We had Matt come out to help us reinforce a porch addition on a house we had just bought in Portsmouth, RI. The previous owner had apparently closed in what was originally an outside deck. There were signs of the ledger board pulling away from the house and the support columns were sinking. We talked to several contractors about shoring it up. Matt was the most knowledgeable and communicated well his suggestions and plans, which all seemed the correct way to approach things. He also gave us a very reasonable bid for the work so picking him was an easy choice. I was surprised when his team completed the whole project in only a single day and left the place clean of junk. We have used Hiscock Construction for our home improvement/repair needs for YEARS. Randy has re-roofed our house, added an extension to our garage, removed and replaced the ceiling in our kitchen, among various other projects.Most recently, we hired Randy for an extensive remodel project. He and his crew have worked meticulously; from installing custom windows and doors into concrete block siding, installing a spiral staircase, putting up a gorgeous deck, and building the most ridiculous wall ever - these guys can do it all. And all while working with local inspection agents to ensure everything is being built to code!Randy is a talented builder and a hard worker. His crew is professional, quick, and tidy. Randy put in an attachment to my deck with a sliding glass door years later the roof over my slider leaked inside my house. I tore off the roof he installed and the metal pieces that was put in the crevice connecting to my roof on my house were on the sides of the crevice and there was no metal pieces on the peak at all. I would not recommend him to do any construction because the work was not done right at all. Just cost me more money to fix the terrible job he did.
