We worked with Dara at Colleary Construction as a consultant for our home renovation project. Colleary Construction is owned by Dara Colleary who has many years of experience in the commercial and residential construction space. Dara brings his love of construction to each project which is evident in the finished product. He is highly passionate, hardworking and extremely detail-oriented. Although a general contractor, Dara has a strong sense of design with a focus on aesthetics and flow which he brings to each project. He is solution-oriented and is enjoyable to work with.

Dara worked with me as a consultant for a few renovation projects we had in mind for our old 1930s house. He was essay to connect with and arrived on time. Dara worked with my family on a major renovation and gut rehab of the two-family where we live. This was a large, complicated project with a lot of different parts -- creating a dry basement (which involved pouring a new floor and installing a French drain while keeping heating and hot-water systems running), work on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and other interior work. It also had an exterior component that included rebuilding exterior stairs, restoring a second-floor porch, repaving a driveway, creating a functional and beautiful exterior backyard space, painting, and more. During the process, Dara was totally effective in dealing with countless different subcontractors and coordinating all the work that they were all doing.Dara had a comprehensive plan for the project, and saw it through extremely effectively, on time, with a minimal disruption to our lives, and with fabulous results. What had been a wet basement hasn't had any problems even during major rains. Our house went from being the old one that needs help and looks a little weird to being one of the loveliest on the street -- and it was because of Dara's pride of craftsmanship and attention to detail.During the process, Dara was extremely communicative about what to expect and how to prepare for different phases of the project whenever we needed to know about anything. He's very conscientious and responsive.I wish a had a picture of the temporary hot-water heater that was hanging from the rafters of our basement while the old floor was being removed and the new floor was being poured -- it was a perfect example of how Dara oversaw the project so we could keep going with all our daily activities. You would never have known there was such a big job going on.Dara is great. We think the world of him and would absolutely work with him again!
