I want to send a huge thank you to Mahoney's and their customer service. I brought my kids in over the summer and my daughter picked out a beautiful nightlight of the Ned's Point lighthouse. She has had it on in her room every night since. One night, I dropped it on the hardwood floor and it completely shattered. Frazzled, I emailed Mahoney's to see if they had anymore or if they could give me the name of the artist that makes them. Within a few days, Colleen had shipped a new one to my house (with a delicious chocolate as well!). My mama heart could rest easy after causing my little girl so much distress and I am so thankful!

Great building supply store with a cute gift shop and great display for kitchen counters and cabinetsUpdate. I dont even know her name, but the young woman at the paint desk has to be the most helpful person on the planet. She seems like she values her job and really puts an effort in to help out especially when we came in knowing very little about paint and stains. Thank you for helping us with our new build

My wife and I were referred to Mike Camacho in their Kitchen and Design space and he was nothing short of excellent. He played a huge part in helping us design the kitchen of our dreams. This store is just ok, could use some re organization. Giving it 5 stars solely for the little food truck outside the door off to the side. The people who run it deserve the recognition and I can't find them on Google to leave a review so this is where I shall leave it. The food is amazing and always hits the spot, and at a decent price as well. I have spoken.

I started a new project and have no idea how to proceed. I don't even know what kind of nails or screws to use. I went in to Mahoney's because it is in town and because it is not as intimidating as the big box stores. I was greeted by an employee at Mahoney's and he very patiently told me what I need to get, and how to proceed. This kind of service is just wonderful and just what I needed to get started. I am very grateful and highly recommend new owners to go there. One more thing. Previously, I went to a big store to get four pieces of 1x4x8 to repair an outdoor stairs. Our of the four, one piece turns out to be so bowed and out of shape that I cannot use it. I brought it back to get a refund. I noticed all the lumber I get from Mahoney's has been of great quality.

Showed up when place was closed during holidays. Owner happened to be out front. He let me in even though it was closed and told just to come back when I can and pay him later! I was shocked at this old school treatment I thought had been gone for 40 years! What a nice guy to let me in and told me to "Take what you need and pay me later as all the lights were off etc. He now has a customer for life! I will always go here first before any box store. Great selection for everything the house would need!

Prices weren't too bad But the service wasn't great,the man loading up my lumber was very angry and rude. If you don't like your job then quit. Very unprofessional. Other than that it was fine.

Someone used my credit card NUMBER fraudulently at this establishment. Meaning they didn’t have the physical card itself. You might be asking how’s it the businesses fault? Any business that types in numbers of a credit card without the actual card present is a RED FLAG! I get it, some businesses have commonly used Credit Cards on file and use them whenever lets say a contractor phones in. Except I’m not a contractor nor do I even live remotely near there. Businesses should really start asking for ID when presented with credit card information.

I went to Mahoney's Biulding Supply shopping for white cedar shingles. Jason, at the contractor's counter, was very helpful and took the time to explain the difference between the grades of shingles. Even the yard man outside, took me to the building where they are stored to show me what they look like. And they have plenty. I went to the " box store supplier " and they need to be ordered and no sure when they would arrive. Jason and the yardman made the trip worth it, very polite and most of all they know what they are selling. I found a new place to get my building supplys.

Great staff. Prices are a little high BUT.... They make up for it with the HIGHEST quality of customer service, and the employees understand the products they are selling. The "Big Box" stores can't compete with that!!!! Not even close!

Mahoney's is a large store in a small town. You can drop in to buy souvenirs and Mattapoisett-themed gifts, or household items, or stuff for your garden and pets, or really serious building supplies. Good prices and knowledgable staff. No surprise they have been in business for over 100 years now. All hail Mahoney's!
