John from HarCo exteriors was great. He was very responsive and on time for both the quote appointment and the install. He's a very professional business owner who was able to educate me on my roof and some of the questions I had. We did a complete new roof install and he even had a few samples of the different shingle options that would go well with the home and other roof sections I wasn't getting done that day.They were here and done within a day, cleaned up every single piece of shingle, and even offered to do a new section of fascia, and new aluminum drip edge behind the gutters for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a new roof! John's a really nice guy and I will be calling him in the future whenever I need quality work done with no hassle.

I hired John and his crew from Harco Exteriors to replace an upper roof and wrap around roof at my home. I genuinely appreciated John's honest opinion and expertise in walking through the quote, particularly when addressing some of the fascia that needed to be repaired. They were able to tailor the work to only areas that needed to be addressed in order to keep the cost reasonable. The skill when repairing a section of the fascia in the front of the house was exceptional and it perfectly matches the original design. This was the second project I hired John's team for and have been more than pleased with both jobs. Several years ago they put a new roof on my residence and this time put vinyl siding on a rental property for me. Both jobs were done skillfully and in a professional manner.The little details (like cushions on ladder rails to prevent leaving marks and dents, picking up after each day's work and following up on questions or minor concerns) speak volumes as to how conscientious he and his team are.

John and his crew replaced some windows for us this year. The windows took months to come but the crew came to install them as soon as the windows were delivered. No delays. They did a great job taking out the entire old windows and installing new ones the best way possible. We are very satisfied with the results.

John replaced and repaired two of my roofs - in Lexington and then 10 years later in Newton. He is amazing. He explained exactly what my options were, and did not pressure me. His workers were careful - they put in the shingles beautifully. They left no trace of having been there (other than a great roof).John is a perfectionist, and takes the extra time to make sure that the roof goes on perfectly. He's fast, and gets the roof on either on time or early.The first roof, I asked for an estimate and then agreed that he do the work. The second roof, I asked him to do the job, and only then asked the price. His roof work is better than anyone else's, and I'll wait until he's available and pay what he asks. They reply to email and phone, show up when scheduled, perform as agreed, and workmanship is highest quality. I am glad that craftsmen with talent AND customer service still exist. They have done our house painting, roof repair (for a job by another company), and last year a heating cable to stop ice. We will always use Harco if we need anything exterior done. One thing.. they don't do gutter cleaning. So instead we got gutter protectors installed by them. Company owner stands behind materials and workmanship.

We've had John Harmon do 3 separate jobs on our Medford home over the years and each was done perfectly: informative and free evaluation of needed work, patient explanation of pros/cons/risks, fair price, on time. professional execution, careful clean-up. He replaced two roofs (one during a storm emergency) and we had him re-do our entire exterior. On one of our ancient chimneys he readily noted that he wasn't the right guy for the failing brick but referred us to an experienced mason who took care of that issue also at a fair price.Our next door neighbor later hired him to re-roof his house and was equally satisfied with the price and workmanship. I have to revise my review. The failure of his workers to properly flash the chimney when my roof was originally replaced left a leak that went undetected for a few years. It then ruined my tile ceiling, but the owner John H. tried to deny responsibility. He finally agreed to pay a small portion of the replacement ceiling I needed to have installed. Would not use them again.
