Capital is not the cheapest, nor most expensive. Excellent work crew did a fast and detailed job siding my 1950s ranch. Jeremy did outstanding communication and organizing work. Every question answered promptly. This firm made an appreciable effort to satisfy my concerns and deliver on the contract. Mike was flexible and helped ease the decision to go with Capital, which was the most I'd every spent on a housing repair. The office communicated well. You get what you pay for. I'm well satisfied with this project.

We had a fairly challenging third floor siding project on our home. With power lines on one side and my neighbors driveway on the other it was not an easy work site. The crew worked quickly and efficiently. All around communication was excellent and the work was completed and looks great. I would be confident working with Capital Construction on future projects.

From start to finish, excellent work! Brian, Jeremy and his crew were very clear in explaining what to expect and throughout the roof installation kept me informed of any issues that arose. I love my green roof. If you are looking for a construction company, Capital Construction is the best!

The craftsmanship and quality of the work is phenomenal. The extra effort these men did during freezing cold weather was commendable. We witnessed them being highly focused, detail oriented, and a meticulous manner in which they worked. We were very impressed by their teamwork and it was awesome to watch. Plus, they consistently asked us about the design of their work so that we would be satisfied with the finished product. We would definitely recommend these men from Capital Construction to all our friends and relatives.

At first, Barry made it sound so amazing. We felt so relieved that we found a great company. Or so we thought. After our roof was put in, we started having a leak from the small roof above my second floor. We have never ever had a leak in the 25 years we have owned the house. We called numerous times. We have left numerous messages. One person came out and said that it would be fixed and it has been 5 plus months. In the mean time, with all the rain we have been having. It’s still leaking and I’m afraid we now will have a mold problem.I wouldn’t recommend this company. They don’t fix any problem.

We had some challenges in the beginning with the sales person but Lou worked to straighten that out. Romero and his crew worked extremely hard to complete my roof. They worked until 8:45 P.M. to finish. I love my new roof. I highly recommend Capital Construction! Thank you!

We chose 5 stars after a new deck manager took over due to many delays and communication issues with the previous deck manager. After emailing the company, we were assigned a new manager and immediately the work took off. The workers did a fantastic job building the deck. They obviously took pride in their work. The new deck manager, Scott, was amazing and efficient. This is a rather pricy company but they stand behind their work and aim to please. The work is top quality and materials are top quality as well.

Worst company ever! I regret not doing my windows with homedepot and choose them instead. Poor communication! First they call me on a Tuesday out of no where that their crews was supposed to be working in my home that day with out any preview notification! But that she wants to know if they can change it for Thursday. I said well great cause we work and there no one at the house today. I took my day of Thursday so I can be home and they can work on my windows. They told me the crew was going to be home at 8 am. Send me a text at 6:45 saying your project it’s about to begin. I woke up and no one showed up till 9:30. Which I didn’t have any problem, capital construction KNEW! I had two big windows to work on and send one guy. That saw the two big windows on his truck knew he couldn’t do that work by himself but decide to come to my house to tell me that he has to come tomorrow cause the windows are too big and he can’t do the job by himself! So now I have to take ANOTHER day off just cause no body care to call and say we would send some to help or try to do the job on a later time but no make me to waste two day of work. I wish I could throw the contract away and never do business with that company. If you thinking an doing a project with them just think that you may have to go to the same. Shame on them

I don’t typically give reviews but the siding project I had done went from good to bad quickly. They were supposed to start the Monday the week before thanksgiving to remove all the siding and then wait for mass save to come out to install insulation. That didn’t happen. They came out the Friday before and ended up removing everything while the insulation company was there. Unfortunately we had some wood needing to be replaced, which we were forced into doing even though we didn’t have an extra $10k to spend on it. Our insulation never got finished because mass save couldn’t come out before the company started putting on the siding. Before they finished the project they were supposed to send someone out to go over financing the last 10k of stuff we needed, that never happened. Then we were harassed for weeks to pay the balance even though it was around Christmas time and both myself and my boyfriend were not working, so we were very tight on money.I am not bashing the guys working on the house, they did a very good job, but overall the experience was terrible with the contracting company. And on top of all of this, our brand new driveway was damaged. Part of it was they were supposed to protect it and they didn’t. So now I have to get my driveway fixed because of them. I’ve reached out to the company to get them to render this issue and they have stopped responding.I am just highly frustrated, even a month later.

I had James Harden shingles installed on the gable end of my house above a porch roof. The crew was very professional and did an outstanding job. They were met with challenges such as a layer of snow, but this did not deter them from their work. Job was completed in 3 days, and I could not be happier with the results. This is the third project that Capital Construction has done for me, and I could not be happier with the results. I was a builder back in the 1970s and I know quality, and this is quality work.

I am very pleased after Capital Construction replaced my roof, installed new siding, gutters and downspouts, and wrapped the soffit. My 2 family home is more appealing to look at now. The integrity of the work completed was really impressive and beyond my expectations. The workers were honest, skilled, hard-working, and met my every concern. At every phase, every decision, and detail was considered in order to make sure I was totally satisfied.

I am satisfied with the finished product and the subcontractors did a good job. My siding job was not supposed to begin until the spring but project manager started the job in January. When I first discussed the siding project with the sales rep I indicated my desire to start in the spring but that was not communicated to the PM. Now my yard in places is a muddy mess because of the rush to get the job completed. I saw my project manager before the job started and again after the job was completed. I have yet to see the permit and am glad someone from the town offices did not stop by as I did have the permit displayed. I will not use the company again because throughout the project I felt as if I was of no importance to your company.

The entire Team at Capital Construction was available to support our renovation ideas and financial needs since the beginning of the project. The communication style and timing was outstanding, together with the ability to address our feedback in all the stages of the project. Would certainly work with them again!

I had 2 rooms that were in desperately in need of painting, The 2 painters went above and beyond. The work was excellent. They completed the work in record time which included clean up. These painters are skilled and competent. I highly recommend them.

An excellent experience from start to finish. The project was clearly laid out, budgets and costs established early, progress reports during the work and a very professional review at the end including work with the town to close out permits. A special shout out to project manager Ramiro - a craftsman and gentleman!

We were left pretty disappointed about their no show this evening. I’m sure their Events Manager - - with whom we made the appointment and got a handwritten card confirming the date and time - will regale us with a “good excuse” in due course (if he bothers to respond to the email I’ve sent him), but it is remarkably inconsiderate that, when people plan to be in, these guys neither show up nor call to let us know they won’t be making it. Why spend the time and effort attending shows - we came across them at the Northeast Golf Show on Saturday- when you don’t bother to attend the appointments you set up? Needless to say, we won’t be using them.

I regret ever hiring this company. First they no show for a few appts with no calls. Finally reach to have someone come out. 2 doors a screen door and French doors in the back. Order comes in dropped by side of house. Days later a crew shows up and the door sizes are wrong. Project manager tried her hardest to get things done but crew was terrible. After they were installed still had light come from bottom of front door. Need a new frame. Now screen door is broke handle is off and does not close. Scott came out beginning of Feb to check. Says needs new part. Still waiting on part and it's now April.

They were quick to come out for an estimate and get a contract signed. After that, total disaster. I wanted steps built out of my new patio door. Everyone else I asked said it was a one person, one day type of job and it was not complicated (as explained by the guy that did the estimate). I never got a start date, i kept asking about it and all they said was they're waiting on the permits. I finally got a call 2 months later from a new project manager (new to the company) saying he was clearing up a clerical error at the ISD. Capital had filed the paperwork incorrectly, and never followed up on it. They said they'd start that week, on a Friday. They didn't show. Didn't show on Saturday. The materials were delivered to my house and left on the sidewalk 4 days before anyone actually came to work. I had to help the project manager move all that stuff into the yard. The subcontractors came on the Monday around 3pm. It gets dark around 4. they left a huge mess in my yard and only got the stringers attached. The didn't return the next day. It took over 4 days for 2 guys to get the steps built. They would also turn up unannounced or when not scheduled which is not ok.When I went out to look, measurements were off by INCHES, kick plates were not flush, posts were placed an uneven distance from the house, pieces of wood chunked under the riser where cement was supposed to be. They had actually installed the wrong materials, NOT what I had ordered. No one bothered to check the contract, notice that they'd delivered the wrong materials and just installed it anyways.Garbage was left all over my yard, they left 3 unused bags of cement on my patio. Only the new project manager could see the problems and made any effort at all to fix things. It's been since July and the steps are still not done properly. So many promises to come out and fix it but "something always comes up." They're demanding money, but the project is not complete. The person assigned to resolve my problems actually refused to answer my questions and phone calls. Not professional or mature at all. Subcontractors are not being held accountable for their substandard work. Will not hire again and will not recommend to anyone. Clearly, more recent reviews show that this is an ongoing issue with other projects. They don't offer discounts unless they can itemize specific tangible items, when they should have just eaten it for their multiple and repeated mistakes. The worst customer service experience ever, if any of them actually answer the phone. Entirely overpriced for the poor quality of work.

Very excited to use our new deck! Can't say enough about the professionalism and quality of work performed by the crew that came to our home. The attention to details and finishing touches enhanced the overall look. Everything was done on time and on budget.Service: Deck replacement

Don't even call for a quote! The salesman quotes an outrageously high price. $26,000 for 10 double hung windows and a bay in a mobile home! The other 3 quotes from other companies were between $14,000 and $18,000.Capital Construction salesman got mad and stormed out when I said I wouldn't sign the contract that day. Told me price was only good for that day😂 Also he said the windows would pay for themselves in 2 years....yeah right🤣But seriously don't even call.

The workmanship was just ok. They made promises that they did not keep. The price ofthe project kept going up. It took 8 weeks to have it completed. The lack of communicationwas very frustrating. I contacted the project manager, customer service manager and finally the CEO before I got any response to my questions.Overall just a terrible experience.Save your money and hire someone else.Service: Deck installation

I love the finish product but it took much longer then promised. When I signed the contact I was told the project would take two weeks to complete. It took your team six weeks to finish the job. I can see being of 50% or so but not 300%. Taking 3 times longer than I was told is not great customer service. Apparently there is a disconnect between your sales staff and your team doing the actual work.

I had two skylights and one bay window replaced. The quality of the work was very good, but the timelines and communication were poor. Original estimate for bay window was it would be ready for install in 6-8 weeks. Ended up being over 4 months. I had a hard time getting updates. No one seemed to step up and take responsibility. Working with the actual installers was fine and they were very professional. The skylights were installed on time and look nice, but I wasn't given a hand crank to open them right away. I was told it would be dropped off at my house within a couple of days. After repeated emails, and after being told it was dropped off (clearly wasn't), I got it about a month later. 4 days after the bay window was installed, I got an email from the finance head saying the project was about to begin and I was given the full cost even though I had already paid a good chunk of a deposit. I had to tell her the project was already completed and she admitted the final cost was 5K less than in the email. The next day, the supposed project manager sent an email saying the project was about to start and then 8 minutes later said it was complete and thanks for my business. Too many people involved and nobody talking to each other. They claimed they are all about customer service during the sales pitch, but that seemed to be the biggest problem in my experience.Service: General window replacement

Couldn't even get an appointment without having all homeowners present, this isn't a timeshare deal. Take the measurements, match the existing color and siding style; vinyl wood grain double 4 and leave my estimate. I can't believe it's this difficult to spend money. Can't leave no stars so i guess it's a 1.

Let me start by saying I was apprehensive at first after hiring this company. The sales person came off as professional but misled us about many aspects of the job right from the start. For example we were quoted a start time with in 2-3 weeks we even asked if they were big enough of a company to start that quickly and we were told yes. It was actually a couple months before the project started and there was little to no communication during that time unless we reached out first. That being said once the actual job started they kept going until the job was complete and we are happy with the finished project. The house looks beautiful.Services: Exterior structural repairs, Exterior painting

Our project was to replace all siding throughout the house, along with windows and all miscellaneous items that go with completing an exterior renovation.Capital started the project strong, but our 6 week project quickly extended to 2.5+ months. There were significant gaps in communication between the site supervisor, on-site crew and project manager, leading to many miscommunications regarding project status and open items.Once the project was 75% complete, the crew was sent to another project, leaving ours sitting for weeks at a time while we tried to get in contact with the site supervisor and project manager.Make sure that if you sign a contract for a project, due your due diligence and have the team fully inspect all areas of your project to mitigate the costs of any change orders. We were assured by Capital that we didn't need a mason to come on-site prior to signing the contract and then were hit with a change order for 25% of the total project cost.Maintain copies of all signed contracts and change orders, as the finance team does not keep track of project documents. We were repeatedly told that we signed a second change order when we never received the document.Review your contract as the project is ongoing, as there are aspects that won't be completed, but you will be charged for. Capital did not use special sidewalk scaffolding for the front facade and did not provide a credit for this portion of work not performed until we brought it to finance's attention several times.Overall, Capital's pitch is solid and impressive, but their follow through doesn't align with the expectations set upfront. We did not feel comfortable moving forward with giving them additional exterior work after this project was complete.Services: General construction, Vinyl window installation & replacement, Exterior structural repairs, Installation, Exterior painting, Carpentry services
