Tom and the Prostone crew did a great job repointing some of our brick house, and repairing the flashing on our roof. They were very responsive to our inquiries, easy to work with, and charged us exactly the price they quoted for the work. When they found an area that needed a little repointing that they hadn't included in their estimate, they did the extra work at no additional charge. We're super satisfied with Prostone, and will definitely reach out to them again if we need any more masonry work done at the house!

John, Tom and the crew were on a job down the street when we first met them. They stopped by, looked at the yard and gave us the estimate. Work began the following week and they did a great job, replacing our old, worn out brick patio with this beautiful 2 level stone patio. We added the trellis to support our wysteria and it looks great! It wasn't an easy job, with all of the large tree roots and old iron pipes they had to dig up. They also repaired our badly damaged concrete wall. Thanks again for all of your hard work.

I hired Prostone to install drainage in my yard to address flooding in my basement. John and Tom talked me through the details of their plan and answered all of my questions during the estimation process, including suggesting a plan that was less involved and expensive than the foundation repair I expected the job would require.On the scheduled day of the work, Tom let me know that another contract had been delayed, so he had brought the workers from that contract to repoint my brick retaining wall - at no additional charge!John followed up with me to ensure the job was done to satisfaction and the flooding was completely addressed. Excellent workmanship, and far, far more communication and follow-through than other contractors I've worked with in the Boston area.

Hired John to repair a loose and crumbling stone wall. Word was done on time and much to my satisfaction. A few weeks ago I had Pro Stone resurface the top of another wall. The workers were on time and finished the job in one day. Not only was the work well done, John was able to save me money by suggesting an alternative from what I originally planned.

I had 4 different companies give me estimates and when Tom showed up instead of just saying ok pavers,steps and fix wall like everyone else Tom explained the job to me exactly how they were gonna do it step by step and at that point I knew he was the guy for the job.I am very particular with who I let work on my house because I end up having to fix it myself afterwards. This was the best decision I am extremely happy that I went with Prostone Tom and his crew showed up early in the morning and got the job done and done right the first time. I am very pleased with the work they did for me I’ve been looking at it for hours lol and it looks amazing! The wall looks identical to the other side and pavers look great!! I cannot recommend ProStone enough. We hired ProStone to repair our front staircase, re-point our chimney, and address masonry related issues with our bulkhead that were flagged by our home inspector. ProStone did a fantastic job. You really had a sense that they had a personal investment in making sure that your property was enhanced by the work - specifically, wanting to help prevent water from getting into the home due to cracked or old masonry as well as help the prevent the chimney from becoming unusable due to cracks that form over time.John and his team were fantastic. They were very respectful of our home and communicated throughout the entire process. They arrived on time and ready to go. You can see from one of the before and after photos of our front steps that ProStone really enhanced the functionality of the steps to prevent rainwater from pooling at the top of the stairs while also improving the curb appeal of the house. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end.

They worked tirelessly through some of the hottest days we had this summer.The cost wasn't cheap by any means, but their work definitely does not leave us with buyers remorse.I forgot to take any real "before" pictures, so I had to use an image from Google Maps taken last summer.The small sections of exposed brick wall is something we expected going into the work, and we'll be addressing that at a later date.

They came in and did a masterful job repairing the wall and adding a layer of stone to the top to give us additional gardening space. I hired Prostone to fix my front stone wall. A previous contractor did a terrible job patching the grout in the wall. John and the team of Prostone dug out all of the old mortar and acid washed the wall. They put beautiful granite tops on the wall, replaced my front steps with stone and granite tops, built a new walkway to the front steps. I was so thrilled with their work that I hired them to put in a beautiful patio with granite steps from the sliding doors. They also did an amazing job repointing the chimney. I would give them more than 5 stars if possible. The team did a very professional job, stayed on the job until it was done, and checked with me to make sure I was happy every step of the way. They were always neat and cleaned up every night. My neighbors commented on how courteous the workers were.My neighbors kept admiring their work, saying it added a "WOW" factor to the front of the house.I would hire them again in a minute. It is a pleasure working with a team that is truly professional.

I put in a request for an estimate on the Prostone Paving & Masonry website, after seeing that they had only 5 star reviews. I received a call-back next day, which was great! I wanted a quote for getting my granite front stairs cleaned due to efflorescence and mineral deposits that have accumulated due to water leaking through them over the years. When the very kind and knowledgeable owner came out to our house (same day as the callback!), he took a thorough look at the stairs and, rather than trying to overcharge me or get a job from me, told me that I would be able to clean them myself for about $30! He told me what materials to use, gave me directions on how to go about it, and said he would not want to overcharge me for a job I could easily do! I really REALLY appreciated his honesty! You can tell that this is a top-notch company. I saved their card, as I will definitely be considering them for any future stonework or masonry jobs that we have in the future!

After seeing paver's installed at a house in the neighborhood i decided i wanted pavers for my Dorchester property as well. I immediately jumped online to search local masonry companies and I happen to stumble across Prostone. Based on quality reviews and amazing photos i decided to call. Soon i was on the line with Tom, I sent him a few photos and he asked when he could see the property; we meet the following day. More than just delightful Irish accent Tom was warm, honest and treated my project, which was relatively small, with a degree of respect and reverence i wasnt expecting. What impressed me most was how knowledgeable Tom was about the process involved in getting the job done and done right...the first time. Tom educated me on pavers, i was grateful. We set a date and shook on it.When the work began, at every point Tom and his crew were on-time, clean and polite. The work was completed on the timeline as Tom promised. Couldn't be happier that I chose Pro Stone to do some masonry work recently. They repaired the foundation and bricks in an outdoor patio area that was falling apart. Their work was fast, efficient, and fixed the problem. The end result is it looks fabulous! While they were working they noticed a big crack in my cement staircase leading to the patio and they fixed that too... just because they could. A different vendor had given me a large estimate to get the staircase done and I have put off having to find the money. Truly a gift for ProStone to go above and beyond to repair it for me without asking or charging me for it. Customer service at its finest.

John at Prostone, Paving and Masonry was an absolute gentleman. He was honest, reliable and professional and completed my project with high quality and craftsmanship. He applied stucco to an interior basement wall that was damp and peeling, rebuilt my outdoor front steps, and added bonding agents to the external foundation. They removed all debris, and left the site clean and tidy. They did an outstanding job overall.
