I just bought a house in January. Shortly after I moved in there was a water leak. The plumber confirmed my bathtub needed to be replaced. I obtained 6 different estimates. I selected Ascension Home Contractors to perform the work because Jimmy was thorough in his estimate, and explained everything involved, and his company had positive reviews. Ascension did a nice job with the work. The bathroom remodel turned out great. He replaced the tub with a high quality cast iron tub (which I bought), his guys did a good job with the tile work, and they installed a new window too which looks great. Over the past 5 months, I've received a lot of compliments from people onsite and online with the bathroom renovation. I recommend Ascension for remodeling projects and I'll keep them in mind for future work as well.Services: Home renovations, Bathroom remodeling

In October of this year, I had an issue with plumbing – water started leaking from my bathroom to the bathroom of the apartment below. Our neighborhood technician, who is also a friend, evaluated the problem and asked to contact an outside contractor to have the problem fixed and recommended Ascension Home Contractors, LLC, i.e. Jimmy and his team. I called, and luckily for me, Jimmy was available to come and take a look almost immediately. … Fast-forward, I agreed to hire Jimmy to remodel my entire bathroom. Firstly, because my bathroom was begging for it, and it was time to deal with it. Second, because Jimmy seemed like a decent guy, he listened to my concerns and reassured me that he and his team would work around my work schedule and the renovation would stay within my budget.Renovation projects can be stressful. But it wasn’t in my case, because thanks to Jimmy and his team, I didn’t have to deal with it a lot. Jimmy planned, organized, prioritized, and managed my expectations very well. They even picked up my online orders from Home Depot and Floor and Décor. I hired Ascension to install a new front and back door to my home. Jimmy came as a stellar recommendation from a friend, and I'm glad I hired him. The day of installation Jimmy and his assistant were swift, thorough and clean. If any issues surfaced they did great problem solving on the spot. When they left I was left with beautiful, professionally installed doors, and they left everything spotless. An issue arose with my back door in which they would have to come at a later time to finish painting the job, and five months later when it was finally resolved, Jimmy came back promptly and completed it. I cannot recommend a better local contractor than Ascension Home Contractors.

Awesome Company, great Price, they came 7am in the morning to re-do my roof got it done in a few hours, removed the old roof(had two layers) change a few pieces of plywood that need it replace and re did my roof, very professional, by the time they left it was like they were never there Highly recommended company!!!

I had a fantastic experience with Ascension Home Contractors. They completely updated a basement bedroom (including enlarging the room and adding a closet) and basement utility room. The estimate and final price after change orders were very reasonable. The project was completed right on time with the initial time estimate as well. Jimmy and his crew were very professional, on time, and clean. I will certainly look to Ascension for future home projects given how positive of an experience I had. Jimmy and his electrician rewired my ENTIRE three story house in about three weeks *while my toddler and I were still living there.* They did this by fishing out the old wires through small holes and then pulling the new wiring through. It was like arthroscopic surgery on my house! When I came home from work in the evening, everything was almost exactly as I had left it in the morning, with almost all of the outlets and ALL appliances still functional. Jimmy did a great job of communicating with me about the process and was especially attentive to permitting and inspection: everything was done the right way. When they were done, they patched up the little holes perfectly and took great care to match the existing paint. Jimmy also fixed my trash can cupboard and installed a new exterior door for my basement while he was doing the electrical work! Highly recommend!Services: Paint indoors, Drywall repair

Jimmy was very responsive from the beginning. His bid was also very reasonable and he does not nickel and dime you-- he's willing to make some changes and additions here and there. Jimmy just renovated my 1909 kitchen for me, and I couldn't be happier! He and his team were very easy to work with, clean, respectful, and fun to work with, and the results are beautiful! He definitely went above and beyond a few times too... like when my plumber (not his guy) went into my vacant apartment in the middle of the night without permission, and caused a flood into the lobby of my building (that's a completely separate review - Don't hire Patrick Griffin). As soon as Jimmy discovered what happened, he sprang into action, mitigating damages and resolving the plumbing problem himself. He is an extremely knowledgable general contractor, which is what you want when doing a home renovation - since you never know what issues might arise! I liked him so much, I'm hiring him again to redo my bathroom. Thank you, Jimmy!

Jimmy and his team dug out our front yard and installed full sized egress windows. They found us an architect to draw up plans for permits and handled the whole process with DCRA.
