David is reliable, knowledgeable, professional, and very fairly priced! We hired David (McCarthy Services) to repair our porch roof made of polycarbonate sheets, he also replaced some shingles on our siding. Thankfully for us, he is not afraid of heights! He gave a very reasonable quote and completed the project in one day.

David did a great job for us, sheathing and roofing a tool shed for us and installing doors and windows and building a stoop. He is friendly and responsive, explained everything clearly. He is efficient, reliable, and very knowledgeable. The business side is handled very professionally, and his invoice reflected his estimate. He is licensed and insured. Dave McCarthy was an absolute pleasure to work with. He is professional, punctual, competent, flexible, and kind. He answered his phone, set up a day to come check out the job, gave us a quote, and came when he said he would. Simple as that, which seems harder and harder to find these days.He even shifted his schedule slightly to fit us in earlier than he projected, as our project was time sensitive. And when the plans changed slightly, as they often do once you start cutting holes in the walls/floors of a 100+ year old house, he was calm and flexible, and he didn't charge us more than the original quote.I would recommend McCarthy Services, LLC to anyone who needs assistance with projects around the house. I was looking to have 2 ceiling fans replaced in a room with 18' ceilings. David was the first contractor who actually gave me a quote upon realizing it would take setting up scaffolding inside! Throughout the process, he communicated well, showed up when he said he would, was careful of the things in my house, and was all around pleasant to work with. When things didn't go as expected (I had purchased the fans in advance), we discussed options together and he was able to fit the job back into his schedule very timely after I had made an exchange to get a needed part. Despite the job taking a little more time than anticipated (due to a fault with one of the fans I had ordered), he billed me at his quoted price. I'm delighted to once again have working fans to keep me cool in the summer and circulate the heat in winter. I will hire David for my next project!Service: Fan installation
