Review 2: Our Rick Roy Construction renovation is now done and dusted. It was completed in August 2022. It was a big job (e.g., new bedrooms, barn bedroom, garage updates, bathrooms, large dormers, roof, paint, windows, doors, etc.). To say that we are pleased with the quality of the team and craftsmanship is an understatement. They did a remarkable job. Most importantly, if there any issues whatsoever after the fact, there are no questions. They show up within a day and make it right. Highly recommended from this family. Many thanks to John, Shawn, Peter, Patti and the entire Rick Roy Construction Crew. Well done!Review 1: We are having Rick Roy Construction, LLC ("RRC") do a major structural renovation to our home in Chatham and we are super happy with the quality of work; the talent and professionalism of the crew; and the strict milestone schedule to date. As background, we have built 2 large houses (in Texas) before and have also done a sizable renovation in Chatham; so this isn't our first rodeo. To date, everyone at RRC from the architect who drafted the initial plans, project manager, prep crew, demolition crew, structural framers, finish carpenters and billing process have been best-in-class. By any measure, the workmanship is outstanding and, importantly, when they say they will do something on a certain date, it's done. As we all know, getting quality work done on the Cape is very expensive and a bit of a gamble at times. We did extensive due diligence on RRC with friends across the Cape before we retained them. They have a well earned reputation for excellence. For our hard earned money, RRC is the way to go.Service: Remodeling

Believe I was told he averages 60 houses annually. This was mentioned as a positive. I came to find out it was beyond a negative. We were referred to him by his architect and we made the mistake of balking at his initial bid. He ended up lowering the price by 15%. I’m not sure if this is the reason that I had such a bad experience or if this is just their product. Delay after delay, and excuse after excise. But we could never get rick back on the phone. I’ve had this home for a year and it is already falling apart. When all is said and done, this home was finished 8 months after originally promised. I’m unsure what upsets me most, that we have a 2.5 million dollar home that was slapped together or the fact that when the final price came in, they were 30% more than the original price they had quoted. Unbelievable. We feel duped, and the worst thing is, we can’t do it over.
