Christian, Gabriel, Cole (aka Tony), JD, Bo, and Hank were amazing on-site, designing and installing our dream home. The whole HPB crew (some of them not mentioned here) worked on a tight schedule in the shop to get our project done on time, and on budget - something unheard of in today's building environment. Beyond our technical, scheduling, and budgetary constraints, we were delivered an absolutely stunning timber frame that will last generations. I can' wait to work with HPB again.

We highly recommend Hardwick Post & Beam! We wanted to add some pieces to the outside of our Timber Frame home and Hardwick Post & Beam made it happen. Christian worked with us for several weeks ensuring the details were exactly how we envisioned. He worked with us via phone, email and additionally came to the house a few times. We had dreamed of these pieces for years and they came out better than we ever expected. The special type of wood and the finish that were chosen for our project will last and remain beautiful outside. The crew that installed were very polite and respectful of our home and property. We constantly receive compliments from visitors. We truly enjoyed the entire process and are so thankful to Hardwick Post & Beam!

We own a home on the Mad River in Warren, Vermont. One of the most delightful aspects of our property is driving into our driveway and feasting our eyes on the river. The most unfavorable aspect of our property was NO GARAGE! We lived through several winters scraping snow off our cars - and we mean a lot of snow. Yet, we just weren’t willing to sacrifice our vista of this quintessential Vermont river for a traditional garage. Our good fortune was to connect with Christian and his team of talented craftsman at Hardwick Post and Beam.Our conversations began with sketches in a notebook and finished with a magnificent post and beam structure. This type of structure is frequently referred to as a Carport; we refer to our gorgeous post and beam structure as a “Porte Cochere,” as it is the only title befitting this beautiful yet extremely functional structure.We had numerous conversations, some face to face conversations others via email. All our communications with Christian were highly professional in tone and always reflected his knowledge of the craft. Our experience with Christian was that no detail was overlooked.We couldn’t be happier with the resulting structure or with our interactions with Christian, and the work of his highly skilled team. We highly recommend Hardwick Post and Beam to anyone interested in building a post and beam structure.

If I could give them a 6 I would. I had a concept, they helped me all the way through the architectural design process..the collaboration and openness to new ideas along the way was outstanding. We visited the shop...they allowed us to experience our dream the whole way though. The install was incredible. I finally found a wonderful lot to build my house on, but I was very sad to have to take down several big, beautiful red oaks to make room for the driveway. So I was committed to using the wood in my house. My biggest prize is one of the tree trunks that stands whole as a 16' post in the middle of my house, which HP&B prepared and installed. I visited their shop while Christian was debarking and treating the tree, and I was impressed with his care of it, the way he touched it and talked about it. I knew it was in good hands. This man clearly loves his work. They also cut and installed my porch frame, which turned out exactly as I wanted it. The finishing products they used are natural and LEED-certified -- and beautiful. HP&B does wonderful work plus they're very pleasant to deal with.

We moved into our Hardwick Post & Beam home in November of 2018 and could not be happier. Christian and his team were a pleasure to work with from the design process through to the end. He even made us a timber frame lamppost, pergola, wishing well and gang mailbox which tied everything in from the inside to outside. He led a great erection team and they had the frame up in just a few days perfectly plumb and level. My kitchen designer/contractor, when coming out to take field measurements, said, "I keep getting the exact same measurement!" We highly recommend them to anyone interested in a timber frame home. Everyone that has seen it is amazed.

THE VERY BEST! My husband and I have been planning our home build for 3 years, HPB was the first Post and Beam company we reached out to. Christian was amazing, he responded right away and very quickly came to our home in Brooklyn to have a one on one meeting with us. We received a quote and plans within the week. We couldn’t believe how quickly our vision had materialized!This is our first home build and we felt we needed to be educated in our decision making process, so we reached out to several other reputable framing companies. We were very lucky and all the companies we dealt with were also very nice. Regardless of that, HPB made our choice easy. Their team, led in communication by Christian was fair in price, flexible, reactive and so attentive that we couldn’t even consider the other options. They were faster, smarter and clearly had more experience and resources. They also recommended an amazing SIP company to us who ended up doing our exterior panels- all top notch.When there was miscommunication in regard to the design of the SIPs, Christian went out of his way to help us deal with it and made sure that we got everything that we wanted.In the end our actual frame is a long way away from the initial design presented to us that first week, it’s far beyond our expectation and really just absolutely stunning.The crew assembled it in under two (scorching hot) days. They were incredible. Some of the most efficient & effective workmanship I have ever seen and to top it off they were all a pleasure to be around.It just really does not get any better. I cannot recommend these guys enough.

In the Spring of 2017 my wife and I met with Ridge and Christian @ HP&B to discuss plans for a Timber Frame addition. We left with a hand shake and a deposit to secure our spot in the "line up".Prior to breaking ground this July, we had numerous meetings with Christian and Bob. Bob would come to our house to discuss things through the various phases of our project. Timber sizes, joinery up size/down size etc, etc. Bob was awesome to work with he was very knowledgeable and always helpful in offering suggestions. Bob is a true gentleman. Bob never pressured us and he was just as good @ listening as giving advise.Christian was equally knowledgeable @ HP&B. Christian would always take my calls, and if he wasn't available, he would always call back. Christian does not overlook anything. When you see Christian taking notes, it is not for show. His attention to detail was amazing. I had a number of requests, oversized timbers, scarf joints, spline joints, beveled shouldered mortise & tennon joints and some large knee braces. Christian DID NOT forget one. Christian gave us all oversized timbers 4 scarf joints, 5 spline joints 4 shoulder beveled mortise & tennon joints and some oversized knee braces.The framing crew was a sight to behold. They reminded me of honey bees each one having a specific job but also working with one another to raise the frame. Ed was the Foreman on the job, but not the type of Foreman to just bark orders. Ed and the crew had the frame raised in one day, they were all a bunch of very hard working nice guys.The frame is outstanding, it exceeds our expectations. I told Christian that my wife and I would be more than happy to allow anyone to stop by and see their work, and I'm sure that will seal the deal for them.Choosing HP&B was the easiest part of the project and we are extremely happy we did. I can't recommend these guys enough. Extremely fair prices, fast turnaround time and their communication is top notch. I had a unique situation requiring repairs and Christian was able to design brackets and have them installed in short order. The repairs came in well under budget and I have peace of mind that my house is structurally sound again.Thank you!
