I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with HKF Construction. We renovated the entire upper floor of our home (renovation in late winter-early spring 2023, home was built in 1886 and was practically a gut job), and the project remained on time and on budget. All the teams involved in the work were professional, personable, arrived when they said they would, and had prompt communication. Hayce listened to our lists of "must haves", helped optimize and make suggestions to our floor plan to make the best use of space, and considered the age and style of our home to ensure the renovation seamlessly fit in with the rest of the house. She cared for our home and project with an unparalleled attention to detail, making it feel like the project was her own home as well. I can't wait to hire HKF Construction for future work on the house!

We hired HKF to remodel our bathroom. We chose Hayce over other contractors because we could see how confident she was about handling a project in a very old house where anything could happen once you open the walls. We felt like Hayce really listened to us and gave us exactly what we wanted. She communicated promptly from the first consultation to the final inspection.When any issue came up, she immediately discussed options with us so we could make the best decisions and keep our project timeline on track. She made sure the shower size, tiles, placement of the toilet and even the original door trim were done exactly to our liking. When she noticed a small area of dust hadn’t been cleaned up at the end of the project, she made sure her team came back to finish cleaning right away. No detail was left behind. She took even the smallest problem or delay very seriously and made everything right.Her team was always friendly and happy to keep us updated on their plans for the day. We couldn’t stay since it is our only bathroom but we felt extremely comfortable leaving them to work all day in our home. We love how it turn out, better than we imagined! We will reach out to Hayce again for our next project.

When looking for a construction company to complete a small project (replacing my front entryway with composite boards), it was incredibly difficult to get a company to return my communication. Furthermore, many of them seemed to be unlicensed or uninsured. After HKF completed a project with one of my neighbors, they were on my list of places to reach out to and I'm SO glad I did. They were incredibly responsive, quick, reasonable with their pricing and thorough. When there was a change in scope (having to rebuild the stairs of our front entryway and the flooring we chose not being in stock), they were reasonable & accommodating in changing the scope and reducing the impact financially to us. I would keep them top of mind for any improvements needed in the future, and you should too.

I worked with Hayce and her crew on another home improvement project. I want to update my below review to again say that they were incredible from start to finish! We asked Hayce if she could help us build a small front porch to attach to our enclosed front porch. As with any project, unexpected things happen. If something came up and we needed to change our plan or if there was a detail that I wanted to be adjusted, Hayce never hesitated to make us happy. For example, one of our new deck boards arrived with a small gash that was hard to notice. When the stair board had already been installed, I eventually noticed it and asked Hayce if they could replace the board. Without hesitation, Hayce said of course, and the next time they arrived to finish up the project, the floorboard was replaced no problem. Little things like this that make a huge difference. Hayce and her crew know how to build trust. I trust Hayce and her team with any project and will continue to ask HKF to improve our home. What I also love about working with Hayce is her accessibility. I never feel like I am bothering her when I message her and ask her questions. She always makes us feel like a priority (which is hard to do when you have so many clients). My porch project was a very positive experience. HKF does amazing work! And her prices are always fair. We hired HKF to rebuild our second floor walk-out porch after having found that the porch was crumbling and falling off of the house. The main support posts were rotten and the deck needed a full rebuild. We first met with 3 or 4 contractors, including HKF, and were very surprised at the range in costs for the project. HKF quoted us around 1/3 of the cost of the next lowest quote and this work included extending the deck nearly 6’ further than where the original footprint was, meaning we ended up with almost 2x the size of our deck for less than what other contractors were quoting us to just simply rebuild it in place.Throughout the entire process, from planning and evaluating different options, designing the new deck, and the actual execution of the project HKF was communicative, straightforward, honest, and effective. There were some minor delays during our construction but these were largely due to materials sourcing, supply chain limitations, and scheduling of the building inspector.We are so thrilled with the final product and have been enjoying our outdoor space to the fullest. The deck is beautiful and spacious, and HKF really made sure the finished product was complete and polished. I would 100% go with HKF for this project again, I feel confident that I made the right decision and am so happy with how it turned out. I can’t wait to spend more time out there!

We have worked on a few remodel projects over the last few years and HKF Construction is the best remodeling company we have worked with. If we ever do another remodeling project they will be our go-to folks. She was very patient, and honest and advised us well on several phases of the project. Her crew is very professional and respectful and Hayce takes care of their people well, which is reflected in their dedication to the project and the respect they showed for Hayce. We did have a few scheduling mess-ups during the project, but it was mainly due to the delays caused by the sliding door company. I would strongly recommend you give HKF Construction a chance and get a quote from them. I am glad I did!

This crew does unbelievably great work. I was so delighted by their attention to detail and how carefully and thoroughly they did their work. we hired them to do exterior painting and repair work. They replaced doors and windows, fixed rotting shingles and wobbly stair railing. they rebuilt my roof deck, and replaced the flat roofing underneath, and managed to do it completely outdoors, using only ladders, without disconnecting the AC compressor that sits on top of the roof they were replacing. They did painting, carpentry landscaping,, and masonry. They noticed that there was a bunch of junk and construction debris hidden under my front porch, and they hauled it all away. Then they re-graded the soil in my front yard, poured a new concrete slab under the front porch, and replanted my garden, saving my favorite plantings and improving the rest. Hayce, the owner of the company, runs a tight ship. She managed multiple different contracts with different timelines and owners and punch lists of requirements, and on every project, her team went above and beyond expectations. Hayce was out there every day, up on a ladder, and her crew was prompt and talented and tidy and fast. Every project turned out better than I had hoped. Every day, before they left, they left my house's exterior cleaner than it has every been. they pulled weeds and hauled away junk and left the gardens and every other part of the exterior better than they found them. And they were affordable, and prompt, and I'm sure there is no project they couldn't do. I'm already planning to hire them again to do more work on my house.

I worked with this company to install new floors at our parish. We had some troubles from the other systems in the building due to the installation. HKF Construction went above and beyond to alleviate those troubles, including coming back ASAP to finish the job, once the troubles were resolved. After installation, THEY RETURNED REPEATEDLY to make sure we were happy with the new product. There were some adjustments that needed to be made which they were willing to do themselves.Only reason I could not give 5 stars was that it did not go smoothly overall, but I would confidently recommend them to anyone who wants new floors and wishes to work with an extremely responsive contractor.

We experienced devastation to our condo Christmas of 2021 from water damage. We didn't find HKF Construction until June of 2022. All of the other contractors we received quotes from quoted us twice as much as the insurance company was willing to pay to put our place back together. We were thrilled when we found Hayce, her quote was in line with what insurance was offering and she said she'd have it done in about 4 months (it was a massive job, including two other units in the condo building). Hayce worked really hard to keep us on schedule to move back into our units. My husband and I are thrilled with the work that was completed. Hayce was very responsive to our questions and needs. I would absolutely use HKF construction again if/when another deserter happens or we just want to renovate!

HKF and his team were absolutely AWESOME! This remodel was a full gut job and rebuild of the inside of a 2br, 2bath condo. New Floors, kitchen, bathrooms, vents, sockets, and switches, painting, etc… Everything was completed on time and within budget. Hayce and Cris worked closely together to communicate daily either by phone or through pictures. They were professional, and courteous, and cleaned up daily as required by our condo association. HKF did excellent work on a tricky and difficult job that few others were willing to take on. It was a repair of an AC water line that broke inside my roof and was leaking water all over the place.Hayce took care of all the logistics to make the job happen.
