I would not hesitate to recommend Stephen Lewis Barrett Contracting for any home project. He is professional, knowledgeable, caring and reliable. He goes the extra step. For example, I had a window that lost it’s seal and he suggested a company that could replace the window sash at a fraction of the cost to replace the whole window. He replaced leaking skylights on my sunporch and showed me that the previous installer did the wrong kind of installation leading to the leaks. He came promptly when I had another problem with my roof and fixed it. With Stephen Barrett you are going to get exceptional quality and extremely caring service.

The idea of buying a new roof was a daunting task to me for a number of reasons. Roofs are expensive. I had no knowledge of what was important, what I needed to look for, or what to ask for in purchasing a new roof for my house. My son suggested that I get several estimates with reputable roofers. My friend cautioned me to be sure the estimates I sought were comparable, meaning the materials used were alike. He explained to me that a good company will back up their product with a warranty guaranteeing the workmanship, materials, and my satisfaction.Beginning the process of finding the right roofer, I reached out to three well know companies and requested roof replacement estimates. One company scheduled to meet me at my house one evening and for 90 minutes, explain his company’s process/product. Another company took my information over the phone and emailed me an estimate. Stephen was able to generate a proposal in response to my request then emailed me a roof replacement estimate/contract.Even though all three companies used GAF (General Aniline & Film) products, and came with a GAF System Plus Warranted Roof, the proposal from Stephen Lewis Barrett Contracting Inc. was considerably less than competitors.Once I had committed to Stephen Lewis Barrett Contracting Inc. for my roof installation, the process began. Stephen’s crew arrived on time, and within one day, my roof had been replaced, gutters secured, and my yard was cleaned of all roofing materials. The whole process could not have been made any easier, painless, or hassle free, and for that, I can thank Stephen Barrett. Professional courtesy, expedience, and a high quality of work I experienced throughout the roof replacement process are rare today in a world that sometimes forgets the human side of a business relationship. I have known Stephen Barrett for 25 years and his company does excellent work. They aren't the "Cheapest" company around, but they do the job right, and they do it extremely fast. I own a home improvement company myself, so I know better than to hire the cheapest company, it's always better to hire the best instead. Barrett Contracting is the best if you need a new roof, or want a completely honest opinion on your roofs condition!They installed a new roof and new gutters on my home 7 years ago and I have never had an issue with the work that they did. I refer all of my clients to them for roof replacements and roof repairs.
