I can't say anything but good about this company and James' roofing team. They were efficient and friendly. After the storm damage in February they did a temporary patch which lasted through everything the weather could do. The house has many different roof levels, which I am sure made the job more complex than many. The completely new roof looks great and I am very confident that it will last a good long time! My expectations were exceeded! They showed up early,and got to work quickly. We had roof damage, so we replaced the entire roof. on the home and the shed. They had the old roof off within an hour, the new roof was on so quickly, and the entire crew was hardworking and helpful. I was so impressed with them! They also did a complete cleanup. Everything was done in one day. Iwould gladly hire them again. Their prices are fair, they do great work, and they are some of the nicest people that you will ever meet. Bottom line up front: I will use this company again for sure.I had a significant roof leak on an aging roof and made some calls. They did a great job on the quote and walked me through the process of getting a new roof. I asked a lot of questions, I'm pretty sure well above the average number they normally get. They handled all of them courteously and with as much detail as I wanted. I never felt pressured at any time to either make a decision on a short timetable or to pick one option over the other. They did a great job presenting the options that would fix my issue and letting me make the decisions.As with getting any roof, you never know the full cost until the tear-off is done. There just is no way to know what is underneath the old roof until it is removed. I knew I had some issues already, as the leak was already taking it's toll. They had a very accurate quote up front and their experience enabled them to give me a heads up on anything they thought might be an issue going into it so I was not caught off guard. They were pretty much dead on, and the one or two things we ran into along the way were handled with care and at a reasonable cost. I did not feel taken advantage of after the roof was removed and the unanticipated problems were discovered. The new roof looks absolutely great! I got a high quality job with high quality materials at a reasonable price. The crew that did my roof was very skilled and were very nice to my wife and children as well.Also, their warranty is for the life of the roof, not 6, 12, or 18 months as I found with most other companies I contacted. Great local company. Estimate was close to others, but I would rather hire local. Crew was very knowledgable of work they were to perform. They kept area around the garage and shed clean during the day as well as before leaving daily. Crew was very respectful and professional. Thank You for doing such a great job.

Like others have noted here, they are unreliable. I used them for a roof repair and the roofer stopped showing up, never finished the job. Finally, they sent Mike out who was awesome and made everything right.I called them look at another leak recently and Jerome no call no showed on a Saturday. When I called they immediately sent someone else out who told me Jerome would contact me with a quote. Big surprise, he never called. I'm not going to beg to give them my business.I'll give two stars because Mike went out of his way to fix the problems others created.Be prepared for poor communication and lack of follow up if you use brown and son's.

My father lives in Tecumseh. He called Brown & Sons to repair a leak in his patio roof. They were not the company who had replaced his roof, that company kept saying they would check it out, they never showed.After he called Brown & Son, they showed upthe next day. The man was very professionaland got it fixed very quickly.When he was finished, he told my fatherthat he had heard he was a WWII veteran .He shook his hand and told him.Thank you for your service sir, no charge.It was amazing, what company does that?It was a few minutes to fix, but it is fixed.Just want to say THANK YOU!!!Highly recommend this company!!!

My overall experience with this company, not good. Here are my high level reasons followed by a more detailed explanation.1) No courtesy call to explain there would not be an onsite visit the day of the appt for x reason.2) I'm not 100% sure how you can provide a reasonable estimate if you do not visit the job site and see the condition of the job.3) Didn't listen to my material request for the job. It is my choice on whether a particular material is too much... not to company providing the service...All I asked for as an estimate. I had requested an estimate for metal roofing. I didn't know what type of metal we wanted and had asked that we go over the cost when we did the estimate and they agreed.The day of the estimate came and they didn't show up but, did send an email for the estimate. Completely confused because I know I didn't miss them and they were to call when they were on their way over since they had other estimates in the area. I called to get an understanding of what happened and found out they weren't coming cause of the new governor order. Ok cool but, a courtesy call would have been greatly appreciated so, we could go over any questions that we may have had. But, we didn't get that opportunity initially.During the call I also tried to understand what type of material they quoted me for and started to ask about the metal roofing again and a comment was made about it costing $24-26K. Ok... this was the purpose of my estimate. I also felt as if I was being rushed while trying to have this conversation of the different types of metal. So, in the end they quoted me for asphalt shingles... not metal like I had originally asked for.After these couple of things I didn't even bother... this was all I needed to know that working with these guys wasn't going to work.

BUYER BEWARE!!! Time management was the worst I've ever experienced 4 months to complete job. One excuse after another. No compensation for the delay when told 4-6 weeks to complete job. Not professional! Owner hung up on me in the middle of a conversation. I will never use this company again and will NOT recommend to anyone.
