. Sure enough, 21 days from the start date, I was enjoying a fully cooked at home meal instead of takeout. For both projects, as our home is 140yrs old, unlevel, not plumb or square, any potential influences were fully discussed and thought out beforehand.Dave does a fantastic job managing and scheduling all necessary trades involved in the renovations to keep to the quoted timeline. Communication is always prompt. The crew is fully capable and skilled. They have a full day work ethic, take pride in their exactness and believe in correct construction practices. All trades involved have well established relationships with NLT Construction. My 3rd major reno with Dave Cedrone went just as smoothly and professionally as the first two. My primary reasons for re-hiring Dave areHe responds quickly to calls, texts or emails.He has a perfect sense of how long the job will take. He has been correct, to the day 3 out of 3 times. If he says 6 weeks to complete the job, it’s 6 weeks. Everyone shows up on time everyday.I have peace of mind that the job will be done right and that all the details are taken care of by anyone who works on the job. Dave follows through.He solves logistical issues with intelligence, presenting options. I tell Dave how I want the space to work and he tells me how we can do it.In the master, we gutted ALL down to studs, ceiling beams and concrete slab. Installed all new wiring and electric, quality insulation, HVAC system, flooring (hardwood and tile), windows, drywall, and plumbing. Installed custom built-in, floor to ceiling cabinets on 2 full 12 foot wide walls, recessed floating nightstands and an alcove of drawers and compartments for additional storage. Created a laundry room in what had been a walk in closet.In the basement, we gutted the walls to the cinderblock and the floor to the concrete slab. New wiring, lighting and receptacles were added to make the space more functional. Installed insulation, drywall, bookshelves and carpeting.Dave’s crew is great! They are excellent at what they do and also kind, patient and show attention to detail. I have worked with the same team members 2 or 3 times. A few years ago we had Dave and NLT Construction come out to do a complete bathroom remodel, and when we needed our deck torn down and rebuilt, we knew who to go to. Dave spends a lot of time talking through the options and understanding what you want done. He and the crew do a great job and are proud of the work, making sure everything is done right. Dave is also very responsive if you have any questions.Our initial deck was three separate tiers, and we had it all torn down and replaced the top two tiers with a single tier and stairs down. We put up Timbertech Azek decking and the Trex RainEscape system. The deck is solid (the old one evidently didn't even have concrete footers...) and looks great. The only delays were pandemic-related (unusually long delivery times on appliances) and delays requested on my part for reasons having nothing to do with NLT. Once the job was scheduled, it proceeded smoothly and on time. Dave is thoroughly professional, easy to communicate with, extremely knowledgeable, and helped me through the entire process, including dealing with suppliers. I knew absolutely nothing about remodeling, and Dave answered innumerable questions from me and was always responsive to my concerns. With Dave's expertise and my ideas, he and I collaborated on a plan for the kitchen and when it was done, it looked exactly as I wanted it to look.

NLT Construction did two different projects for me in the Summer of 2023. The projects involved wall construction, wall finishing, custom wood shelving, custom cedar trim, exterior vents, etc. Both projects started and finished exactly on time, came in under budget, and the quality was excellent. Their drywall work is the smoothest I have ever seen. The finished carpentry was perfect and there was literally nothing at all to complain about. Dave at NLT had some creative solutions to some unique problems. My house required a new basement stairwell drain with dedicated sump pump, replacement of moldy and rotted basement baseboards, front porch railing, vinyl siding, and back deck replacement. No financial surprises as he kept costs and materials (receipts provided) under the estimate. Never knew I would one day say “I have a beautiful garage!”.We first met with Dave while we were in the middle of a kitchen remodel with a different contractor. He was kind enough to spend time with us reviewing their work on multiple occasions, and gave us feedback on things that were done well and not so well so as to be corrected. Dave is the best contractor I’ve worked with. We had him redo our kitchen, and appreciated him and his team at every level: his attention to detail, his detailed meeting notes, the ideas he contributed to the project, modifications along the way, his general positive and fun attitude, and his responsiveness and professional approach. His team is also excellent, taking great care to protect non work areas and clean up every day. They stuck to a good schedule and got the work done in a timely fashion.We had originally got a quote from him for some basement work, too. We ended up going with the cheaper guy and really regretted it: costs mounted, weeks went by without work, etc. We ended up having Dave finish some of it. Remodeling is the kind of job where you get (and have to live with) what you pay for. We really like Dave’s model of charging just for labor and not upselling on materials or subcontractors. Straightforward and honest, and to be frank, I think the bottom line ends up not being that much more. Can’t recommend him enough.

Dave at NLT has done three jobs for me over the past several years, including an enclosure, with a metal roof, for basement steps, converting a large screened porch to a 3 season porch and changing the existing roof pitch, installing a new roof and replacing all of the existing windows with custom sized windows on an accessory apartment adjacent to my home.On the porch conversion I wanted to keep the exposed wood on the inside while making the exterior maintenance free. All of the windows needed to be custom sized.
