This was our second positive experience with Harwich Port Heating and Cooling. The first was with their electrical division and the second with their plumbing service, to replace our on-demand hot water unit. They sent their professional estimator and got us a quote right after he returned to the office. Their schedule was fully booked so I thought we were going to have to wait almost a week, but they put us on their list for cancellations and we got a call with an appointment in a matter of a few days. The two workers arrived on time and immediately got to work. They completed the job quickly and were exceptionally friendly and polite. They reviewed with me all that was done and left me with a huge smile on my face. Happy to have Harwich Port Heating and Cooling on my list of professionals!

It was disappointing to discover that my boiler had a heat exchanger warranty failure but the technician from Harwich Port Heating and Cooling handled the contact with the manufacturer quickly, showing the manufacturer rep details of the failure via video conference and was able to get all parts covered under warranty. He also followed up with a call to keep me posted on the status of the parts delivery and oversaw all the replacement efforts. You cannot expect more from a service company.

I had used them for over 10 years for all my heating and plumbing needs. This is why I am so surprised at what happened with them. My on demand hot water heater broke (was at the end of its life) so i called harwichpirt plumbing to get a price on replacing the water heater. They provided me with a price of almost $5500 to replace it. The unit itself was only $1200. And the job was only a 4 hour job. That price seemed very high so I got 2 more quotes. I call 2 other companies. And they were both under $3200. I went with KMD plumbing and it cost me $3000. I feel they tried to take advantage of me because I needed that water heater. This company has been around for a long time I’m not sure what has happened with it. Maybe new owners/greed?

As a long time customer, I had found HPHC responsive and reliable. But, in May 2023 I needed to replace my old gas-fired hot air furnace. HPHC’s quote was almost $3,000 higher than the nearest competitor. But they offered a better-rated furnace so I went with them. When the weather turned colder in November, the furnace would take 8 hours to heat my house from 60 degrees to 70 degrees. My calls to the installation manager went unanswered for a week.. I called again and was told a service technician would come out. He found that the two stage furnace had only been programmed for the first 15 minute partial heating. The installers failed to complete the programming. It has now been programmed correctly, but my latest call to the installation manager to discuss it hasn’t been answered for a week. I recommend you buy a furnace elsewhere.

I can’t say enough about our service experience with HPHC. Especially our technician Daniel!! We have an old, some may say ancient, unit that is notoriously difficult to service. On top of that our heat wasn’t working at all! After coming across every possible curve ball our furnace could have to thrown at him Daniel got us up and running… only for the control board to go 5 min later. (Did I mention our furnace is old and temperamental? 😬) Daniel was so attentive and thoughtful. He was concerned about keeping the house warm for my 1yr old and was able to temporarily fix it for the night and came back FIRST thing the next morning with a new control panel. He likely went out of of his way to start his day particularly early so we were all taken care of. Now we are warm and cozy and very very grateful to Daniel and HPHC!

We had a new whole house air-conditioner system installed. Sean and his crew were great. They came on time and were very respectful. They explained everything and were super clean and careful. I've been using these guys exclusively for years and have used them for everything from whole home generator maintenance, to plumbing, to central air conditioning and there's a reason for it. Someone is always answering the phone. Those people on the phones are in direct contact with their field service employees. Whenever I call they always seem to know exactly who's currently in my area at the moment or who will be available and at what time. I have never had a single bad experience with any service personnel, as they are all highly professional. Lastly... In all these years I have never once had to "callback" on anything. I rely on them for both my home and my business.

The plumbing technician arrived early (approximately 9:30AM) for a 10AM-12 Noon appointment. He took 2 hours to repair a broken toilet flange making 3 attempts before completing the repair, He spent the entire time talking on his cell phone via ear buds. He claimed that the toilet had been installed incorrectly by the previous technicians. Focusing on the job would have shortened the service time. Plumbing gunk had to be cleaned up on the floor and lavatory counter after the service.This is a great company and my issues have been resolved
