Many thanks to Boyd Landscape & Design for creating a self sustaining oasis for our family. Every expectation (and there were many) was exceeded. Our property was multileveled with drainage issues and zero plantable soil. Jim orchestrated the entire process from start to finish. It was a large project including regrading of 60% of the property, building stone retaining walls and natural walkways, installing multiple leach fields, full lawn install, perennial beds and a sprinkler system. The project came in under budget and was completed on time. I've since had Jim's team back for additional projects and will continue to do so as our wants and needs change. Stellar company with all the right connections.

Beware of nice guys. Jim Boyd's charming personality led me to continuously accommodate his scheduling problems when it came to fixing a walkway he'd installed for us. First it was late in the season and he said he'd do it in the spring. Then in the spring he said his walkway guy was sick. Then he said his walkway guy died and he hadn't been able to find another one. Then it was late fall again. Now he simply says its been a couple of years and I didn't buy a warranty. All the charming sweetness is gone. I have every last text he sent me so I know I'm not losing my mind. Needless to say I'm horribly disappointed as his prices are much, much higher than most of his competitors. For the record, I had used him once before and had no problem but then again, nothing needed to be fixedUPDATED: Becky, if I were insensitive, I wouldn't have waited well more than a year after his death for Jim to address the problem. You give him five stars but then spend all of your time attacking me - makes me wonder what your true motivation is in writing the review. Your other statements about how he did additional work are simply not true. Because I used my real name here, I've heard similar stories from other people who have used Jim. He does good work and if you don't have a problem, you are fine but he is inundated with work constantly and if overwhelmed and there is a problem, then you are stuck with the problem. I wish I'd gone with someone cheaper but Jim assured me that they would not stand behind the work. Instead I paid three times the lowest bid and still ended up with someone who wouldn't stand behind his work.
