Crew of two men worked for 45 minutes, did an excellent job of clearing pine cones and pine straw from our roof. Would have given 5 stars, but they left four heavy bags of pine straw on our driveway. We would have preferred it if they had taken them away. We do not have curbside yard waste pickup in our town, so we had to bring those bags to a town landfill.

I don't know why this place has so many good reviews. They advertise full service gutter cleaning / flushing and inspection and consult for how to improve/repair your gutters but I did not receive any of that. They came and left within 10 minutes and did not flush the gutters or give any results of the inspection or recommendations. It's clearly a numbers game and they will do the absolute bare minimum required to charge you and leave as fast as possible. I would be fine with that if that is what they advertised but I actually wanted a consultation and quotes because I have some sections of damaged gutters that need repairs.

So far my experience was excellentThe price was reasonable and fair for the work.The agents on the phone were well organized and reflected confidence and pride in the company, being downright to earth and answering my questions. No sales pitch, taking hours, instead I had to bring up my own initiative.I was anxious because there was not much documentation, I did not have to sign anything either. By way of a caveat, I will concede that businesses are very busy and keeping up with scheduling and services has been challenging.With that said I stand by my (1) star rating for my experience with Ned Stevens Gut Cleaning & General Contracting for the following reasons:1. Called to schedule cleaning and repair. The operator indicated it would be about 3 days and that they would be out that Monday as they did not work on Sat or Sun. Couple of weeks go with numerous follow up calls and was told on last call they were in route. [Friday] but then were a no show however they did show up bright and early that Saturday [which they told me they did not work when I had originally called. Ok, will let that slide as just poor communication.2. Two gentlemen showed but we had a language barrier so I could not communication the need that repairs were needed on the gutters- I tried to point but it got lost in translation. We had just purchased the home and there was deferred maintenance specifically with gutter being a focus. The crew was here no more than 15 minutes tops. They used my hose to as guy on ground followed guy on roof as he picked up the leaves and then they left.3. I called the company as they handed me the orange door tag "Your Service is Complete But We Found An Issue. Please call for details".I called as the 2 guys were still loading their ladder and explained I was under the impression that cleaning also included light repair [which was not the case here]. So was anticipating a follow up crew for repairs. The operator said the report indicated the gutters were fine but the roof had mold.RED FLAG: no way was there a report [if one even existed ]since the guys were still packing up. I stopped him and said I am not interested in a roof cleaning but in repairing the gutters. We had ice dams over the winter and we have real issues with the gutters. He then proceeded to tell me my gutters were fine and the ice dam had nothing to do with the gutters. Again, I stopped the conversation and informed him several of my downspouts were not even strapped to the house and high winds have taken them down multiple times. Further there are areas of the gutters that are not pitched correctly do to excessive leaf weight [from years of deferred maintenance] so do not drain and there are sections were the nails were pulled away for the fascia leaving gaps up to .5-1 inch in some areas.Bottom line: Ned Steven missed the marked on the additional work we were looking to do in repairing or replacing our gutters. Trust is a valued commodity more then ever these days - I've no trust in this company.Upside the $25 off first time customers coupon takes the sting out of getting hosed on the cleaning/inspection [pun intended]

Company is very good however charged me 1100+ for a home approximately 500 ft small one bedroom cottage for cleaning off roof and power wash. Never tell customers when they are coming have been with Company for 2 yrs finally told them yesterday to delete accounts for both homes. Great job but way too expensive for me to continue with them

We have been customers for a few years for gutter, roof and dryer vent cleaning. We had been notified that our deck needed attention. We've been in our home for the past 20 years and have only pressure washed our deck once. We live in a wooded area, so needless to say, once in the last 20 years is insufficient. There was a lot of green fuzziness going on. Ned Stevens Gutter Cleaning had been notifying us that it should be addressed, but we had to prioritize house tasks. It was finally time to bite the bullet and schedule the service. Since it was the end of the season, we were able to get a discounted rate. We were told that the crew would arrive within 2 weeks. Got a text one day that they were on their way, so we rushed down to move some of the items on our deck. The 2 man crew, who were very nice, showed up within an hour of receiving the text. We discussed what was going to be done and they said they'd clean the custom wood furniture that we'd removed from the deck as well. A couple of hours later, our doorbell rang and they showed us the amazing work performed. The deck/furniture was still soaked, but we could tell it was a huge difference! We were told that if we were not satisfied, they'd come back to make it right. We've never had to call them back for any of their services, as they've always done a great job. Took a picture after everything had dried and it was night and day. I highly recommend Ned Stevens! Most of the time, we don't even have an interaction as their services are performed without the need of the homeowners presence. It was a pleasure dealing with the 2 gentlemen that made our deck look brand new.Service: Power/pressure washing

Below is a sequence of events related to my requested gutter cleaning at my primary residence in MA.- Gutter cleaning requested for scheduling last fall; finally was performed in January- Following initial service, I followed up, as corner by garage was still clogged & overflowing- 2nd appointment for service made / performed on 4/12- Followed up, as same corner was still clogged & overflowing; provided photos to email address showing water backup- After a week of no response from Ned's, I called back and was told that I was given the wrong email address and was advised to forward the photos to a different address, which I did- 3rd appointment for service made / performed on 4/25. During the maintenance, crew member informed me that there was a small leak by the corner and that it would require a small amount of silicone sealant, and would be free of change. This would be reflected in the follow-up maintenance report- Janelle had aligned on calling me to review this info at 1:30pm on 4/26- By 2pm, since I did not receive a call, I called Ned's and was connected with Tim. Tim reviewed the report and provided the feedback that the 45' run with two corners would need to be replaced at a cost of over $1k. I asked how that cost was determined, at which time, Tim took a moment and said that it appeared to be an error, and the true cost should be $600+.- When I asked why this service was not recommended after either of the previous appointments in January and April 12, Tim was not able to provide an explanation.- I declined the "recommended" service and cancelled my upcoming service scheduled for the end of November.I ask that you look at this from a customer's perspective and question why I would ever trust Ned's to perform my gutter cleaning again. It took 3 times for the requested work to be completed, had less than stellar customer service at times, and most concerning... an estimate for service that was (1) oddly "missed" during the first 2 visits, (2) contradictory to what the service crew said would be a minor / free patch repair, and (3) grossly over estimated and the estimate was only corrected when I asked how that cost was determined. The events above exemplify an organization where service members / staff are incompetent or dishonest (or both). Ned's has lost me as a customer.

I contacted Ned’s for a simple cleaning. The representative told me that when the scheduled crew planned to arrive, I would be able to reschedule if the time didn’t work for me. That was not the case as when I contacted customer service, they told me they called off the crew, but my home camera showed me the crew proceeded anyway. When the crew returned a second time to complete the cleaning correctly, they left downspouts outside of the fasteners that keep them secured to the house. I have tried contacting customer support over email multiple times and have not gotten no reply. My neighbor also mentioned that when the crew was walking around my roof they were wearing harnesses that were not tied off to anything. Very dangerous, would not recommend contracting.

They did a really good job, removing my old gutters, and installing the new ones. The Team worked neatly and the yard was spotless when they left. My one concern was that they were working in occasionally rainy conditions, but they assured me they were ok. I was surprised when they showed up, I was expecting some sort of heads up as to when they were coming.

They did a so-so job cleaning my gutters and that's all I asked them to do. They noticed a "problem" elsewhere and now they won't leave me alone. They literally call and spam email me every day. They use different phone numbers. Sometimes it's even NO CALLER ID. So I am unable to keep up marking them as spam, rob calls or junk mail. I highly recommend you to never use this service. Find someone local to clean your gutters. You will be far better off. Trust me.

This was my first time using Ned Steven's. The guys did a good job cleaning, flushing, and inspecting my gutters and downspouts. And didn't leave any mess behind. During their inspection and me pointing out an elbow high up in the top corner of the front of the house. There's an issue. Whether it can be fixed or replaced. They only wanted to replace. It was a bit pricey to do so. But other than that, I would recommend this company as of this visit.

Overall good experience. However, beware of the scheduling expectations.The good: The guys that came did a good job cleaning my gutters and were in and out in an hour. They also shared their observations for any potential problems and recommended fixes (at an additional cost).The bad: I scheduled my appt to be on or after Dec 13. I did not receive service until Jan 26. I waited over 6 weeks past when I expected them to come! They did not communicate a schedule or give me concrete expectations even once. I called multiple times and spoke with multiple customer service reps, and none of them helped. It was not until I threatened to cancel and hire their competitor that I magically got an email confirming I’d been scheduled for that week. BEWARE.

I requested a quote and received a call within a few minutes with a price that was extremely competitive. The only strange part of the initial booking was that they could not give me an exact date/time for the service - they only said that when they scheduled it, based on other service calls in the area, they would alert me by text. The team which did the cleaning did arrive within 48 hours of my booking. They were super efficient and the debris from the gutter was cleaned up.

I hired Ned Stevens to clean my gutters after discovering my previous guy didn't do the hard to reach places. They did a great job.They DID recommend completely replacing the gutters b/c they leak, but they were correct about that. So, it's a $$$ hit, but they were clear and honest about what needed to be done. I hired them to do the work for those reasons alone.I'm reducing my rating b/c they never came to do the agreed upon work.

After spending close to $600 this is what our gutters looked like this fall; a month after we were scheduled for a cleaning, I even called to confirm they were coming to clean them as I knew rain was coming. They never showed up or called us. The gutters were full and our basement flooded because the rain could not drain. They never showed up or called.

The Ned Stevens crew of 2 was friendly & efficient. From our window that overlooks the roof, I watched them walk carefully while cleaning the gutters with the leaf blower. They also flushed them with water with the long hose they brought. They also cleaned up the ground around the house with the leaf blower. I’m always surprised that they can clean all of our gutters in such a short time. ( about 20 minutes). Before they arrived, I received a message on my iPhone that they would be arriving soon, but I think it was just a few minutes advance notice. If possible, a little earlier notice would be great in case I’m not home, so that I can let other family members know about it. Otherwise we’re always pleased with their work.

We had Ned Stevens clean our gutters. They did a great job, including fixing misaligned downspouts. They came back a week later and replaced the front gutters that had been crushed by a tree. Both teams were fast, professional and clean. I look forward to working with them again in the future. They have a number of different services they offer. 👍👍

The team was efficient and cleaned up any mess from the gutters that fell on the lawn. The team sent only cleans gutters. If you had any questions about adding gutters or downspouts you had to call the office and they would send out someone else to look at that. There seemed to be only 1 guy that spoke much English but they did a good job. They did take pictures of the inside of the gutters to show you the condition before they cleaned it.I had my dryer vent cleaned. They said it would be a few weeks but they came the next day. I asked if they took out a lot of stuff but I don't think they understood but they said they did a good job. It only took about 15 min. but the price was reasonable I guess. I never had it done before. It was good to have it done for piece of mind.

Let me say first the two men were nice. Not sure if they took ten minutes. He took our leaves and blew them on my neighbor's yard. There wasn't much but I asked him to blow them off my neighbor and move them into my yard. I got a polite yes but that never happened. I wasn't paying too much attention and was surprised they finished so fast even though I have a small ranch. I asked about the downspouts and he said the rain would flush them out. I thought a gutter cleaning meant downspouts also. My ignorance I guess. I understand that a business must make a profit and pay their employees. Feels as if I paid too much for a job that just seemed way to quick to be thorough. I mean please "rain will flush the downspouts". Isn't there a method to insure they are clear before it rains? Again, nice folks but never again. Oh I just saw how another customer received a downspout flushing with a hose they brought. Rain will flush mine out when I asked them makes no sense. I guess I have unflushable downspouts. Even angrier now. This was supposed to include a complimentary inspection. How on Earth did I pass with those darn downspouts? I laud them for doing the fastest inspection ever on my house. Detailed inspection and gutter cleaning in the blink of an eye, like wow! Good luck to those who have had success with them. I feel as if I did not.

I have used Ned Stevens for 5 years and they used to be good, but recent experience with them has been horrible and I don't think I will use them ever again and would like to advice you to avoid them at all cost too.I booked a service in Dec and still cannot get service mid Jan. Customer service is rude and privileged, demanding and pressuring you to either pay a $100 additional dispatch fee or sign up for a premium program if you don't want to wait for the 2 months lead time. (When I booked the service, they mentioned it's going to be scheduled ASAP).After I call to ask to cancel, they immediately changed their tone and saying the emergency dispatch fee is $49 and they can waive it.At this point, I am not convinced of the quality of their work as well as the service they are providing. I don't think January in Boston is the "biggest season for gutter cleaning" as they claimed. I think they are either very over booked, or struggling with scheduling.

All went great. I was notified before they were coming. The two guys pulled in went to work and raked up everything that fell off the roof, and some of leaves that were already on ground. Put them in a plastic bag and left. No problems, did their jobs, everything thing looked great and left. Thank youThe only complaint if you want to call it, is the plastic bags, wish the debris was in brown recycle bags.This is the second time they have come out and cleaned our gutter's. I will definitely use them again next year.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I wanted to use them for an estimate and repair of our gutters. The salesman on the phone repeatedly told me it would be a $270 to come out and clean them at which time they would also give us an assessment to fix them. The cleaning crew came and did not clean the gutters properly. We have guards on the gutters and they did not truly clean them.They also did not speak English. I mention this not as a problem, but they had no way to communicate with me so they had to call their manager who then spoke with me through the phone. He was not on site to see what was happening, nor could I effectively describe to him my expectations. This is a horrible company and I ask anyone reading this to stay away from them and consider using someone else. The positive reviews on Google are very suspect.

I have used these folks for many years and have been generally satisfied. However, this time, I had asked for a call back on cleaning my dryer vent while they were here. The crew they sent did not know about it, did not have the equipment. The pine needles they blew from my roof were blown onto shrubbery and generally left around the house... we have always asked them to take them all away. Finally, a small roof over a bay window, which admittedly does not have gutters, is usually cleaned off as they clean the roof in general. It was left piled with pine needles. So not a great rating for this trip.
